My husband was a patient at this facility this past February. He had dementia and was complete care. The hospital had a difficult time finding a facility that would accept him and I wasn't happy when he was accepted at Consulte because of the very poor reviews! The care he received was exceptional. The staff was very caring. I have no complaints regarding the facility. My husband passed away on February 28th and I appreciate the quality of he care he received in his last days

My aunt was a patient for two months in this facility. There were a few amazing staff members that made it tolerable for her and helped ease my worries. Danielle, the front end receptionist was always kind, Kelly, the social worker helped me understand the level of care that would be needed and kept me informed on her progress. Callita, is THE BEST NURSE EVER. She made my aunt comfortable when she wanted to leave, provided fast and accurate information to her, facilitated a transition between my aunt leaving and an invaluable understanding of the process to myself. Karen was also a wonderful nurse. Ramona, the company director, was extremely unprofessional and appeared to be disconnected in assisting our family. She is one of the main reasons we removed my aunt from this facility. I called to speak with Ramona regarding an issue with an aide whom I heard speak horribly to my aunt. Ramona seemed just as concerned to point out how difficult my aunt was all while discussing the issue with this aide. The two topics did not go hand and hand. I was told our call was not therapeutic and would be disconnected when I explained my frustrations to Ramona. She stated this two times and then disconnected our call. And Marietta or Marianna, a night aide, was down right a disgusting person. She shouldn’t have contact with patients or customers in any job. I was on the phone with my aunt and this aide was yelling at her in the background. She raised her voice and spoke extremely disrespectful while my aunt was in the phone with me. I will be filing a formal report with the company headquarters and quite possibly call the media to discuss this situation. Please check on your loved ones. This standard of care and facility is poor.

This place is a dump which is so sad to say. If I could give zero stars, I would. I wouldn’t bring my animals here. The administrator is a space cadet. I feel sorry for her employees. The grounds of the facility make the facility look like it’s been out of order for years. There seems to be litter throughout the facility halls. Cigarette butts everywhere outside. The rumors in the community about consulate are true and you should stay away.

They dont care about the residents. The so called CNAs would rather stand around and play games or talk on their cell phones. They leave people in dirty diapers for hours on end. When you say something about it its always its not my fault the last shift did it. The so called head nurse has the same reply for everything " I will look into it" and then never does. The care is horrible and the weekends are worse. You cant find anyone thats actually working on the weekends. If you want to check out this place do it on the weekend so you see what its really like. Scary for the poor people in there. Also cleanlyness is not important to them either.

My Aunt was a resident here for rehab following a fall and a spell in hospital. I visited her after she had been in Consulate Health Care of St Petersburg for some weeks. She did not know who I was and I felt that the end was near: she lay in bed all the time, had no ability to converse and tired easily - I couldn't speak to her for more than one or two minutes each visit. I decided that I did not want my Aunt's last days to be spent there and moved her to another (unconnected) facility overlooking the water in Clearwater. At this time she was so weak that I feared she might not survive the journey from St Petersburg to Clearwater. The first time I visited her in the new facility and was astonished by the improvement. She was up out of bed (in a wheelchair), dressed, clean, hair nicely done, and knew who I was as soon as I arrived. We were able to spend two hours chatting.

My brother was here for almost 2 months.Sadly he passed away last week. After asking many times for his mouth to be kept clean I checked during one of my visits and pried off a 1/4 inch thick piece of dried mucus from the roof of his mouth.Only after I took a picture and sent 2 emails did he finally get proper oral care.I will never forgive myself for letting my brother spend his final weeks in that place. Please do your research before choosing this place.

This place is horrible. My friend is here. This morning they didn't bring her any breakfast. When we called to complain, they brought her food they know she can't eat. She's lost 30 lbs since arriving there. They make her wait hours at night for someone to get her ready for bed. Another resident wanders into her room and won't leave all day. If she falls asleep, this resident steals things out of her drawers. Nothing is done. They don't properly care for her and they don't care.

I did talk with the residents at Consulate Health Care of St. Petersburg, and the residents seem good about the staff that work there. It’s a pretty nice place, it’s clean, and it’s big. They don’t have individual rooms; you have to share with somebody.

My friend went in last night from Palms of Pasadena. He is supposed to be there for pain management. What I saw last night is so sad. The place is so run down with paint peelling off the walls in his room and run down furniture. They don't even have phones in the room for the paitents to use to call out on. It took them over a hour and half to come in the room to see him. When I went up to the nursing station to find out how long it would be for someone to see him I was treated like I was bothering them. I hope that is not how all the staff are there. We will see what the day time brings. All I can say if you have other options take it. Run from here.

I didn't even want to give this place one star RUN!!!! Do not bring your loved one here. They neglect the patients they are rough on them and the doctor is horrible. I had a family member here they neglected him so bad he almost died. He was only there for a month and a half he lost 20 pounds due to the lack of care he went into renal failure due to being severely dehydrated there is no compassion Please do not have your loved ones stay here. If you love and care for them you will listen to what I wrote everything I wrote is real I almost lost my uncle due to there neglect

My friend Gerald was also a resident of Consulate. It's right off the main road. Activity wise, they offered day trips in certain places, like flea market. They had movie nights, bingo and card games. They also provided physical therapy. The staff were helpful. If there is a person not compatible with him, they would try to move that person. However, I would like the staff to be more aware of their residents because sometimes Gerald would say that the nurses would talk real loud outside his room and he doesn't like that.

I go down to Consulate Healthcare two times a day. Everything is clean and nice. I don't have anything to compare them to, but I'm satisfied with it. Generally, the staff is okay. They have activities but my friend won't do any of them because she's too weak. The food looks okay. However, they could probably pay more attention to the residents there because some of the staff have a tendency to ignore them.
