I had a very comfortable single bed suite during my 22 days stay. There is a constant staff service shortage therefore it was extremely uncomfortable when diapers needed to be changed. The first few days/nights it took 90 minutes to get assistance. The food is overcooked and dry and seldom worm. I called my Social Worker who made things work for me in a big way, except the food. With the positive changes, the excellent physiotherapy sessions, my effective Social Worker and the loving care of the staff, I do recommend Villa Maria.

My father is at Villa Maria Nursing Center. A lot of the people there seemed to really genuinely care, but it's not a super comfortable place. My dad's TV stops working sometimes, and there's no one on the weekends to fix it. The meals are not that great. The servings are small and kind of weird. The caring is good. They do physical therapy more than any of the other places that he's been in.

Catholic Home Health Services is very nice. The staff is pretty good. My mom complains about the food because she's used to home cooking and once in a while, their food there is cold. They've got numerous activities, and my mom plays Bingo and gets her hair done. My mom's room is nice and clean.

Villa Maria was where I went for physical therapy after my back surgery in May 2015. I worked in Long Term Care for 23 years prior to my early retirement in 2005 and so I was well aware of Villa Maria's excellent reputation for rehab and that's why I specifically made this choice. The care I received was very good. Hospital staff was attentive to my needs most of the time and I noticed the care wasn't as good on weekends when they were generally understaffed. This is an ongoing problem in many facilities. My observation is that patients do suffer during those understaffed periods-- and I was one of them. Waiting for assistance to the rest room is a difficult wait when a nursing assistant is overloaded with patients. It's horribly frustrating and degrading. No human being should be left to relieve herself in bed and then wait to be changed. It's counter productive because when assistance does appear, the work-load is doubled because it is necessary to completely change the bedding and the patient, slowing down the services and creating a back-up. Some things are much more important than the bottom line. Respecting the patient's dignity should always be #1.. The food was better than I had anticipated. The physical therapy was very good.

My mother stayed at Villa Maria for just a few months. They treated my mother well. They tried the best they could even though they were probably understaffed. They did a good job.

We looked for a place for my grandmother and we went to Villa Maria Nursing Center. It was very presentable. The staff were all courteous and friendly. They gave us a walk through of the facility. What the residents did everyday and the daily schedules. The rooms were average size; it was not small or cramped up. I talked to a resident and he said he was very happy there. Unfortunately, the facility was full.

They provide great individualized service to their residents. They treat them with respect and all the members of the community I've spoken with feel that they are treated with dignity and respect. Overall, while most nursing homes and retirement commmunities typically have a negative connotation to them, this particular one seems to have a lot of support and positive experiences to speak of. I would definitely recommend this place to someone in my family and other friends seeking to be taken care of and provided for. I think the ameinities are wonderful for all the residents seeking to remain active and keep themselves occupied. The staff is courteous and respectful and wonderful. I would hardly change a single thing about the place at all.

My mother was at this facility for 2 weeks for physical therapy after a 5 day hospital stay. The facility was neat and clean and the staff was pleasant. The therapist really work great with the patients and treat them gently and with care as most of the patients are elderly. I visted this facility daily for 2 weeks at different times of the day while my mother was a patient there, and always found the facility clean and the staff helpful. I would gladly take my mother to that facility again in the future if need be. i'd definitely recommend them to family and friends.
