I went to Azalea Gardens. They were outstanding. I can easily see my mom settling in there. They offered activities for her. They offered her food that she would be interested in. The place itself was clean, attentive, and had no problem. The staff was very friendly. That was like one of our A-plus places we'd like to send her. It was more of a community-type environment that she wouldn't be by herself. She'd be with groups. The rooms that they'll stay in, the doors were always open. It was very clean and very spacious. The food was very appealing. It would be something that my mom and dad would eat. I think that they would enjoy it. I've been to one place where the food was a little bit too fancy for my parents, and I know that they wouldn't be comfortable there at all. The staff has followed up with us several times and was very informative. If we needed anything, even if we decided not to go with them, she would help us out. Just overall, the staff was outstanding.

Communication is very little with administration. Staff not respected and overwhelmed. Rooms never cleaned and roaches in rooms. Forget any laundry being done, there are no shower days. Very little activities and residents rarely are taken outside. No amenities. Advice: place a camera in your loved ones room and check any facility through AHCA, DCF and Leon County Clerk of Courts.

I liked that Azalea Gardens Alzheimer's Special Care Center wasn't really big. The lady who set up the visit and the executive director seemed genuinely interested in showing me around. All the workers that I saw spoke to me, and it seemed like they really enjoyed what they were doing. They did a couple of follow-ups with me. However, they don't offer a shorter stay. It had a nice warm feeling. It's a fairly new place.

I had a chance to your Azalea Gardens it is a beautiful community, was greeted by a warm office manager was offered coffee etc and given a wonderful your by the Director. The staff was very pleasant and greeted us with a warm smile. They all seem to be involved with the residents weather it was a large setting or more one on one. I love the fact that they learn the people who moves in there life story and role that into there daily living. The calendar seem to be exciting. I actually met some of the residents heading out for their weekly luncheon with I thought was great. I'm very excited about Azalea being out on Thomasville road , I was excited to know that they will have a day program starting soon. I was very impressed with Azalea as a whole.
