My father likes Plantation Oaks. Everybody is good, very helpful, and their communication is great. Everything is wonderful. He started out in memory care because that's what they recommended for him, but within two weeks they moved him into assisted living and he's way happier. He seems to like the food there.

I toured Plantation Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care. I would have preferred to be there because it's a smaller community and a more convenient location for me than down here in Gainesville, but they were a little pricey. They had a very nice facility, they're a smaller community. There were only about 70 people there and I liked that about it over the size of where I'm currently at. It's more assisted living and they have a memory care unit for people that have problems with their memory. They are a lot more hands-on as far as assisting you, and if it could be independent living, that appealed to me too. The staff was great. I liked primarily their location and their size and it would be easier to remember everybody's name. They have very nice apartments. They gave me an apple pie for just taking the tour. The dining area looked to be adequate. It looked like it would accommodate everybody in the building without any problem. It was very clean. It did not smell antiseptic. It did not smell like an old folks home. It was very nice.

I've visited Plantation Oaks Senior Living and there wasn't anything I disliked about the place. They have very good staff who were very caring, they're eager to find a place that fits our needs, and they're very professional. The food was very tasty, it was a balanced diet that was served very nicely. They have activity rooms, they have an area where they can do different arts and crafts, they have a large front porch with rocking chairs that people can go out and sit in. They have kind of a horticulture situation where people could plant in their little gardens, and they seemed to enjoy that. They had entertainment, a lot of bingo, and other activities like that.

Our tour at Plantation Oaks Senior Living was great. The people were amazing. Security was good, but it's an old facility, and I think the acceptance of it depends on the client. I would've probably chosen it, but my brother wanted something more upscale. We saw some residents eating a snack, but that was all.

I saw the assisted living and memory care areas of Plantation Oaks. It was very nice. The people were very pleasant. It was a little more expensive than I wanted, but I really liked it. It was my second choice, but the price pushed me the other way. I saw their dining area and it was nice. It was a fairly large area. They have plenty of room for the residents that they do have.

My husband is expected to move into Plantation Oaks this weekend. Everybody that we met in the hallway had a big smile on his/her face. They're very nice people. Everything seemed clean. There were no horrible smells. They showed me the different areas and some rooms. Everything seemed fine. They have assisted living in the front area and an added wing for people that need more care. I chose this because it was close and I can go there every day if I need to.

PO has provided us with a sense of security knowing our mom is happy, content and well taken care of. She is now active, eating every meal and says it's a nice place. Thank you for making her feel good about herself. What a terrific staff! Thank you

Plantation Oaks is very welcoming and the residents were very approachable and out and about instead of being stuckin their rooms. The leadership is very responsive and accommodating and listened very well. My friend moved into their assisted living. They also have memory care. My friends impression of the food is Southern style; shes not as accustomed to it, but the food is fine. They have an activity room for painting, cards, and puzzles. They have a TV room for watching movies together with a large selection of different kinds of movies. They have church groups and some local people bringing in religious activities. They also have bingo. The building looks nice and well cared for.

My father was left unattended and uncared for. The staff did not follow my instructions nor did they follow the protocol that I left for them. Needless to say we left for another facility. The only good thing I can say about them was my father was alive when we left.

My mother lived at this facility for over a year and I loved it for her. Before she wasn't a really happy person at the last facility I had her in but once I put her in Plantation Oaks she was always in a great mood. Always !!! My mom passed away on August 26, 2017 due to complications from a stroke. When first admitted in the hospital she was worried about all her friends and wanted to go back. I couldn't ask for a better or cleaner place to have taken my mom to before she passed. THANK YOU !!!!

My mother-in-law is in Plantation Oaks. She is comfortable there. It is easy going and not too hard for her. They are very helpful. They have ice cream nights, bingo, and play piano a lot. They serve three meals a days, plus have fruits, coffee, tea, and juices. They do their laundry, clean their rooms, and have regular nurses that come in and check on them and attendants come in all the time. So, she is really safe. They have a doctor that comes into the facility. The staff is wonderful. They always have smile on their faces.

My father is in Plantation Oaks Senior Living. It was a little bit off the main roads and was the closest one to where he was. The reviews were good. Everybody that I met there treated it like it was their calling and not their jobs. I was very comfortable with my dad being left in their care. They had activities everyday for him to do. I think every Thursday, they go to Farmers Marke,t but I’d like to see him do some more outings. I did check out the menu, and my dad hasn’t had any complaints about the food at all. He seems happy with it.

Plantation Oaks Senior Living would have been a great place for my dad. It is a wonderful facility. I felt like the staff was almost familial. They treated the residents like they were family. It was a very clean, and pleasant place to be in aesthetically. They have a salon, a community room, a game room, and an outdoor space with rocking chairs where people could just enjoy the weather.

