My name is Adolfo and I have a family member at this facility. I was so impressed with the faciñity and the smiles greeting me from every single employee the moment I entered the building. I was in need of some information on the care and activities in the facility and was given exceptional clarification and service by the administrator, Joyce. She sat with me and explained everything that I asked in detail. She was very patient and understanding with all the questions that I had. I am completely at ease, knowing that my family member is in a great place with a caring staff. Thank you, for giving me peace of mind. Sincerely.

Garbage place. Smells moldy and like pee. Everything is “under construction”. The food is terrible. The lead nurse is condescending. They are allergic to answering the phone.

Horrible place with horrendous people. They don’t care about the old people. My family member was with dirty diapers all day. Neglected and abandoned. Not once did they provide what was promised.

My room is clean, therapy is good- my favorite part about being here is therapy. My therapists charity and cosette are friendly and motivate me to exercise and get stronger.

This place is nothing like before. We found my mom with the diaper and the clothes so wet twice in the same day. My sister had to change her. That means nobody was checking on her. Also, she was on bed all the time. We know that's not good for an elder person. The food is not good, meat so dry. You can't communicate with the patient by phone at any time cause there's nobody to transfer the calls. We had our mom in there before and it was an awesome place but I don't know what is wrong now. I think AHCA has to visit this place.

9/6/2022 I selected this supposed rehabilitation center after having surgery at Baptist Hospital in Miami. It was among 20 or so rehab centers listed by the hospital. I would never recommend it to anyone. I tried to do research before going there and saw a picture of the nice clean marble floors in the reception area and the front lobby. The actual rooms were dated from the 1960s with each room having an air conditioner in the wall as you would see in a 1960s motel. The button to call the nurse was a joke. The hospital bed actually squeaked as it was raised and lowered to any position. It is staffed by Spanish-speaking personnel with maybe one person who can speak English. The bathrooms have no showers or tubs. You are expected to use communal showers somewhere down the hall. I left after one night at this facility hope you do not go through the same experience.

Coral Reef Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was recommended by one of the social workers at the hospital. I like the attention they give to the residents, and they're very caring and very loving. They seem to care for their residents. They serve my mom smashed food, and she eats well. They supply her all the meals and snacks along the way. They have everything they need there. They have the therapy section, a courtyard, several dining rooms, and all the equipment. It is almost two blocks away from the hospital and less than a half away from a main road, where there's all kinds of restaurants and stuff.

My father was brought to this facility from the hospital to wait for a negative COVID test. This facility does not answer the phone for family members to be able to talk to a nurse. They give you specific times when one can talk but no one’s answers. I have tried at the times that they have suggested and the phone rings. I have let the phone ring in increments of 20 minutes and no one picks up. If you can avoid this place, please do so.

This place is horrible. They never answer their phone, if you are lucky enough to have someone answer, they will put you on hold forever. I have been on hold for about 50 minutes without someone picking up the phone. You cannot get through your loved ones. I have never dealt with such poor service and sorry that my loved one ended up in a place like this!

I DO NOT RECCOMEND this place. The staff are very rude and inconsiderate. My mother in-law is here. Because of covid we are not allowed to visit. We call. Every time we do we get put on hold for an hour. We hang up and call again but, it's the same BS. If we get Lucky and are able to speak with her nurse it's a general reply: "she's on oxygen and can't talk right now." We have no way of telling Mums that we love, miss and R praying for her. Not even my wife, the woman's own daughter, can speak with her. It's ridiculous. The mission of this facility is to alienate families.

My mother in -law is here. Because of covid I cannot visit so I call. Every time I do I get put on hold for an hour maybe longer just that after an hour I hang up. Call again and get put on hold. I'm on hold as I write this and, as of yet, nobody has answered. If they do not want family to call they should not answer the phone. They are very inconsiderate. There is no way of communicating with family, no way of telling Mums that we love, miss and, are praying for her. This is absurd. Not even my wife, the women's own daughter, can speak with her. The mission of this facility is to alienate families. Between this review and speaking with a friend 1 hour has passed and I'm still on hold. I'll do as usual and hang up

My loved one was transferred here from a local hospital to receive rehab care after being diagnosed with COVID. From the beginning, it was a nightmare. Simply speaking to a nurse for daily updates was impossible. Hardly any of the staff speaks English and the few that do are extremely rude. The center is very unorganized and fails to put patient care first. My loved one’s PCP finally spoke with the staff and advised us to immediately have my loved one discharged due to the poor care they were receiving. We later found out, my loved one was placed in isolation without our knowledge and unable to call for help. On the day of my loved one’s planned discharge, the facility cancelled their transportation and never notified my family. We had to plead with "English speaking" staff to get answers as to why my loved one was no longer being discharged as planned. To add icing on the cake once my loved one was finally discharged, we discovered a parasite on her lower leg and medication belonging to another patient. If you truly care about your loved one, do not send them here!

My mother is in rehabilitation at Coral Reef. The service is wonderful. The people are nice, and the director is wonderful. Whenever I have a problem, all I have to do is call her and everything gets fixed right away. They don't give out information over the phone, but I can call the director and she could take the phone to my mom to get permission for her to talk to me. She always goes out of her way if I have a problem. The grounds are really nice and beautiful. I don't smell any bedpans or anything. It's very nice, clean, and neat. The workers are very good and do her laundry. The location is perfect because there's a school next door, a church in front, and an opening from the hospital next to it where you can walk down a little path to the hospital from the facility. They basically try to stay within your insurance means, so you have no or little out-of-pocket cost. Mom has made a lot of improvements. She's trying to walk and talk again.
