Kathy's mother, Shari, has been with Sabal Palms for about 18 months or more. She was there through the entire Covid ordeal and a number of months before Covid. She has loved it and we have been so happy with everyone. Brett is a great director and kudo's out to everyone on staff. Before Covid, we enjoyed many "happy hours" where we would go and be with her mother for music, snacks and even glasses of wine! The kitchen and dining area are beautiful and the food is great. It is kind of like someone living on a cruise ship, without the water. lol. The staff has always been very helpful when we have needed something extra and Rick the maintenance man goes out of his way to be a blessing also. We simply cannot say enough as to how pleased we have been with Sabal Palms. Joel and Kathy Davisson, Palm Coast, Florida

Sabal Palms Assisted Living & Memory Care is a very well laid out facility. The facility is really first class. We got a tour of the place. We really like the spaciousness of the rooms and the appointments. We saw a well-appointed model room. The bathrooms are large, clean, new, and fresh. They had a big living room and a TV room. They had a dining hall breakfast area. It reminded me of Marriott. It's really well done. I was impressed. The staff asked a lot of questions about my brother-in-law. My sister was there, and she was the one answering them. That is where we discovered that his weight is a problem. They didn't have a Hoyer lift and several other things; it made us doubt as to whether assisted living would be a viable option for him. I learned a lot just from the dialog with the lady that gave the tour.

We toured Sabal Palms Assisted Living & Memory Care. It was right up there with the other places that were Ritz-Carlton type; it was beautiful. They had chandeliers in the entrance to the lobby. Their dining room looked like you were walking into an Outback Steakhouse. They had individual lighting at each table hanging from the ceiling. It was probably the nicest we've seen. They looked like they had plentiful staff. The lady who took us around was very knowledgeable. Everybody that we walked past either said hello, waved, or did something to acknowledge us. I heard them talking to their patients, and they were very upbeat. They were very nice, all of them. It's only a couple of years old, and it's in a nice area of town. The grounds were beautiful, very well landscaped, and the rooms were nice. They had a courtyard, a salon, a gathering area for people to play cards, and another area where you and your family could have a special occasion, like a birthday party.

My visit at Sabal Palms Assisted Living & Memory Care was a very good experience. The staff who showed me around was very good, and she was wonderful. The place looked nice. I would have loved to have brought Mom there. The problem was, that my mom needs an attached seat in her shower, one that was bolted into the wall. They did not have that and could not provide one. That was the only factor that turned us away. The facility seemed very nice, and the staff was interacting with the residents, which I liked. It had a lovely movie theater and it seemed to me that most of the residents were out and about rather than just sitting in their room with the door shut with no interaction. I was impressed with that because I think at that age you kind of need some interaction or you're going to turn into a zombie. Everything I saw, I was very pleased with. The staff were all great. They were friendly, perky, and energetic; I was very impressed with them. The only thing I noticed was that there was not enough parking, because when I got there, I had trouble finding a place to park, it was full. It needs help in the parking department.

My aunt likes Sabal Palms. It was really nice. It looked new and fresh. People were friendly and the staff who helped us with the tour was very helpful. She showed us around, we saw some group doing activities, but my aunt doesn't seem to be interested in any activities. The room was very nice, too.

My tour at Sabal Palms was wonderful. It was very nice. I was impressed because there was a lot of help there, and a lot of interactions between the staff and the people living there. It was just a really nice place. It was very calming-looking and there were activities for everyone. It was really close to home. The staff who gave us the tour did great. I think it was the director that walked us around. She was knowledgeable, she knew all the patients, and said hi to all of them. It was nice to see that she knew all the residents. The rooms were very nice and pretty spacious for two people.

The rooms at Sabal Palms were excellent. They had an exercise class every morning, take them out to different environments and the bank, and had painting and movies. Everybody was very friendly, helpful, and caring. The residents were very happy and love being there.

Sabal Palms didn't have any odor problems. My mom enjoyed her stay in this place tremendously. She had a nice big bedroom, then she had a living room and dining area in her apartment. Everybody there was friendly, but she asked for help with getting in the shower and no one showed up, so she went ahead and did it on her own. She also enjoyed the food and the people, they played bingo, and they had a theater rooms where she watched movies. I was kind of disappointed with the handicapped area of her room, but at least her shower had grab bars that she could hold onto. The community was brand new, and the elevators were very nice. It had a large area for residents to walk, but the staff would also push them in their wheelchairs if they really had trouble walking. They had a snack bar downstairs, but it mainly had coffee and cookies.
