I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This facility is the worse. My family member went from a hospital to this nursing home. The nursing home did not provide them with the medications they needed. They were giving them one medication which worked against them, and they went back to the hospital almost dead. Azalea is very disorganized. I trusted Azalea to provide the care needed for my family member. I see now I should have followed up on their care because Azalea did not give my family member the medication they required.

My mother is in Azalea Health and Rehabilitation Center. It's close to my home for me to visit my mother, and she likes it very well. It's not a large facility, but she gets pretty good quality care there. The facilities are fine. The staff members are very pleasant. They give the utmost care to the patients. They're very caring to them. The meals are very plentiful to meet my mother's needs and stuff. They always ask things she doesn't like, so they don't give her anything that she doesn't like. They have lots of activities. They have arts and crafts, bingo, cards, Sunday school, and bible classes and stuff like that.

I think You guys are the worst. I would never recommend this place to anyone you need to shut this place down.the staff talks to you any kind of way . And the director candy should be replaced she’s not doing her job .she doesn’t seem to care about the patients.

For some reason these ppl seem to not care about patients & hold grudges. I’ve called 3 days in a row only to either be hung up on or put on a hold no one answers. I’ve never been rude to anyone there but my mom went there really sick. I can’t get info on days I can’t show up. Bathrooms are filthy. After my last call a few minutes ago to ask about my mom I heard them laughing about it & I think she thought she put me on hold but I heard the laughing & she hung up on me. I also have to insist they shower my mom. Zero out of 1 star.

Other

I have had no experience with nursing homes at all, except for reading all the bad things you hear about a home. We entered our mother, and this nursing home has helped us in every way. I do think you need to visit your parents a lot while in a nursing home as you need to know what is going on in the home. If you do not visit you will never see the things that may need to be done, like the changing of the dipper your parents may be in, or the rash they may get on the body. You must keep them accountable about bathing, and hair care, or clothes changed. Just because you place your parents into a home does not mean you leave it all up to the home. Sometimes the CNA'S may have a large load of patients and you just may need to lend them a hand. thank you,

I visited this facility

It was close to the house. The facility was clean and homey. The ladies who showed us around, they were really nice. Most of them were two people to a room. People seemed content there. I would recommend it to others.
