I would recommend this community to all of my family and friends. My husband spent the last three weeks of his life at this community. The kind, compassionate staff who cared for him went above and beyond to provide him with a safe, clean, and caring environment. Managers and nursing staff kept me informed of any concerns. They responded to any of my questions and took the time to explain what their recommendations were to provide better care I have worked in healthcare for over 50 years and I can honestly say this is one of the best that I have experienced.

Excellent experience. My mom was discharged a few weeks ago. I was worried about putting her in someone to begin with because I had been told horror stories about these type of places. The new DON (Josh or Jason I Think) has really changed it since he has been here. Is was really going down hill and now it appears that he brought lots of new staff and things are looking very positive. Also liked dealing with Diane, KC and Brian. I will make sure that anyone I know comes here if they need a place for rehab. Thanks again to you and your team for the hard work.

The worst service. My friend is 92 years old and she was treated like worst than an animal. She was there for only a few days and she lost more than 10 pounds. She was let in the bed with a wet diaper for most than 5 hours. Terrible service.

My friend has been in this facility for over a week he is blind, incontinent sometimes, and hasn’t had a bath in over a week. He tested positive for Covid at the hospital and they transferred him to Carrington of Saint Pete instead of sending back to his regular assisted living facility. He has been wearing the same gown for a week. The food is cold and he has a roommate who has the television on all night long so he hasn’t gotten any sleep in the past week and if he is Covid positive why is he sharing a room with someone else? We were supposed to have a Covid test on Monday and as of Tuesday at 5 PM nothing has been done. No masks for either him or his roommate. Do not take your relatives here it’s not a safe place to be. Horrible care and lack of staff that cares. I am calling AHCA to report them.

My mother was at Carrington Place of St. Pete and my friend stayed there also. She was happy with it. The facility is more into rehab, the caregivers were very good, but they had a big director turnover. When I visited the residents were just sitting in front of the TV not doing anything. They had music and crafts, but they did away with a lot of crafts, and cooking, so they didn't do as much anymore.

This place is absolutely the worst. The nurses are incompetent. My mom would wait from 35 - 43 minutes after using nurses button. In fact they almost let her go into a diabetic coma. Her sugar was 10. They changed her insulin and never checked her sugar level. Thank GOD my sister went a little later than normal and found her lethargic. Her tongue was hanging out of her mouth and she was drilling all over. They had 1 nurse on the floor, per her she has water on the knee and can't get around. You could always find a CNA leaning against the wall on the phone. At one point there was 6 lights on and 2 CNA'S sitting on their phone. The supposed Administrative person was Chris. I went to him on 3 different occasions to discuss my mother's care. "I WILL HAVE THE TEST ORDERED FIRST THING IN THE MORNING". 2 Days later I asked the nurse on duty about the results. She said NO TEST WERE ORDERED. Angela, and Casey nurses are the ONLY 2 individuals that take pride in their work. Angela immediately ordered the test and we had results the next evening. Oh yeah did I mention, it took 4 days before a doctor examined my mother after admission. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST YOUR LOVE ONE IN THIS FACILITY.

Carrington Place in St. Petersburg is for sure a place to stay away from. The food is horrible, they are lazy and will not take them to the dining room to eat or if eating in the room it arrives hours late and is cold. The entire wardrobe of clothes did not return to the room and lost forever, they do not care. The care is pathetic, no changing of the diapers or bedding, no time with the patient, no doctor to see the patient, no showers, and not one staff member cares. Every aid, tech, CNA, nurse, or any staff member says they do not know and passes the buck to another and another and another. This place is horrible - do not sent your loved one here. Cars were broken into so leave no valuables in the car, no reasonable parking whatsoever. The hand rails to either go up the steep steps or the handicap ramp are sticky and gross. The ashtrays in the front or the smoking area are not cleaned. Disgusting place!

The experience at Carrington Place wasn’t great; that’s why we moved my mom. Some of the staff was very good; others were fairly uncaring and made remarks about her condition. They had a private room. They weren’t terrific about keeping it clean, but as far as the room itself goes, it was fine. The food was terrible, and the clean up was terrible. I was happy with the doctor. The doctor showed up multiple times a week, and she had good attention and a podiatrist there.

My daughter is a nurse and she knows quite a few medical people. Carrington Place was suggested to her. The environment is beautiful. It's a very nice facility. The staff is very, very nice, but I think they're overworked. They're too understaffed and need more people to look after the residents. I hate the food, it's awful. I sat for three hours today in my wheelchair waiting to get back into bed and get my diaper changed.