Plantation Oaks was nice and laid-back, and the people have all been positive and responsive. The price was really competitive. The rooms were small and either private or semi-private. I have a friend whose wife is in there, and they are doing very well.

Plantation Oaks was one that we also liked very much. I liked the staff, there was plenty of parking, the food was good, and the tour was very interesting. They had different things that were adorable for the residents, like they had a ballroom where they had all of their dancing and whatever was going on, and they decorated that. They had a pool. Their studios were quite large compared to some of the other studios we have looked at. The grounds have got some trees, not too many. One of the big drawbacks to my mind was it was on the corner of a very busy intersection, and so you did get the traffic noise unless your apartment was very far back. But it was very pleasant, they had covered walkways between the buildings, and the staff was very pleasant. It was kind of laid back but congenial. The two things that were kind of different were the pool and this ballroom where a lot of the activities went on.

Mere words cannot adequately describe the care and attention that the residents receive. It is extremely difficult to understand why there are so few reviews. I for one, was most impressed by the entire staff. I enjoyed many meals during my visits and it was always a pleasure to look forward to. Everyone was always given VIP treatment by the dining staff. Need something repaired or help in moving? Maintenance staff was always and promptly there. Medical issues or questions? Yes, there were many but they were always handled in the most courteous and efficient manner by the medical staff. No activities? Only if one refused to participate....I highly recommend this residence and extend my heartfelt thanks to Meta and her staff for everything .

Mom is now in Plantation Oaks Senior Living. The staff is very caring and friendly. They treat her like she’s the only one there. It’s very clean and well-landscaped. The outside looks like a plantation. Inside, it’s clean; you don’t have that institution smell. They got an artist who painted a floor-to-ceiling mural all the way down the main hall in the memory unit that looks like downtown USA. It looks like a fair is going on. You keep walking, and there is a little house with the clothesline blowing in the wind and a girl playing jump rope. There is a house and a pasture. It is absolutely lovely.

My mother is a resident at Plantation Oaks. She has only been there for 3 weeks, but they staff and management alike treat her like family. They are concerned about any needs she has. She likes the food, and her room is very nice.

The center is expanding in the number of rooms, but they lack other activities such as a excerise room, outings, not much social things going on. I think they also need more staff for the care that some of the people require. Sometimes it is more than 15 minutes before staff responds to a call. The admin. staff is nice, but it is so hard to get to talk to someone in private, do not like talking at the desk for all to hear. One the plus side they do a nice job of decorating for each holiday, The kitchen staff is very friendly and also willing to see that everyone likes what they are served. Their has been a lot of staff changes recently, hoping to see some good help.

My husband and I only looked at Plantation Oaks once. They're not very big and they didn't offer as much. They told us they're supposed to be expanding. But the main thing was the odor of urine bothered me. The room they showed us smelled and the carpet needed to be replaced. The place has been there for a long time. But the people were excellent. Everybody we met there were really nice. I think this is a relatively new group. The lady that showed us around, the gentleman and the lady in the front office were wonderful. The maintenance man was nice. I think it's just that they were newer management team.

It's a smaller facility but it was very nice. It's spotless and smelled very clean. This would have been a good place to go for my mom. Their goal was to keep the residents outside doing things as opposed to being in your room all day. They were good with that as they have a lot of activities. Even if it's a small town, they still have a lot of things to do. They have bingo and people that are artists and play the piano for everybody to hear. The day that we spent there, the administrators mentioned that their motto is that the patients are the people who give them a job and he only wants staff that are friendly and helpful. That pretty much came true. The staff there seemed to enjoy what they were doing.

Plantation oaks is an amazing place. My aunt was a resident there and she really enjoyed the stay. She often stayed in the garden and library. She had many friends and introduced me to most of them. She said the dining area was so beautiful and they offered several choices. When i visited i noticed the physical and occupational therapy center which i was happy about do to her bad knee as well as the thoughts of being unemployed. I loved this place, the staff were all very nice and very helpful when i was trying to find my aunts room. Her room was absolutely beautiful and so cozy. It was nice to see her and the girls playing poker as usual at the table. I noticed everyone had amazing hair, they all proceeded to tell me about the salon they all go to for there color, cuts and perms. It was really nice to see her so happy. I left this place with a huge smile on my face, and at ease with my choice on bringing her.

The entire staff works very hard to meet individual needs, from dietary preferences to medications. A variety of activities are offered to keep minds alert, and they constantly interact with the residents as they move around the facility. Snacks and beverages are available on the main floor to keep people happy and hydrated, as well. The overall feel is that of one large family. The staff attempts to treat each resident as if he or she were a parent or grandparent. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for assisted living for a family member.
