My grandfather was at Fort Walton Rehabilitation Center. I like their staff a lot better than the other place he was in. They were a lot better with communicating with me about what was going on with my grandpa. I can get right through to the nursing station. It was great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I don't have any complaints at all. The facility was nice and clean.

My husband stayed in Fort Walton Rehabilitation Center until he died. I was very happy with them. Everybody was very busy taking care of their clients. It was a large community, so there was plenty of space for everybody. The main thing is that they were very, very diligent about COVID. Your temperature has to be taken before you can come in, and they'll let in two people at a time. I was appreciative of that. It was spacious enough, and they had different hallways for the people. It was an older building, but I was completely satisfied with it. They had bingo and different little activities, but my husband was so bedridden that he didn't get to go to those activities. This facility was close to where we live, and so it just worked out 100%. The staff members were very friendly. They always did what they were supposed to do every day, they checked on him, they changed him, they made sure his bed was good, and they took care of him.

My husband is currently a patient there. Physical therapist never came this morning for his appt. took nurse over an hour to respond to request for his pain medication. No walker or wheel chair provided for mobility. I was met with unfriendly scolding when I inforned admin that we had acute care kidney appt—“we don’t like our patients coming and going”—these are md ordered visits.

What a refreshing change since the last time my mom had to go to a facility, the staff are caring , the administrator was available to answer our concerns and their therapist got my mom back on her feet. This place is a hidden gem & we are grateful to all . I recommend FW Health & Rehab for your needs , take a tour you won’t be disappointed

I am diabetic and this facility refuses to give me diet appropriate food. The tray contains cake, pudding and tons of foods that convert to sugar. When I asked for sugar free condiments and healthy snacks, I was told to call friends and have them bring it. This place does NOT care about their patients health. Meals look and taste like a garbage pile; even the aides are appalled by this food.

My mother died as a result of an untreated UTI which turned into Urosepsis while living at this facility. A month before, she had a bruise that covered her entire left forearm with a gash in the middle, which the staff could not provide an explanation for. Because of the swelling in her arm they had to x-ray it. I still have not received an explanation as to how such a large bruise on an arm paralyzed by a stroke could have happened to her. I had constant issues with them shrinking her clothes, putting her in clothes that didn't belong to her, dirty room, and dirty wheelchair. All of which I have photos.

The place is really clean and up to date on equipment. BUT, It takes a very long time to answer when a patient pushes the nurse button, if it is even answered at all. There is NEVER any ice water in the room when I come. There is water in the same cup that is always there, but never any ice. My friend asks for drinks and hours later, he still has none. The nurses do stand up at the station on their cell phones and are talking to each other. I pushed the nurse's button and then walked up there and they did NOT answer the call. The food is brought cold and has to be turned away. They need more staff or more caring staff. Also, I always see the same woman in a chair in the hallway sleeping in a very uncomfortable position every time I come which is 3 or 4 times a week, I feel so sorry for the patients.

This is a great facility and has the cleanest and newest physical therapy gym in town. They need more staffing, as their CNA's are overworked, but the nursing staff provides excellent care. The food is great compared to hospital food. The cnas are very friendly and patient. 5 stars for this rehab!

The staff is not professional, The Cnas stand around at the nurse station on their cell phones. Takes the cnas 2o to 25 minutes to answer a call light. So, if the resident came in continent bowel and bladder, it wouldn't be long before you would incontinent bowel and bladder, or you would have a bladder infection,

My experience with Fort Walton Rehabilitation Center so far has been very positive. The staff seems quite professional. Everything is just spic and span and great. My father said the food is very good, and he is happy with that. The common areas outside are great and includes a wonderful gazebo in the back. This will be my father's second day, so it's kind of early in the game, but as of right now, I would certainly recommend them.

I visited this facility and the staff wasn't helpful at all.I was looking for someone and they didn't know they where, told me just to look around. The nurses were at the nurses station standing around talking and on cell phones.I wouldn't put anyone in there if it was free.I've talked with other people who have had plenty of complaints about this place.

Excellent, outstanding, very good. The staff is very attentive, and it is sufficient staff for the community that resides in there. They have a very good operation, it's very clean, and the food is good. I haven't tried the food personally, but judging from my mother-in-law, she eats it up pretty much on a regular basis. I am impressed with the attentiveness of the staff and the cleanliness of Fort Walton Rehabilitation Center.

Parthenon Healthcare Of Fort Walton is a very nice facility. It is very clean and one does not get the all too familiar "nursing home" smell when entering the facility. I always see the cleaning staff cleaning the halls and rooms when I'm there. The staff has always been very nice, helpful, and accommodating to us whenever we have questions. I've noticed that they are also very nice and attentive to the patients as well. The patients always look clean and look well cared for.On the downside, the patients often complain about the food. The food looks good, but they say it does not taste good. Patients that are well enough to go to the dining room, get a hot fresh meal. However, the bedridden patients often complain that the food is cold by the time it gets to them. I would highly recommend the company get better food carts and/or trays to keep the food hot, so everyone can enjoy a hot meal.
