My husband moved to Harbor Chase of Stuart. It's a beautiful place and the people there are attentive. If you have any problems they get on it right away and then make sure that solves anything that goes on. It's a separate unit. It's memory care, a really big unit, and it has a lot of nice things in there. The girls there are nice. Everybody that works there is great. The food is wonderful. They do get people up in the morning, then they do projects with them or they do projects with the painting. They have a beautiful courtyard out there that they can go out and walk around. They have movies for them, people come in and sing with them, and they have an activities director who leads them. My husband has a whole room for himself with a bathroom attached. Then that's it. We have to supply everything else. They don't supply anything. It's just like you moved into a loft. They don't supply stuff. You have to bring whatever you need for your husband or your patient.

Do not send your family member here. At the opening of the facility they made many promises. They had professional closers there to get you to sign your loved one up there. Now a few years later they have gone through multiple directors, staff has turned over several times and the newest group don't seem to care about anything. They move them like a herd of cattle from the dining area to the chairs in the back to make it easy to keep control. They lock all the patiences doors so they can't get into their rooms to lay down. Most meds are given by crushing them to make it easier to give but people are not getting the full benefits of their meds. They are short handed and don't have enough staff to give the proper care of the people in memory care. The entire staff has quit that was there because of the pressure of caring for people without enough help. Family members fall all the time, there is no exercise unless you call sitting in a chair and moving your arms exercise. There is not scheduled events to look at and the place has really gone down the drain. I wish I would do it all over again and find a place that takes care of their people. Please don't put your loved one here as you will regret doing so. It is a shame that as we get older we have to depend on a place like this. Plus they are charging different prices for each person in the facility, They should all be uniform. Prices have gone through the roof and there is no real explenation as to why. Lots of staff can barely speak english. How can someone tell them if they are in pain or suffering if the staff can't speak english?

Please Do not send your loved one to this memory care. Do not be fooled by the beauty and newness of the facility. Staff is so friendly upon sign up but once in they could care less. No memory Care Director for months now and staff like it this way. No one to complain too. Care Staff DO not wear name tags or keep them visible so you Never know who you are talking too. I have seen residents in wheelchairs who cannot feed themselves not getting fed when their families aren't there. Water kept out of reach from residents due to their making a mess!! What?? Prisoners treated better... Can't get out of here fast enough but they have a hefty front end payment. Wish I had known!!

Our mom moved in fall of last year. Assisted Living was new to her but the director and salesperson made her feel right at home. She stays active & social. We ate there with mom during the holidays, great food. Nicely decorated. Wish the director didn’t leave, he was so friendly & accommodating.

All that glitters is not gold! Beautiful facility but that's all! The care is definitely lacking especially with those in memory Care. No activities, no schedule posted. Was told about daily warm towels before meals (lasted two weeks). Was promised a "fluffing service" by the beautician daily (lasted two weeks). On a more serious note their have been many medication errors sending residents to the hospital. Many falls due to lack of supervision and activities. Food is completely different than Assisted Living..subpar. No one is in charge. Many changes in Directors..Stay Away!!

The facility is decorated beautifully but for the residents in memory care it is an uncaring and dangerous place to live. Prior to move in the sales rep will role out the red carpet and make promises that will never be kept. The facility is usually understaffed so many residents are left alone with nothing to do but wander aimlessly. When you are visiting and need help with your family member good luck finding a care partner to help you. If you can get a member of management to return your call regarding your loved one's care they never follow through. We have had problems with medication management, not being showered and changed, dietary issues, and too many more to list. My advice - stay away.

Hubby transferred 10/1/2021 to Harbor Chase and arrived with all meds and medication list. Had a few issues, especially lack of staff, but he was doing okay until he had a sudden decline. He was unable to walk, drooling and crying. Called Hospice and the nurse who came discovered he had not been given his meds for two weeks. He takes about 10 different meds for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, some of which cannot be abruptly stopped. I took him out on the 31st and he is now at home, bed bound with 24 hour a day help. He did not regain his ability to walk after reinstating meds. Gross negligence on their part, no accountability, and I have reported them to State Regulators.

Harbor Chase was brand new. It probably had everything that we needed, except it does not have a pool. They have the two-bedroom and two baths that we wanted, but the price was very high. The staff was excellent. They gave us a full tour and explained everything very clearly.

My husband is in the memory care of Harbor Chase Stuart. They just opened up last October so they're just starting to fill up the rooms. It has memory care, senior apartments and assisted living. I'm very pleased with that place. There's something going on all the time. When I went there on Saturday to visit, they were all getting ready to get in the van to go fishing. They took them all out: wheelchairs, walkers, everything, out into the dock. The ones who want to fish, fish and then they had a picnic. A chef was there; cooking hamburgers and hotdogs. I was impressed. They have exercises, a gym, a courtyard, and memory games to fit whatever the person's memory ability is. I'm a little concerned that the personal care isn't as much as it could be. They have 4 people to a table. There are tablecloths, wine glasses with water, and beautiful table settings. It's like a restaurant. The facility is very clean.
