My husband and I lived at Steeplechase Gracious Retirement Living for a month. It was nice, but we could buy a cheaper house for its price. The staff members were very nice and very helpful. The meals were good. They offered a lot of activities like bingo, cards, and movies. They had a swimming pool, and you could get your hair done there.

We toured Steeplechase Gracious Retirement Living. We were very impressed. It was clean. It was decorated nicely. The people were very friendly. The clients there were very helpful to us also. In fact, we had lunch there, and I must say the food wasn't that good, but that would be one thing I wasn't too happy about. They were working on puzzles. We were there right at lunchtime, so there wasn't all that much, but activity was going on there. But they had a very nice place for if we wanted to bring family there for lunch or dinner. They had a formal place and an informal place. They have all kinds of activities. They play bingo and cards, and they go somewhere every week, one night out for dinner if you want to. They have a bus that takes you out. They go thrift store shopping because a lot of the people like thrift stores, so they could do that. I don't know how often, but they're very active.

I went to look at Steeplechase Gracious Retirement Living. The food was good. The place was nice. The price was exorbitant. We saw a one-bedroom apartment. It had a kitchenette without a stove. The staff was good. There wasn't a whole lot of stuff going on. They took us to different areas of the complex, and it was all very nice.

We visited SteepleChase Gracious Retirement. We like it very much, but the rooms are too small for us. I thought the staff was very nice. Activities were about the same as the others we toured. We tried the food, and it was good. The dining area was sufficient. There was a library, and there was a pool.

My husband and I brought my 95 year old mother from Ohio to Florida. She wanted to continue to live in independent living. This is such a great place. Lauren was so nice and helpful in showing us around and explaining what they had to offer that my mother, myself and my husband agreed on the spot. Steeplechase was where she would move because she felt safe and loved the surroundings. Over the last year, my mother has made wonderful friends, attended different events at Steeplechase and traveled to different venues, including the Hard Rock. The dining experience that they offer…breakfast, lunch and dinner is top notch. We also loved Winnie, who cleans my mother’s apartment once a week. My husband and I love this place so much that we will consider moving here when we get ready.

I went to the Steeplechase Gracious Retirement Living. It was just very clean, and everybody was very nice and it looked new. It had a great dining room area, and a lot of things to do for the seniors. It was a great place. The staff member was wonderful, she was very caring, she talked to my mom, she showed her all the fun stuff that they do, and we checked out a couple of different models. She was very, very nice. She made my mom feel -- because my mom really doesn't want to go -- so she was very good with her. I saw the menus, and I thought they were great. They have a pool and patio.

I toured Steeplechase Retirement Residence. It was just very nice. We were greeted by very nice, friendly, informative people. We ate in the dining area and each table is served by a waiter or waitress and they have at least two to three things for you to choose from to eat, as well as salads. They have ice cream if you want one to sneak down at night, and they have popcorn. So that's kind of good. I walked in there and I felt it was very homey. People were gathered in the main eating area, and it was full. They have a pool, a library, and a place where you could get internet on your computer. The food was a little too good. The layout was very good. They had the middle where there was like a rotunda, and then off to it they had the large eating area with the tables and chairs. From there you could go up on the elevators or you could use the stairs if you're able. You could go out to the pool, too. Everything came off of that center area, which you can reach easily from each apartment. They have a laundry area with washers and dryers on every floor. They also have a place for your trash. They take people to doctors and to shop.

Steeplechase Retirement Residence was a lovely place. The person who gave the tour was very, very nice. I brought a friend with me because I wanted her to hear the same things I was hearing and help me make a decision. It was a very, very nice environment. The residents that I was able to meet seemed very satisfied with where they were and they were very friendly. They also have games and things like that. It was nice. They're not doing anything in large groups right now. I know they sometimes take bus trips or day trips to different places. There's a lot of stuff to do in Florida and the weather is almost always pleasant. They are happy because they were smiling and no one asked them to talk to us; I would say hello and they would talk back. Everyone seemed very comfortable where they were. The staff certainly was very pleasant, and the environment was nice, too. That was the one I would have chosen because I liked everything about it except the distance from my family. They have very knowledgeable people doing those tours, very pleasant, and eager to answer any questions. The facility was really lovely, well kept, and clean. Everything was very nice.

I'm moving into Steeplechase Gracious Retirement Living. I chose it for several things. Number one, it's the closest to my temple, which was at the top of my requirement list, it offered help in packing, moving, and unpacking, which was a major help, and it had a very nice apartment for me, at a reasonable price. I could bring my sewing machines too, and they were gonna help me reformat the closet so things would fit, things like that. They had been really helping me, and they said their master chef would help me with the foods that are in my diet. The staff I met was excellent, and the facility was very, very nice.

We have decided on Steeplechase Retirement Residence. It's independent living, and we liked what they offered. We chose it mainly for the price, we knew some people who live there, and they really suggested we do that. We visited it in person. We haven't lived there yet, so I can't say anything about it. We are still waiting for the movers to show up. The tour was very good and very informative. They explained everything, gave me a lot of breaks, and they are moving us for free. The staff members were very helpful and outgoing, and they answered all our questions. We never tried the food, but the manager is a chef himself, so he monitors it, and everybody raves about the food. I would recommend this place because you are completely independent. They have a swimming pool and all kind of activities during the day. My wife will be very busy, as she wanted to be, and you can come and go as you wish.

