We really like Chelsey Park. They have all kinds of cards games, board games, and Bingo. They have all different kinds of things for groups of people to be a part of. All of their food is home-cooked; it is very good. The nurses are very capable and very nice. The ones I met I would give at least a five because of their dedication. My mother doesn't like the physical therapy; however, they continue to encourage her even though she has an attitude about not wanting to do certain things, and wanting to do her own thing.

We toured Chelsey Park Health & Rehabilitation. When we toured it, we saw things that none of us thought about having to teach someone who may have had a stroke like our mom. I mean, they had a bedroom set up so that they could teach them how to get in and out of bed safely. They had a car or a little pickup truck without the bed of the truck so they could teach them how to get in and out of a car from a wheelchair or a walker. They had like a little store set up teaching them how to pick out vegetables, and a booth in a restaurant to teach them how to get in and out. So it was just like things I never thought of that some may need to be shown and it was just truly amazing. They had a private room where there was one patient and they had their bathroom. It was very neat. The patients' rooms were on the second and third floor and each floor had a porch like you could go out there if you were in a wheelchair or walker. You could go out there and sit and just look at the mountains. The staff was very nice. They greeted us with eye contact. The girl that we would have seen happened to be in a meeting so she couldn't give us a tour, but the little girl who worked in the front end said, "I'll be glad to take you around." So she did. She took us to all three floors, and showed us their bathing area, the laundry room, just everything. She did a very good job.

I have absolutely nothing positive to say about Chelsea Park. They call themselves a rehab center but I beg to differ. My husband came to CP from a long term hospital stay. He was fully expected to thrive, rehab and return home. I will spare you the terrible details but he ended up in the hospital within 3 days of their "care". He died! Yes I'm angry. I asked for information and their was very little recorded. A key employee said to me when I asked why information was not recorded on a certain day, "I cant make them do their job". Are you serious? Maybe if they did their job properly, I may still have my husband with me. Think about that.

Horrible place. Pulled mom out after 2nd fall in a month. Both falls while ‘supervised’ and both resulting in serious injury. Mom is currently in hospital with broken hip and bad UTI . 911 was not called immed. after either fall . No MD associated with place- you have to fight to get a shower - 2 weeks before she had one. They claim they are out of water. I filed grievances and don’t be fooled by the pretty surroundings, like I was. Evil doings going on in there !!! Pick somewhere else. Mom walked in needing should replacement therapy and got taken out on a stretcher a month later with a broken hip and UTI !!!!!!!!!!
