I visited this facility

Every time I visit this nursing home the staff has been nice and polite. I was really pleased to hear the residents and staff were safe during hurricane Milton and never lost power. There is a lot of longevity here with the staff which says a lot. This facility is nice and clean. I visited other nursing homes before and overall this facility has been the best.

This facility is awful and does not deserve even a single star! Please spar your loved one the pain and suffering and undignified treatment from this “facility” The CNAs are calloused and rude. They try to hide bedsores and They stand around the desk chatting while patients are literally screaming and moaning for help. I have so many examples… My father’s was left in the bathroom alone sliding out of his chair yelling for help and the cna was no where to be found and no one else did anything. I went to the desk where no less than 6 staff were standing around chatting and laughing and ignoring him. When I asked for help and why they were not doing anything one of them states…miss your dad is just confused. I told them what I saw and I was NOT confused and demanded help now. One of them snapped on gloves and sauntered slowly with an attitude to go assist. They don’t pay attention to signs of infections such as UTI, shingles and COVID. every time I visited my father there (who passed due to infections from the facility) I had to plead with someone for assistance and to take care of his needs. They did not care if he ate or had fluids. This experience happened this year in 2024

I have been in several nursing home facilities and Menorah Life is the cleanest facitlity by far. The social workers are #1! From the top administration, doctors, nurses, physical therapists, aids, cna's they all care about the residents. I live across the country from my Aunt whom resides at Menorah Life. I try and visit her quarterly. I have had great experiences when visiting her!

My mother was staying in Menorah Manor for rehab. It was a very good experience. The medical staff and everyone were just very professional, polite, and very patient. The place was incredibly clean on a daily basis, and everybody seemed to cares, from the front door admin all the way to the nurses, the PTs, to the doctors. Her room was very nice. Even when they had to share a room, they have dividers so there's complete privacy. The staff took great care of her on a daily basis, and we were there almost every day also. She is an official member of the Clean Plate Club, she loved the food and we thought it was very, very nutritional. From a taste perspective, she ate everything, three meals a day. We looked at moving my mom permanently over and got all the information. Just in case she would ever have another fall or need rehab or better medical treatment, we would move her to Menorah Manor.

Menorah Manor has provided loving care for four of my family members over the past many years. Currently, with the covid pandemic, as a family we have watched with gratitude the extra steps MM has taken to keep our mother safe and healthy. While I sorely miss the opportunities to hug my mom, I know that she is being well taken care of .

My mother has been in the nursing home memory ward on the 2nd floor for 2 years. I moved her to Menorah Manor from another facility and am pleased with the move. As a result of a fall and brain injury she went from living alone to to requiring full skilled care. The food is very good, and she has a nice clean private room. The nurse practitioner on staff is very good, and they also have a full time psychologist, which is a nice feature because many residents are subject to depression, etc. The Medical Director is outstanding, and the management and administrative staff are very good - the fact that some of them have their own relatives residing here is comforting. There are many activities available but she is unable to participate fully due to her condition. All of the CNAs seem OK - some of them are great; some are OK but seem overwhelmed or jaded and are probably in the wrong profession - it takes special people to work in these circumstances. It is more expensive than the place I moved her from, but definitely worth the additional cost. A lower ratio of residents per CNA would be desirable, but for the price I think the situation is acceptable.

My mother was there one night, and was rushed to ER next day; she almost didn't make it. Staff was rude and acted uncaring. Would not send anyone I care about to this facility.

I had family stay on the 4th floor rehab about 4 years ago. Found some staff very good providing good care and encouragement. Sadly, Alot of staff was indifferent, preoccupied and displayed an attitude of indifference. I have a friend there now and she has not had positive experience. Staff has talked over her when she tried to verbalize her needs and an attitude of not wanting to be bothered has been shown on several occasions. Thank you to the staff who do provide good care which promotes healing. To those of you who lack the skill to provide good care, perhaps some education to learn that skill

My mother-in-law is receiving short term rehab here and is very happy. Altho she is in a "shared" room, there is a real wall between the 2 sides with curtain only over the doorway. It makes it seem much more like a little apartment and not a shared room. She loves the privacy it affords her. She has been able to sit in on a bingo game as well as other activities. There is a beautiful garden she could go sit in if she chooses. The staff are all very cheerful and helpful, the room / bathroom is clean and she says the food is delicious. She also says the physical therapists make her sessions fun and interesting and to our great surprise she looks forward to them every day! We're very comfortable having our loved one at this facility knowing she's getting the best of care! Thank you!

My Mom is in this facility now and is receiving excellent loving full skilled care. The staff is always friendly and attentive in all areas. I ask Mom constantly about the care she receives and she is always complimentary. I promise she would tell me otherwise. The transition could have been very hard because she went from “senior living” to requiring full skilled care in one step (no assisted living). I am very grateful for the care and attention she is receiving.

I am a friend or relative of resident

I only gave 1 star because was I prompted to give something. I was disappointed in Menorah for my mother in law that was there for short term rehab. Our experience there last year was horrible! The dementia ward had her so doped up that she couldn't rehab and got worse. I really think they were trying to make her become long term care. More money in their pockets. A whole room of staff big shots actually said that her regression was from the fall and hospital stay and that is to be expected, they said with an attitude. So, with an attitude, I told them that was a lie. She was better when she left the hospital and when she was not on the dementia ward. Then, they proceeded to lose all of her clothes! It took me two weeks to get everything back and I still think some was lost forever. I had to fight with them all the way. When she arrived there, they hadn't even had her room cleaned from the last person. The bathroom was horrible and being used by some staff for shaving!!! Im happy to say, we took her home early and she improved greatly without their care. Even her so called worsening dementia improved!