I visited Steeplechase Retirement Residence, and it looked almost the same as its sister community that I went to. I saw the dining area and the activity rooms. They have an outside atrium that goes to their swimming pool with a birdcage. They had all sorts of amenities, arts and crafts, and buses that take people to church and shopping. They also had different floor plans from a studio to a 2-bedroom, which was the largest. I saw a 1-bedroom with a balcony and that would probably be something I would get if it's just me. They have onsite management that lives there. They help serve the meals, and they talk to people. It's a nice place. They also had a beauty shop, activity room and pool tables.

I'm impressed with the cleanliness and the things that were available at the Steeplechase Retirement Residence. It's a sweet deal if you can afford it. The staff is great and I was impressed. The charge was about $3,000 and the room was only about 550 square feet. The facility is terrific, nice, good looking. I would recommend it if a person could afford it.

Steeplechase Retirement Residence is the oldest of the three communities I visited. I could see some wear there. It is well kept and it has the same amenities, but they didn't have a kitchen in their units. They had a room where a large TV was on the wall and you could play cards and pool, plus a swimming pool and outdoor games. I was able to talk to two or three of the residents, and they didn't have anything negative to say.

Steeplechase was a nice place, but it needed a shot in the arm. The price was very good, they didn't have any entry fees, and the food was decent. They had a pool and the normal game things. A lot of people age in place in this location. They do all your laundry and offer 3 meals a day.

I visited Steeplechase as well as several others in the area. The staff is very friendly, the manager took me on a tour and she was very accommodating - she offered me coffee or a cold beverage as we sat and talk about what my parents interest and concerns were. She answer everyone of my questions and this will be the place for my parents. I was invited back for lunch and was offered a complimentary trial stay for my parents when they come down in October. I found that the staff knew everyone of the residents by name which was something I did not see at the other buildings..

Steeplechase was very nice, but my only issue was that it was almost like walking into a hospital. Everybody seemed to have something wrong with them. They were very elderly people. My husband and I are very young at heart, and we still like to do a lot of things, and although they have a lot of entertainment and amenities there, the actual people were very elderly, very old, and very slow, so it wasn't really for us. The facility itself was very, very nice and laid out very nicely. The apartment was nice but there wasn't a view, and we like a view.

My sister is living in Steeplechase Retirement Residence. It's a really nice place. She likes the staff and has a living room, kitchen, and bedroom. My sister participates in any activity they do.

SteepleChase is an older place, and I know people who lived there. They had ice cream available 24 hours a day and movies. My friends loved it there.

We looked at Steeplechase. Everything was fine. It was great. Everybody seemed very nice. We met some residents. We had lunch. The food was good. It was a great place. They had an outdoor pool where they do outdoor aerobics. Gosh! They had everything! They had a van that would take you wherever you wanted to go.

The people at Steeplechase were nice. They answered any questions we had and gave us a tour. As far as, I know it seems the places we visited have the same as far as security. I believe they lock the door at nine at night, and the residents have their own entrance path to get in or out after that time. Everyone has their own apartment and you'd only share it if you are married. They didn't have washers and dryers in their units. There is a laundry mat type of room where everyone can go to do their own laundry, but you didn't have your own machine in your apartment. It will be an elderly person hauling their laundry down the hallway. At any rate, it will be hard for my mom to carry her laundry out of her apartment to do it. We did not taste any of the food, and I believe they have the same idea as far as there are certain windows of time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The staff was great at Steeplechase Retirement. It was independent living, so you had your own apartment and everybody ate together and they had activity. All of the ones that I have been are like that and the dining room was beautiful. Although I do not know anyone that lives there, it would be one I would chose if I were ready to make a choice.

I'd say the rooms were fine at Steeplechase. The staff is very good. They could have a little more help, especially at dinner time. They kind of dress it up, like they tell you you're going to get eggs benedict, but do not get eggs benedict, more like a substitute for eggs benedict. They had the usual activities, like bingo and stuff like that. They were awfully good to me when I had a medical problem, and to my husband because he was upset when I ended up in an ambulance. They were very nice; they sent me flowers.

Steeplechase was convenient to where l live and it was reasonable compared to some of the others. They had several different floor plans, both 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom. It's just that they don't have enough people working there to get done what needs to be done. The food is fair. They have bingo, Wii bowling, and three or four different exercise programs. They have a fitness facility, a fitness room and a swimming pool. The bus takes them shopping and takes them to the doctor's appointment. I like the location and the way it is decorated. The facility itself is very nice. Mom is doing well.

I had a very nice tour at Steeplechase, and if my mother were to come down to me, I definitely would recommend this facility. It’s a new facility and very well kept. The staff were very nice.

A lot of the people out here have talked about Steeplechase opening up. It has easy access to things and the environment is homey. The rooms are real nice and they can move your furniture for you at no cost. The food was all right.

On the whole, I wasn't really impressed with Steeplechase at all. The food was good though. The staff and their PR were average. They did follow up on us. The dining room was fine and nice. It was just older than the other facility and that's the only difference. However, I just didn't like them.

Steeplechase is nice. We visited there and we had lunch. I wasn't totally impressed. I just have a big problem with a place where I need to get dressed and go down to a dining room in order to eat. I want to eat in my own kitchen table. I do have a back problem, and so I can't walk a lot and I use a cane off and on. But I'm still very active.

They had an advertisement and we went to look at it and that's how we heard about Steeplechase. We checked out the place and see how it was like. The staff were fine. It was brand new. It was very clean and pleasant and very nice looking. The only thing I did not like is it was three-stories high and there was only one elevator in the whole building and I didn't like that. They have games. They have movies. They have fitness center. The people that serve the meals were not trained. They were just people that came in to get a job there and they didn't have a lot of experience in doing some of the works there, but they were very nice people. We looked at a two-bedroom and two-bath apartment. The food is fine, but it wasn't as good as it was in the beginning.
