My aunt stayed at Palm Gardens, and she always talked so happily about the staff there. She said the care members there were always so kind to her and extremely attentive to her needs - always asking to help. And she especially loved getting her hair done there… it was always something she looked forward to during her stay. My family and I are so happy our aunt was able to stay there and receive such wonderful care. I also had the pleasure of meeting some of the staff there and found them all to be very kind and helpful - especially Carol who went above and beyond the call of duty to help our family with many things on behalf of our aunt. I wish more places for the elderly were like Palm Gardens.

The food was terrible it was cold when you got it. The people neglected to take care of my husband. He had a bed soar they kept saying it was getting better but was a 4. The people at night would neglect him. He had to go back to the hospital because he was so blocked up with feces he now has to wear colostomy bag. Plus he was so undernurished he also has a feeding tube. I am so disappointed with that place. I wouldn't take anyone there.

I'm in Palm Garden of Vero Beach now. I can't move out of bed, so they do everything for me. It's very clean and everything that you could need is here. What I would say negatively is about the people who give the care. Some of the CNAs are short-tempered and that's very difficult to deal with. The food is very bad. It's hardly edible, so I buy a lot of food and they bring it in. They have a lot of activities, but I can't participate in any of them. The rooms are very nice. I'm sharing a room and it's difficult to share with somebody, but I have a window that looked out at trees, grass, and animals, and it's very nice. There are some people here that are very good and others that are very bad. I'm bedridden and no one answers the call button from about 10:00 at night until 5:00 in the morning, so I think that's very dangerous. If a patient had a heart attack or something, you just press that button forever and no one comes.

I would like to share how our family feels about the care our mom is getting at Palm Garden. All of the staff are an incredibly professional group of people who work as a team in every way. Our mom has been a resident in the Reflections Unit for over three years. She has Alzheimer's disease. Every staff member has been patient, kind and loving to our mom. Mom has always been well cared for physically and emotionally. The staff makes us feel welcome and at ease while we are visiting mom. During this awful pandemic the Palm Garden staff has been incredible with mom. They keep her engaged in activities and she has been thriving during this time. I get a phone call giving me a "mom update" several times a week. If I call Reflections the nurses have been so good about telling me exactly how she is doing. I even talked to someone at length on a Sunday afternoon in the event that mom's COVID 19 diagnosis takes a turn for the worse. They are such good listeners and always answer all my questions. Our family feels that without a doubt our mom is in the absolutely best place at this time. We have total peace of mind that she is being cared for by the best. Thank you everyone for what you do day in and day out. We appreciate EVERYTHING! Cathy Clifton

They have a very good physical therapy team. The facility has hard working people there that care. They are constantly upgrading. Far superior over the other rehabs in area.

My mother was in there in March this year from a stroke/blood clot to the brain that affected her memory. The facility was clean and she wrote down how everyone had a smile and was so nice. Being the daughter you don’t think anyone can care for them as well as you’d like but she liked it and had nothing bad to say. She even liked the food and ate very well. She came home for over three months and unfortunately the memory went to dementia and I could not physically or mentally keep caring properly for her. She is back in and everyone has been above and beyond helpful. It was the toughest thing I had to do and cried for days but I see her eating better, interacting, and most of all using your gift of a prayer warrior on ones you are willing to receive. That is one area she has in tact with the memory and has helped that this is where her gift is being used again. Thank you all for all that you do.

Our first experience with PGVB was in February after mom's stroke. The facility is clean and smells good. She was in the rehab unit and received excellent care. The nursing and rehab staff were adept and knowledgeable, and got her strong enough to go home safely within her insurances timeframe. After a few months mom's cognition declined to the point that she required more care than we could provide at home. She returned to Palm Gardens, this time as a long term care patient. Her room is semi-private and plenty large enough to accommodate both patients. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and understanding of mom's condition. I visit often, both during the week and on weekends, and have always found mom clean and well attended to. They encourage her to come out of her room and go to activities. She seems to enjoy the church services the most. The administration is approachable and seems to be very hands on. I often see Edwin, the Administrator, in the hallways talking to patients, family and staff. All the admin I have met have been very receptive to questions and concerns. This transition has been very hard for the family, and while I understand no place is perfect, PGVB has gained my confidence that my mom is well cared for and safe.

Management needs to step up staffing especially on week-ends. Although there is a handful of very caring and compassionate CNAs most don't care. When someone has to wait 3 hours for medication and/or assistance something is wrong.

My mother in-law had the worst experience ever. Beyond the food being bad, they do not communicate, and are understaffed. I never saw the attending physician once! They discharged her without any of the proper equipment being ordered. They sent her home with no walker, no colostomy bags or any other medical supplies. She lives alone! In fact as they wheeled her out the door, they handed her a prescription and told her to go to Walgreen's herself. She can't even walk! We have been battling the staff there ever since to get in home care, her records forwarded to the primary care physician, etc. I can't believe they are in business!

The place is clean and does not smell. They do not have enough help! It is sad when a patient is left waiting to be put back into bed or to be changed. They need to hire more employees. The food is the worst ever.

I was recently there for rehab and i cannot say enough great things about this facility. LOVED MY PRIVATE ROOM, it is like living in a hotel. Everyone was friendly, therapy got me back walking again within 2 weeks. The food was great and the nurses are very compassionate and attentive to your needs.

This is a TOP NOTCH facility. I was just discharged recently and I didn't want to leave. The private rooms and bathrooms are absolutely gorgeous. Its very similar to being in a hotel. The staff are all very friendly and got me up and walking quickly again. The therapy gym is like working out at a regular gym with all new equipment. The food was actually really good surprisingly. Overall, I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone.

Palm Garden is an excellent place. I would live there forever if I could. The food needs improvement. They have a memory center and accept Medicaid. Their dementia unit is a locked down room. They played bingo, church services, and music. They keep you busy.

My mom is at Palm Garden of Vero Beach, and she really likes the place. The facility is super clean. They rotate the nurses a lot and everybody is super nice to her. They are really nice and they help you with just about everything that you want to know. They have three nice meals a day and tons of activities. It's sort of a hospital setting, and they accept Medicare/Medicaid.

I volunteered at this nursing home in Vero Beach, Florida. The staff were very helpful and nice and provided several activities for the elderly. Each day of the week there was some type of hands-on activity such as drawing, games involving a beach ball, playing musical instruments. A lot of the people in this nursing home were very ill or unable to move about by themselves so as little activity as blowing bubbles was a thrill to them. It just really made me happy to see a group of staff so hands-on and excited to start everyday. You could definitely tell the difference it made to the patients.
