I have been living in the Savanna Club. It's gorgeous. It's absolutely beautiful. We have three clubhouses, we have a restaurant, and we have a theater. From the day I rode into this place, I said, this is it. So we bought it in 2000, moved in 2004. So from 2004, I have lived here and I've loved every minute of it. I have a very nice house, it's 1400 sq.ft., 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a beautiful Florida room, and I'm right on the water. You have everything here. You have everything from baseball to tennis, to everything else that you could want and have here. We have three pools, we have dancing, we have dance lessons. You can do something eight days a week here or do nothing. We have a beautiful golf course on the premises, we have eighteen hundred homes here, and It's three miles around.

I am in a retirement community -- Savanna Club. I don’t recommend it. It has 2,000 homes, 3 clubs, and a golf course. I have been here a little over 3 years, but my neighbors have never tried to be friendly. They have an organization here, but I called a couple of times and never got any answer, so I just don’t bother with them anymore. It just is not a friendly place as far as I am concerned. I’ve been here 3 years, and the only time the neighbors say “hello” is when you are walking your dog and that’s it. Nobody has ever come knocking on the door. I was approached by the Men’s Club when they put a ramp so I can take my wife to the doctor in a wheelchair, but I’ve never been approached by anybody else at all. I was at the office and explained to them that I couldn’t pay the association fee until I could get full help from the state, and all they said was they will send them over to their attorney and that was all. They didn’t offer any kind of help to me whatsoever. When I moved in here, I thought it was going to be a friendly place. When we went to the wecome center and sat at the table, it was just a waste of time. We didn’t talk very much; my wife tried to talk to some of them, and they just kept walking. It is not a really good atmosphere as far as the welcome center.

I lived at Savana Club for about five years. It had many amenities that kept us busy. They had their own employees that kept the grounds, trees and grass clean.
