I chose Sweet Waters because it allowed animals and I've been living here for a week. The rooms are wonderful. You cook your own food here. They have bingo, Wii bowling, bible study, prayer groups but I haven't done them all. The people are friendly.

Sweetwater Terraces was a very nice and well-kept gated community. All the other places cost a lot more, but this one includes everything, so it's what I was looking for. It also offers tax credits and that was an incentive for me. The staff was very knowledgeable and very helpful. They offer programs for the residents to do, they provide transportation to go and shop if they need to, and a lot of offerings.

I toured Sweetwater Terraces but I didn't like it. When I went in, the atmosphere didn't feel like a good fit for me. The staff who was supposed to be doing the tour with me never showed up, so I didn't get a good vibe. I got the chance to see the rooms, they were very nice and the layout was also nice. The dining area was nice, and they also had a nice, little store. I didn't get a homey feeling when I was there. They had a lot of activities available, but nothing was going on during my visit. Since the staff didn't show up to give me a tour, one of the residents helped me instead.

I could've gotten a two-bedroom place at Sweetwater but it was not in the best neighborhood. One lady got broken into twice when she was in her apartment. They didn't know how the person got in. That's got to be an inside job. Those doors were opened with a card key to get in and out. So I don't how that could've happened. It was very upsetting. Also, while Sweetwater had a porch, I couldn't put my plants out in the summer time. However, the staff was helpful. The place was spacious and it also had a fish pond with goldfish. The people were very nice. It would've been easy on me financially so I liked this facility a lot.
