Century Village-Pembroke Pines is an OK place to live. There are a lot of activities and things to do here. People are somewhat friendly. They have clubs (like a billiards club), a lot of swimming activities, shuffleboard games, ping pong, and trips outside. They go out for dinner or watch plays/musicals.

Century Village - Pembroke Pines is a 55+ community, and they have a lot of activities. I am moving on the 10th of July. We were looking for independent living, and I find it very good. We're going to have a new apartment in a new part that they built. I'm going to have two rooms and 1-1/2 baths, and it's very comfortable. They have transportation to everywhere around Pembroke, and they have nursing 24-hour on-call.

I visited Century Village, which I really loved. It was beautiful. They had a beautiful hall, and I fell in love with that. If I had to leave New York again, I would go there for the simple fact that they had a lot of activities. It had a swimming pool and a laundry. You could rent or you could buy. You also had the community bus that would take you for free outside the community and to other places, and it was really nice. They had like an open house when I went there -- which was very nice -- and I went and tasted the food; it was really good. They had a great cook. She volunteered for them, and the food for people who had diabetes or other kinds that you couldn't eat, it was very good. I really enjoyed it, and I had recommended it to everybody when I came back to New York. Everybody was also nice.

The village itself is a great place. They have many things to do such a recreation. They have pools and tennis courts. Not only that they have a massive club house that holds a lot of organized groups and events. They have buses that will bring residents back and forth and take them shopping. However, they do not like to call themselves assisted living and do not like to be labeled as such. There are a numerous amount of residents that have nurses and care givers that are come through the village on a daily basis. they have on call nurses.

The guide for the tour was very helpful and informative. The amenities were good but she wasnt really interested in them. She wouldve rathered stay at home instead of going on the tennis curt or going to take a swim. The buildings and apartments were a good amount of space and were roomy. It was something that she liked and we were highly considering it. The area and location is ideal and they have a trolly to take the residents to publix that is around the corner and the mall isnt too far from that either.

My aunt currently resides at Century Village in the City of Pembroke Pines, Florida. Century Village is an independent living community equipped with club house, tennis courts and pool. My aunt, who is still very active at the age of 75, enjoys the freedom of attending the multiple events provided for the residents at the club house. I am impressed with the cleanliness of the property each time I visit. I specifically like the fact that the community is a gated community with 24/7 security. Due to the fact that my aunt enjoys her freedom and does not want to be beholden to anyone, Century Village is the perfect place for her because she has the freedom to constantly be out and about without ever leaving the property grounds, if she so desire, because there's always a lot of activities going on. Although the community is a Senior Citizen community, there is the added bonus that a family member can come and stay for extended stay if needed to care for love ones, as will happen with my aunt shortly due to the beginning of Alzheimer's disease.
