Mom moved to Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast during the height of COVID so I wasn't allowed to be in to see her for the first few months. It was very, very difficult. I was not pleased with a lot of things there. It was too big, there were a lot of residents, and they were extremely understaffed. They promised some things that they didn't deliver on. It just was not a good experience. It was a beautiful facility. They brought her to breakfast, lunch, and dinner because she had never found her way, but they never communicated with me at all. Again, I understand the circumstances that were going along with it with COVID, but I had begged them to communicate with me, and they still did not. They had a church and beautiful gardens, but in the first year, they hardly had any activities because everybody was isolated. I feel that was a huge part of my mother's decline. When I actually questioned the staff about whether she should be in memory care or not, they told me that they didn't think she should be in memory care. After a while, I finally realized that I didn't feel like they had a full understanding of my mother. They allowed dogs and that was one of the promises that they had made, that once COVID was over with, they would get a professional dog walker there. We were charged extra to have this service. It ended up becoming a burden and they weren't exercising the dog the way the dog should be to the point where my she gave her up, which was both surprising to me and very sad because her life was that dog.

Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast was absolutely beautiful. It was kept very clean. The only reason why we went and chose the other facility is that Tuscan Gardens was out of our price range. The rooms there were beautiful with a very nice layout. The upkeep was excellent. And a few several options to choose from too, which was nice. We did not try the meal there, but they did send us home with free cheesecake. They send everybody who's come to visit with free cheesecake, and it was delicious. So if that's any indication of their food there, it was amazing. Their menu was excellent and if there was anything special, you could order it, which was nice. They have nights where they'll have a cooking demonstration for the residents to watch, which I thought was nice. They have somebody that comes in and does music occasionally on the piano. They also had crafts for the people that were there. They were very accommodating.

If I could give the Memory Care facility less than 1 star , I would. This place is filthy. You immediately smell urine as soon as you walk into the vestibule, before entering the actual Memory Care area. Things of my mothers constantly went missing. And over the last 3 months my mother was not being bathed properly and smelled very badly. I even complained as high up as The VP of operations. The management sees nothing wrong with the state of the facility and nothing is going to change here. So, after 8 months of complaints and hoping they would do the right things to fix their issues, I moved my mom. Note- if you have complaints about a facility in Fl, also send information AS IT IS HAPPENING to ACHA . ACHA did an inspection of the facility and found it to be “in limits” of their guidelines. It is amazing to me what is within their guidelines. Wow!

We visited Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast. It was all very nice and very well updated, but it was way over budget. It was like $4000 for what you got. But the facilities were very nice, but I didn't think that you got what you paid for there. The base price for the rent was way over budget and then it would be a plus level of care pricing, too. It was just going to be so far out of our budget that it was just not doable. The guy that gave us the tour was courteous and professional, but I don't think he was as knowledgeable as some of the other ones. They had amazing amenities. I think they put a lot into bells and whistles as far as chandeliers and crown molding and some of these things that made it look really pretty, but just because it looks good doesn't necessarily mean you're getting a better quality for your money. It was beautiful and very well maintained. There was a higher quality of finishes there than what it was for any of the other ones.

I visited Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast. They have a new building that's separate from the assisted living and there were only three people in it the day I looked. They have to go over to the main building for all the activities and stuff. It has the memory care as well. They have everything there including a gym and a fitness center with machines. It has the feel of an Italian. They have a big area where every Friday night they make pizzas in the oven that they have right there. You sit out there to see them cooking and all. It's a gathering place on Friday night for people. I only really met the gal that took us around, and then just waved to people that we went by. It's topnotch. It's expensive, but it's brand new, and large. The outdoor was very nice. They have a garden, a little putting green, and an area for sitting out there.

Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast was extremely nice. They seemed to be very caring staff members. The food was very good. We had lunch there once. They take people to their doctor's appointments, shopping, and outings. They have activity rooms. It was a beautiful place. If I could afford to be there, I'd be there too. The staff is very attentive, very helpful, full of information, and caring. The facility was beautiful. They have a patio and gazebo. It's kind of almost enclosed. It has a beautiful wooded area behind there and a walking path.

We like the Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast the best. Kimberly, who took us around, was very nice and professional. We like the concept of the Tuscan Italian theme, and my in-law happens to be 100 percent Italian. We loved the choice of room layouts, configurations, and just the overall facility, as well as the outdoor facilities. They have a bocce court, as well as a dog park. It's just a very nice place with very nice rooms. It's very clean and has a nice menu of food. Overall, we like the feel of it.

My father will be moving into Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast. It's a newer facility, and it has every amenity that anyone with his limitations and expectations can meet. They've got a very flexible dining plan, which most places don't have. They can eat from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., not just that one hour window, or if they miss it, they're out for the day kind of thing. They have very spacious and very well planned out rooms. Probably one of the bigger things compared to other facilities I visited is that they're very, very transparent with their pricing, and the modeling, and how everything works. They've got the salon/barbershop, followed by the movie theater, followed by the chapel, followed by the mail room, followed by the fitness center, followed by the physical therapy center that they have there as well. They've got a putting green and bocce ball on the outside with music. They have regular outside entertainment that comes in for the folks. Their activities director also takes them at least weekly on a tour some place in their bus, whether it is to the beach or to a museum or something like that. They're very, very engaged with the residents. The facility is gorgeous.
