My husband stayed at Middleburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. It was OK, and I can't say anything bad about it. It's a clean place and there's no odors. They provide good care and have good food. They have a food serving area right in the middle of the facility. You could smell the food all over. The kitchen was there, too. They also had a nice activity room. I think that was a new facility, too, and everything was in good shape and very modern. The staff was fine. He was there for physical therapy, but he was getting sick from high calcium in his body, so his rehab didn't have any effect on him while he was there. He just couldn't do it because he was too weak and too sick. When they found out the level of his calcium, they immediately took him to the ER.

Signature HealthCARE of Middleburg is a good place. Every room here is a private room, so you don't share a room with anybody else. There is a hall set aside for bariatrics. Half of the facility is for people coming in from surgeries or injuries and are trying to get back on their feet, while the other half of the facility is a residence facility, for residents that are here permanently. They have therapy rooms here (but they can work with the residents in their room if they can't come down), excellent food (they accommodate the diets that are recommended for them by the doctor), and good nursing care (the CNAs are excellent and they're usually right here right away when you call them). They provide church services here, too. They do your laundry and return it. They have a lot of activities here. They have board games, regular games (such as bingo), music, and making jewelry or outfits that you want to make. They provide everything for you that you could want or need.

My husband is in a nursing home, Signature Healthcare of Middleburg. It's a brand-new one. It opened about seven months ago. He was discharged from the hospital. He could really barely walk and that's part of the problem. He falls down a lot. Rehab is helping. However, the problem is, they have no visitation because of COVID. I can go outside his window and wave to him, which really stinks. The care is adequate. The people are nice. They're not very communicative, but they're getting better because I have been asking a lot of questions and trying to get more answers. The food is average. It's nothing great. It is adequate. It's a brand-new facility. It's beautiful and clean. Right now, Medicare is paying for what he needs, but when it switches over, he goes to strictly private pay.
