Our family is so grateful to Amalia Gardens for the wonderful care they took of our husband/father/grandfather. He lived with dignity, care and friendship in this lovely, family run, immaculately clean, caring facility. The home is a bungalow with four bedrooms, some private, some shared. The kitchen is the heart of the home, where the caretakers prepare home cooked food, and the residents share the food, family style, sitting at a table. There is a lovely patio outside we enjoyed many visits. Family and friends are always welcome. The place is spotless. The only comment we would make is that most of the caretakers only speak Spanish - but they try their darndest to make themselves understood and really the language of caring is universal.

My mother was in several ALFs, and I wasn't really happy with any of them. When it came time to find a place for my father, I was lucky to find Amalia Gardens. It is absolutely spotless, and the staff is wonderful. They helped me throw a 90th birthday party for my dad, and treat him every day with love and respect. I feel they were heaven sent.

The assisted living place that I was going to bring my dad to was called Amalia Gardens ALF, which was a private facility. A woman from a rehab facility referred me to this place. Amalia Gardens was the place that my dad decided that he would go to. That was the one that he himself thought was the best. The facility was small and intimate. It was a six to eight-bed facility, but it was very clean and very well kept. I think there would be a lot of caring going on there. I thought my dad would probably do better there. Their rooms were small, and there was a lot of sharing of the rooms there. I thought it was awesome. I like this place. If I have to go a place, that's the one I want to go to. I think the staff was very good. They were hardworking people, very helpful and very caring. The residents themselves seemed very well kept and very happy. They did have some activities. The meals were all homemade. The kitchen was very clean and brand new. It was very nice. When you walked in, it was just very pleasant.

When we were looking for an ALF for our mother, this one stood out from all of the rest. Not only for it's bright cheerful atmosphere, but for the warmth and care exuded by Aglay, the owner. It took awhile to get mom healthy enough to become a resident here and we were so happy that they still had a room available at that time. She received loving care from the CNA's, wonderful home cooked meals, pleasant conversation with her new roommates. We couldn't have been more happy. When mom's health took a turn for the worst they were right there by her side at the hospital with us. We all cried together when mom passed. We were disappointed she wasn't able to enjoy many years with Aglay and her staff. We will miss them.
