We toured Brookdale Tavares. It was very clean and very well organized. It's small. What impressed us is that they paid a lot of attention to our aunt. We wanted to stay away from a lot of big facilities. So I think she would fit in the small residency there. The staff was great. We enjoyed them. My aunt seemed to be very pleased with the people that she met there, and she liked it. She's very social, so that was a good thing. We liked it. The staff seemed professional and caring, and that's what I needed. I needed somebody to take an interest in my aunt because she's going to be living there, and I can't be around all the time. We had lunch there and it was good. The food was wholesome and nutritious. I see that they have worked hard on keeping it up and doing well, and the staff seems to be interested in the residents, so I'm happy with them.

Brookdale Tavares had a nice setup. The staff seemed a bit more involved with everybody there. The facility was clean and set up well, but to me, it was a little confining. It was small feeling. They had a hair salon. The staff seemed friendly and caring.

Brookdale Tavares was quiet and very clean. The staff said the place was just completely remodeled, which I noticed. The rooms were brand new. They had a kitchenette, a roll-in shower, and a bathroom. If you're in a wheelchair, you can go right in, so they were nice. They have a garden outside. People who like to garden can go out there to garden. They have bingo, and they have other activities. They have a restaurant. They have a bunch of groups in there that people get together and do things, which is all right. It's a nice place, but it is just too far away for my mother for her friends to visit.

My friend has been in Brookdale Tavares for 2 months now. The staff is very nice, and everything seems to be OK. She got a lovely room with 2 rooms and a shower. She has a kitchen without a stove, but has a microwave and a refrigerator. They have bookcases with books in it outside of their rooms. I'm pretty pleased with it. She likes that the facility is smaller and easy to get around in because she uses a walker or a wheelchair.

Brookdale Tavares was a very nice, clean, and well-kept place. The rooms were nice, but they only had a shared room, which we did not want for my dad. The staff was pretty good. I could see that the residents were well cared for.

The staff is excellent and very helpful, and I'm very pleased. The food is excellent. They're very caring to my parents. The rooms are a little small, but very clean, and they got brand new carpeting. They play bingo and puzzles. They're very interactive with the people there. It's very secure. You have to be let in and let out. They love Brookdale Tavares. They're very welcoming. They just have some issues with the nursing staff. There's turnover a couple of times and getting my mother's meds has been a little frustrating at times, but it has always been rectified.

I went to visit Sterling House of Tavares (Brookdale Tavares), and the place is very nice, but unaffordable for us. Their base month pay was OK, but then doing laundry was an extra charge. They have an a la carte menu almost. The rooms are very nice and are a lot bigger than the other facilities I've seen.

My father enjoyed his stay at Brookdale Tavares. His apartment was roomy and he was able to decorate it to his liking. The staff is very caring and attentive. Because it is a smaller facility everyone is like family.

Brookdale Tavares was just immaculate. They treated us out to lunch, and the food was good. I really like it a lot and would like my father to go there, but it is one he just can't afford. I thought the people were wonderful. We got to meet the chef and the activities director. The lady that took us around was wonderful. I had no objections to it except for the fact that he can't afford it. They showed us a studio and a smaller one bedroom, and both of them were very nice. They have a lot of things like sing-along and games. I really didn't delve into that much because he doesn't participate in that kind of stuff much. But I know he would like the music part and the church services which they said they did. The security and safety looked excellent.

Sterling House of Tavares was a very wonderful place. I think they had about 50 or 60 residents. I noticed that the dining room was smaller. The staff was very kind and accommodating to the patients. The people who worked there were very friendly. The place itself was very clean. They had a beautiful garden area. I arrived there after lunch, so I was not able to have a taste of their food. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.

Sterling House of Tavares is extremely well designed. The people are very outspoken and very pleasant. The atmosphere is conducive to relaxation. I was very pleased with their reception and how the staff was very pleasant with my sister-in-law. She is already joining groups with their activities. She was doing things now that she wasn’t doing before. It’s very rewarding for us. The rooms were adequate, and we got new furniture for the apartment. I was able to observe several meals, and I was very pleased. She was also able to bring her cat.

I went to Sterling House. It was very nice. You could tell it was very well maintained as far as the carpeting and the walls. When you walked in, it did not smell like a nursing home. The lady who showed me around was very nice, and she answered all of my questions. She was very courteous. I was very pleased with her. They have special activities for the month, but they also have activities like arts and crafts activities, and they do musical things. They have someone who comes in and they plays music for them. They have dancing for ones who are able to do that. I recommended it to a friend of mine for her father.

Sterling House of Tavares was nice, but their rooms were too small for us. Their dining room was nice. They have tables all over and people sitting at tables. We were able to eat there and the food was good. The staff were fine. The girl that was in charge when we visited the facility was very nice to us.

Sterling House of Tavares is a small facility and it didn’t have an outside access from your room. The people there were very nice. I've looked at their dining room and it's lovely. Overall the facility is very nice, I just wish they had patios and porches.

I like that the residents are a priority and that the staff put a lot of time and hard work in to caring for the residents, spending time with them, working with them, listening to them, protecting them, and supporting them. They communicate with the residents like family, I always hear them talking and laughing. I hear the staff members ask questions and talk about things that only a close friend or relative of the resident would know. They seem to really know each resident on a personal level, as well as the resident's family members who visit often. The residents look comfortable with the staff, they have even told me that they trust the staff and feel comfortable and safe discussing with them matters of a personal nature. I know, from my visits, that there is a lot of "good" that goes on within this facility and I really admire all of the attention and one-on-one care that is shown to each residents. Debbie Flaherty and staff seem to show great pride in the care provided to every resident every day, which is great!
