My mother-in-law moved into Stonehenge Assisted Living two months ago. It is a one-bedroom. It has a separate bathroom and a closet. It is a nice room. And it has plenty of room in there. They offer food, breakfast, lunch, dinner every night, and snacks whenever they need them. They do the cleaning. They come in and do the house cleaning, housekeeping, and cleaning of her room, and make her bed every morning. They do her laundry and they have a lot of things going on. They go on tours out around the mountains. They have puzzle day. They have a movie day. They take them to different shopping centers if they want to go. And they have a lot of crafts going on at each of the buildings in that community. So they have a lot of amenities.

About Stonehenge Assisted Living in Blairsville, Georgia
Stonehenge opened in 1990 and was the first established senior facility in Union County. We have always been family-owned and operated, and boast more experience than anyone else around. Our amazing staff is led by a manager crew with nearly 50 years of combined service to our residents.
It is our commitment to create a loving family atmosphere with the best personal care for your beloved family member. We always aim to make your family our family here at Stonehenge. What truly separates us from everyone else is that we limit the number of residents to each building and keep a very healthy staff-to-resident ratio. We have 4 separate buildings that will each hold a maximum of 21 residents. We get to know each resident personally and build relationships that go much farther than your average senior care. We do all this at one convenient, all-inclusive price without different levels of care, because at Stonehenge, we strive to give every resident the highest level of care possible.
Accommodations:
We have a variety of floor plans available for your family member. You can bring your own furniture or choose to have your room furnished for you at no additional cost. We have a maintenance crew that will assist you on moving day if you choose to bring your own furniture. Each room comes with a spacious closet, access to wrap-around deck, private bathroom with walk-in shower, handrails, ceiling fan, and cable access.
Swimming Pool?:
We are one of the only senior care facilities that offers a pool for both recreation and exercise. Our pool is open to all residents and their families for get-togethers and parties. During the summer, we have a Pool Club where residents from all buildings go swimming and participate in fun water games and exercises. Our pool is 52 ft x 26 ft and has an ample amount of sitting space for any activity you and the family would like to use it for.
Our Staff:
Our staff is amazingly friendly, loving, and experienced. Our managers have over 50 years of combined experience loving and caring for our residents. We are not just the best at what we do, we love what we do. As a result, we have one of the lowest turnover rates in the industry, and each one of our staff members is experienced with loving and caring for our family of residents.
Not only do we have an experienced staff, we also have an extremely low ratio of residents to staff members. The state only requires one staff member for every six residents. We think that is simply not enough to keep our loved ones safe and feel at home. We offer one staff member for every three residents, because we believe that offers each resident both the most safety and the best opportunity for building relationships. WE ARE FAMILY.
Pet Friendly:
We know that some family members have four legs. We do offer pet-friendly rooms for these family members. When you join our Stonehenge family, we want you to be able to bring your four-legged family members as well. Meow lets bring on the barks!Beauty Salon:?
Our residents love to look their best! We have a hairstylist that works with our residents in each building three times a week, so there are plenty of time slots available for you to get your hair cut, colored, and curled. It is also a great time to socialize with friends and with our hair stylist, Rhonda.
Respite Stay?:
? If you only need to stay with us for a couple of days then that's great! We would love to get to know you, even if only for a brief stay! Need a place to stay while you rehab? Then stop by and check us out! We can accommodate you for as little as a one day stay.Activities:
At Stonehenge, we offer a variety of different activities regularly for our residents. Bingo, crafting, musical acts, dancing, and animal therapy are just a few of the activities we make available to residents. We also hold birthday celebrations, Christmas parties, and various other holiday events.
Medication Management?:?
We manage our residents' medication in order to provide the best care. This is included in the all-inclusive pricing. By overseeing each resident's medication, our staff can easily recognize any changes in symptoms for each resident.

Stonehenge Senior Living in Blairsville was quiet and quaint. It's up in the mountains near where my dad lived so it's a good location and has good facilities. The least I liked about it was that they didn't have a way to progress between their housing units. It was just basic living assistance so if you need more refined living assistance for when he starts having memory problems, stuff like that, they didn't have those facilities. It was assisted living but we want to also check and see if they'd be able to do long-term care as he progresses and needs more services or if he has memory loss or has other problems, that he could still stay in the same community since he's already familiar with the surroundings. They weren't able to provide that care though. You'd have to move to a nursing home for that. The place was well-kept, it's just that it doesn't have the facilities that we're looking for. I believe they offer group areas, game rooms, and they also do haircuts onsite.

We moved my Mother here from Florida, back in December of 2010. We had looked at a few places, and Stonehenge just felt like home when we walked in to look around. We moved her in, and we could not be any happier with her time there. She passed away in August of 2011, but not before she completely fell in love with her 'family' at Stonehenge. They took her into their home and their hearts, and could not have been nicer to us, her family. I highly recommend Stonehenge if you are looking for a place for your elder loved one to call home!

My mom and I liked Stonehenge Assisted Living 3 because it seemed to be really family-oriented. I was very impressed. The rooms were large and personable. They really seemed to care and take time. I liked everything about it.

This facility is the best you can get. I would prefer to have a loved one here than at home. It is the best you can ever dream of.

Touring the facility was a very emotional experience. Though we decided not to place my grandmother here, it was not due to the facility. They were warm and welcoming. The location of this facility was beautiful and offered lots of outdoor space and gorgeous views of the mountains. The staff seemed to be friendly and willing to answer questions that anyone in my family had. It is my hope that my grandmother will continue to thrive on her own, but if she doesn't- it is comforting that there is such a wonderful option so close to her current home.

The staff seemed to be very helpful. I visited the kitchen area and the food appeared to look very tasty & balanced in nutrition. The residents had several different areas they could go to, including several outdoor porches and even a swimming pool. There was also a library which I thought was nice. This seems to be a very independant assisted living facility, as most residents moved about on their own and without the need of a nurse or other type of help. The staff wore regular clothes, not scrubs like nurses, so that seemed to give an air of a more relaxed environment. This facility is easy to locate, situated off a major highway, but far enough away that the residents do not hear the traffic from the highway.

My great grandmother was a sufferer of Alzheimer's. This facility was extremely caring and did everything they could to help take care of her. The staff always went out of their way to help her whether she appreciated it at the time or not. They would help feed her, dress her, and encourage her to take the daily field trips that they provided for the residents to get off of the campus and do things around town. Someone would always sit and talk to her when she was feeling lonely and whenever we would call to check on her they would give us great updates on her health status and the different things she was doing. The rooms were private with a private bathroom and they were extremely nice and you could decorate them however you felt. When I get to an age where I can no longer take care of myself, I would love to be in a facility as nice as this one.
