We went to Port Saint Lucie Nursing & Restorative Care Center. It was a lovely tour, but they didn't have any space available for my mom. They had a nice lunchroom. The cafeteria and the sitting area were nice. They had a space when I went there, but when I called, the staff told me that I had to have my mom into a hospital first to have her get in there, and then they told me there was no space. My mom called up to see what was going on, and the staff said that she never told me that and that she never said that. I haven't tried their food, but the staff took me down to the cafeteria and it looked nice. The menu looked good. The amenities looked decent for what it is. They had someone who does massages, they had doctors on staff, and they had a gym. They had a beautiful dining area. It looked very clean when I went on the tour.

My mother had been in Port Saint Lucie Nursing last year. It was clean, and they had nice facilities for groups to meet, if you had a family came in. They were pretty attentive to my mother. She was in a basic two beds in a room with one bathroom and two or three chairs. The food was acceptable. They carried on activities for people who wanted to participate or get involved, and they were within the building. They kept people who wanted to be active, active.

The staff that I encountered was rude, and it appeared that they had zero interest in committment to patient care. The marketing professional was extremely rude, and looked like she would rather be any other place on the planet. Another staff was observed mocking another staff member. I would think twice before placing anyone you care about here.

The doctor of my parents recommended Port St. Lucie Nursing and Restorative Care. The staff was very fine, and the rooms were very nice, clean, fresh, bright, and pleasant. I can’t say enough good things about it. My parents said they liked the food. They have complete physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. They have an activities director, and they were doing a lot of things. They had music, arts, and fun activity things. They have a person who gave haircuts and hairstyles for men and women, manicures and church services.

My grandmother is in this facility. Jane LPN beyond rude. The attitude that was presented to my mother and I when visiting was unacceptable. If this represents the type of nursing delivered to the residents then I would not recommend this facility to anyone. Nurses like this should be reported and license revoked. Very disappointed.

My father was an Alzheimer's patient at this facility recently and overall, I feel the experience was relatively good. My father could not speak or walk so he was totally dependent on the staff, including myself and my mother when we would visit several times a week. The facility appeared to be clean and the staff was pleasant. They would have scheduled daily activities for the patients if they chose to participate, and family lunches on special occasions, which I thought was nice. However, there were a few issues that were concerning such as the staff not seeming to care so much about the patient's daily food consumption and some of my father's clothing went missing even though his name was written in all of his clothes. In addition, there were days where my dad would have quite a few bruises on his legs from them moving him in and out of bed. All in all, I feel the facility did a pretty decent job of caring for their patients.
