My brother has just moved into Sancerre at Palm Coast. He is in their memory care unit. I believe it's the best unit I've seen so far. There is a lot of caring going on, and there are enough staff so that each of the residents doesn't feel left out. They also make an effort to check, talk, and engage each of the residents. The staff has been very patient and caring with my brother, who can be a little difficult. He has had no problems and that in itself is a good thing. The staff is just the best. They made excellent efforts in everything for my brother. Coming in wasn't the easiest thing for him because he just wasn't sure what was happening but they spent time with him, talked to him, and showed him around. They introduced him to all the residents who were there and even made a special dessert for him so that he would feel like it was specially made just for him. The appearance of the facility is excellent, too. The time I was there moving my brother in, they engaged everybody in something. The residents would watch videos, have chocolate and snacks, or just sing songs. If they didn't want to do that, an individual caregiver would walk over and engage them in something else so they didn't feel left out.

I toured the Sancerre at Palm Coast's assisted living. The best thing about this community was that it's brand new and the facility was topnotch. It's also just around the corner from a Catholic Church and my mother likes to go to mass every day. She may even be able to walk to the church. The staff who assisted me during the tour was amazing. I enjoyed her. She was very thorough, asked a lot of questions, and spent a lot of time figuring out what would be best for my mother. The structure is brand new so everything was pristine. The rooms were just smaller than the other places I have visited, but it's probably because those were independent living while this is assisted living. The layout was very good, though, and they had one big closet so that my mom would be able to store more things.

I visited Sancerre at Palm Coast. The staff that took me around explained things. They were very thorough. They were working very hard in order to give me as much information as I needed to make a decision. They were really wonderful. It was bright, cheerful, and clean. The eating area was like a restaurant. You could order from the few items that they had or you could order from a list. In other words, if you weren't that hungry, you could get soup or a sandwich, that kind of thing. They were good. They even brought in the nursing staff to explain some of the things that I would need to know.

The tour experience I had at Sancerre at Palm Coast was very nice. The person we were supposed to meet with wasn't available when we arrived there. So someone else did the tour, and he was pretty good. The place wasn't homey. It was like a high-end hotel, but it was very nice. The rooms were large and well-kept. They didn't have the greatest views though, because that's right there on Cypress Point. The whole place was brand new. The dining area was beautiful. It just wouldn't be what my father would want. It's too fancy. The person who did the tour was good, but I think he knew that he had such a good product that he didn't have to try very hard.

Mom moved to Sancerre at Palm Coast. It's new, clean, and bright. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is outstanding. They have an anytime dining schedule and they have great options. Everything is beautiful. There are a lot of activities. They got cards, bingo, arts and crafts, and gardening. There's a chapel and a lot of different things like field trips where they go on excursions.

What we liked was the cleanliness, the newness of the community, and all the things that they had to offer. They have a really neat sky bar. They have a courtyard area where they have people come and play music. They have barbecues for special holidays like the 4th of July. We were impressed with it. They had a lot of different areas inside where you can play games, play pool, or checkers. They have something different on each level, which is nice. They showed us some of the crafts there, and then they also had activities planned for the residents.

My mother-in-law is going to this community. We like that the facility itself is very clean and very new. The employees were very concerned, very knowledgeable, and very helpful with any questions we had. Everything is right there. They had the gym, the beauty salon, the doctors, and the nurses. The place itself is brand new. It's only like six to eight months old, so everything is in pristine condition and the bedroom size is roomy.
