This rehab us the best in the entire state. My husband has been in 3 during this past year. This one is fully staffed, day and night, with professional and very compassionate people. They treat patients like members of their own family. The food is better than most restaurants. They as also have 2 resident cats who love being petted. If I ever need a rehab myself, this is where I will go.

I was there for short term care and physical therapy. Rooms were kept clean, came when buzz was used, water and ice given out regularly but therapy was only for about 20 maybe 30 minutes 5 days a week to me wasn’t enough, it’s not one on one therapy generally there was more. People and they would go back and forth to each patient, therapist were very nice but definitely not enough of them for the amount of patients. Next is the food is disgusting, which I complained about regularly I wouldn’t eat it it was so bad, I got what was supposed to be a phillycheesestakeand it was nothing like one it had so much cheese whizz ( yes I said cheese whiz) I couldn’t even see the meat no onions mushy. Had fried fish one night and it was so bad (dried out ) it would seaperate from the breading fries were the same way. One night we had buttery fish and it didm’t taste right so I only took one bite and left it but had a bad stomach ache a few hours later, found out when I called nurse to give me something for my stomach I found out a lot of patients were having the same problem. Glad I didn’t eat more of it. Breakfast was about the only halfway decent food. My friend was having to bring me snacks etc to me because I wasn’t eating much. Some foods were so salty I couldn’t eat them. They sure do need a new cook because the one they have needs to learn how to cook not just throw crap together and call it good. I got mayonnaise packets each day and they were swelled up ( I was always told if they are swelled means they are bad) I showed a man in dinning room them and said he would take care of it and threw the ones I gave him in the trash, that very night I got them again on my tray and every day I got them until I left there. They only bath patients got was 2 times a week. I washed in my sink each day because they refused to let me stand to take a shower standing up ( I wouldn’t sit on the nasty shower chair that everyone uses) so they refused me my shower unless I sat in the chair. I asked to speak to someone in administration office and was told someone would come talk to me but they never did. I asked 4 different people and got the same response I had to sit down. They I guess would rather me not shower. I was capable of standing so why would I not stand. My last complaint when I walked out of there I let them know how I daily watched the employees park in the 3 handicap parking spot s for their entire shift, and was told ( well we’ve been found out, we can’t find a spot so we use them) well I watched many handicapped people park in other spots because there was none to park in. If the place doesn’t know they do now and should do something about it. I will never go in there again because the bad outweighs the good.

Don't be mesmerized by the smoke and mirrors, i.e. bunnies, cats, turtles, etc. I regret putting my mother in Health Central Park. First, they wanted my mom to be put on a DNR. That is mine and my mom's decision to make, not theirs. I recommend the DNR only if the patient is terminal. Health Central Park wants all of the long term patients to be put on the DNR. I believe Health Central Park uses the DNR to give less care to the patient. If your loved one needs to go to the hospital while living there, make absolutely sure that they are taken. Do not let them tell you that your loved one does not need to go to the hospital. They try not to send anyone to the hospital. Next, whenever your loved one is diagnosed with something, ask for a second opinion from a medical professional that is not connected to the facility. Next, you must make sure that your loved one is treated for any infections that might occur. Such as a UTI(Urinary Tract Infection), or any other types of infections. A UTI infection can make a patient have personality changes. A real doctor will confirm this but the nursing home will not. The nursing home will chalk this up to dementia. Dementia is a catch all diagnosis that they throw around for everything and use for an excuse to not test and subsequently not treat the infections because it was not confirmed by a proper test. The facility is penalized if they have too many UTI's, bedsores, rashes, hospital trips, etc. I believe that the facility would rather the patient die than have too many hospitalizations, reports of infections, etc. Do not bother making a report to the facility if there are problems or complaints to be made. I believe that they just throw them away. Instead, call the police and make a report with an officer. I could go on forever about the neglect this place gets away with on a daily basis. They did not want to help her with her meals even after she was declared blind. She got fingernail fungus as a result of eating with her hands and my husband had to point this out to them. They were oblivious. They would not answer the call button, or they would claim you pressed the wrong button. I had to cut my mom's fingernails because they would not do it. I wonder about the other patients in the home because not everyone had visitors. One patient told me that she just chewed her nails when they became too long. Please help me make this place either shut down or reform.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY! Our experience has been just awful. These nurses do not come in the room when you push the button. If you push the button too much...they will unplug it. They will also make comments about what you are watching and they definitely don't like Trump. Lots of issues with getting the correct medication. Extremely unethical and unprofessional practice.

My mother was there both for rehab and for long term care. This place is a place of love and caring. My mother eventually passed away. The care given both during her living there and during her death process was a blessing from God. I was there throughout the nights and watched the care and attention to the residents. It was terrific. The residents are constantly changed. Bedding is constantly renewed. The infirm are constantly moved and watched over . Many of the CNA's and Nurses love God and serve Him there. My wife and I now go and visit folks weekly and everyone is friendly and kind. There is no better place for a parent or loved one. We personally know the staff there and they truly care!

My friend was sent here for rehab after breaking her wrist. She so appreciated the wonderful care, friendly staff, clean and fresh smelling facility, food served in the dining room or in her room , beautiful grounds, daily activities, chance to watch the bunnies, or turtles in their outdoor habitats, and ice cream socials (delightful to share w visitors), that she chose to become a permanent resident after her break healed!! That was a year ago and she still loves it:)

She is on the waiting list at Health Central Park, and it’s a very nice facility. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My uncle was in there for rehab but became terminally sick, and they treated him very well. Everybody was very nice. It’s a couple of streets from my house, and I am hoping to be able to place my mother. They have cafeterias and dining areas, and they will come to your room if you would not be able to come down for the meals. It’s clean and doesn’t smell like a nursing home. I would recommend it.

My mom is currently with hospice care at home and they just let me know yesterday that they had found her a bed in a nursing home. I have visited it. It is 5 minutes from my house, called Health Central Park. It is one of the top-rated nursing homes. It is a very nice place. I haven't put her there yet, but from all I have heard from others that had recommended it to me and from what I saw, I have no problems with her going there. I'm sure I'm going to be very happy. The staff was very helpful and very kind. They took me on a tour and showed me everything. They were very accommodating. I saw their dining area, and it was very nice. The whole place was very nice. I saw on their schedule board that they had a lot of good activities. They had a big variety of activities going on for anybody that is able to do them.

Mom broke her hip and had to go to the hospital. Then she needed rehabilitation so I went and looked for other skilled nursing facility; that's how I found Health Central Park. It doesn't look much on the outside, but on the inside it's the staff whom make it so wonderful. They're very caring. It was like a family atmosphere.

Health Central Park has been excellent. I'm very pleased with the care that they've given to my mother. My mother was on Medicaid and nobody wants to take Medicaid people and we just don't have enough money to put her in a nursing home. The staff is excellent. Everybody there is wonderful and I don't have any complaints at all. I just wish that they could provide some sort of transportation for all of the residents to go to the doctor because it costs me a lot of money when my mom has to go to a clinic once a month. I understand that they have only one bus but obviously that's not enough to the number of residents they have. But I don't mean that as negative towards them, I think that's just all that they have.

I am in a nursing program and have visited this facility as part of my clinicals. The facility is beautiful, clean, with a big central garden with lots of trees, walkways and gazebos. The staff is very friendly and kind. And as someone who got a chance to work "behind the scenes", every nursing protocol was followed exactly.
