Last month, since it was hurricane season, we asked about the policy in case of evacuation due to a hurricane. We were told that Starling has a contract with hotels to provide shelter in just such an emergency. Yesterday, Starling informed us of a pending evacuation this morning because of Hurricane Milton. That's when we learned that there is no arrangement with hotels. Rather, residents who could not be picked up by family would be evacuated to another Starling facility where they would sleep on mattresses placed on the floor. We're talking about elderly people, some of whom need help under normal circumstances just to get to the bathroom. Apparently, the contract with hotels existed when the place was called The Palms, and Starling did not continue that contract. No one informed us of the change.

My grandmother will be moving in. It was a very nice facility and it was perfect. It was very clean and very elegant. There were a lot of activities that they had for the residents, which was great. The staff who assisted me was very thoughtful, caring, considerate, and thorough, and she answered all of my questions. They had a movie theater, arts and crafts, a game room, a physical therapy room, a hair salon, and a pool with a treadmill underneath the water. They had common areas, a dining area, and a private dining area where if you had a small group of people, you could have a nice little private dining experience. They had sort of an ice cream parlor section in the dining room, which was nice.

When we visited, they only have the 1-bedroom available. The rooms looked very nice. They gave us cheesecake to take home, and it was delicious. They had a library, an ice cream parlor, a gym, a physical therapy area, a movie theater, and a quest game room.

I saw both assisted living and memory care at The Palms at Ponte Vedra, and I liked it. Everything was in very good shape, neat, clean, attractive, and bright. The staff was all friendly and helpful. They have a library, TV lounge, happy hour, and mini-rooms.

I was very impressed. It was a wonderful facility and looks like the kind of place that I would want my dad in. My dad would have adapted well there. They have a separate and secured memory care unit and I liked their programs. The rooms were very adequate and good. They had a physical therapy room, a small pool for exercise purposes, a theater, a very nice dining room, and a very nice menu. They also had a separate snack room. I would consider it a 5-star facility. The food appeared to be well-prepared with a variety of choices. They had organized outings in the assisted living.

It looked like a wonderful place to be in. The representative was pleasant and helpful. She talked straight, and she was honest. The place and its location were beautiful. It looked like it was very new and shiny. There were a lot of residents up and about, and they seemed to be content and enjoying themselves at lunch time. The food smelled wonderful. Everything about the place impressed me, and I would definitely consider it for my mother.

It is very elegant, lovely, small, and beautifully decorated. It's just a little jewel of a place, and it's for people who aren't very active anymore. They have parties and an ice cream bar. The staff who toured us around was excellent.

The assisted living that I liked was here. It’s new, lovely facility with a beautiful dining room and very impressive food service. The staff was extremely helpful and caring. The rooms were lovely and not as big as the rooms I saw in another facility, but they were very nice and very attractive. This was where I was going to put my mother for assisted living. It was much smaller, so there was a lot more individual attention.

It is very beautiful, brand new, and pretty well designed. My mom and dad live there. The staff is very professional with many years of experience in assisted living and senior care. The supervisor is wonderful and has been in the business for many years. The rooms are beautiful. The dining area and the food are top notch. They have lots of activities like Wii bowling, bingo, watching the morning news, poker, and different things like that.
