The staff at Treemont on the Park was very good. They're really good to the people there, but the facility itself was fairly rundown. They have single rooms, but shared baths, and that wouldn't work for my mom. The place needed to be updated, and it was kind of messy. When I got there, all the residents were in the courtyard, which was very nice, but I didn't see many places where they could have indoor activities. They have doctors come in for the residents.

Place is horrible. The review i read made me sick. I went there. Looks like a flophouse. I would not leave my pet there. My friend is there. I cried half way home. Not even a real bed. Crammed in corner of dumpy room .Had gross bathroom. Courtyard is just a cage. Dirty with people roaming around. Go see it yourself

During my quest of placement for a family member I visited many assisted living facilities and this one had many unforgettable good qualities other didn't have. The staff was pleasant from the second I walked into the gate. I had the chance of sitting in the court yard out of way and observe the caregiver/resident interaction. Every resident was address with a hello or a gentle touch as they walked by to remind them the staff was there if they needed anything. You can tell the residents appreciate the staff by the smile they have or the glow in their eye as they interact. I did not see one person sitting in a corner alone or unattended to. I was given very wise advice from a dear friend who told me to focus on the care not the chair. This basically means to not look at how the building shines or the fancy furniture, look for the amount of care the person is given. The nicer the placed seemed the more scares the staff seemed to be. People were left alone and were not stimulated. Some staff would back and ignore the residents. This is NOT the case with Tremont on the Park. I now visit my family member twice a week and have become part of the Treemont family. I loved that I could decorate her room so she felt right at home. She got to bring her own TV, favorite blanket, and all of her puzzles. Now she spends her days on the courtyard with her new friends interacting in activities and completing puzzles. Thank you, Treemont on the Park for providing my family member with dignity and quality of life. A final thank you for giving me peace of mind.
