Brookdale Fort Walton Beach is a nice place. There are a lot of friendly and nice people. The only complaint I have is billing. They haven't gotten my billing straight in six to eight months, and that's driving me crazy. The atmosphere is good. It's pretty nice. The food is average. There are not many amenities available right now. They have bingo, movie night happy hour, and that's about all they've got. The staff members are good. They're friendly, nice, and helpful. My wife was here. She needed care, but she passed away, so I stayed here. I have been staying here because I couldn't move out. I had to buy all the new furniture and all that stuff, so it's cheaper to stay here.

I toured Brookdale Fort Walton Beach's assisted living and it was good. They've got both studio apartments and 1-bedroom ones. I think they even have 2-bedroom ones too. The staff seemed perfectly fine and the overall facility looked pretty nice.

My mother moved into Brookdale Fort Walton Beach. We chose it because it was smaller and it's a single story. The people are very friendly and caring. She has more attention there than the place she was at. I just thought that she would get better care at a smaller facility and a much nicer facility. There are 3 major common areas, a little welcoming area, the cafeteria, 3 special purpose rooms for games or reading, and a veterans room. Her apartment is neat, well maintained, but small. I've tried the food that they serve one time, and it was very good and well presented on the plate.

The tour at Brookdale Fort Walton Beach went great. I liked the one-bedroom apartment a lot. It looked clean and well-kept. It's a nice, small community, and very intimate. The staff was very nice, considerate, and professional. They gave me a calendar of activities that they do.

My dad stayed at Brookdale Fort Walton Beach for 10 days during Thanksgiving. It's just a little vacation break, and he enjoyed it there. They took care of him. My first few days before leaving, I would show up unannounced at different times of the day, and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary or a mystery about anything. He enjoyed meeting new friends there. He talked about the staff and the care. The food and everything was satisfactory. I was happy with it. His room there is bigger than his room here at home. It had a lot of open space and a lot of closet space. He has a large screen TV, a little refrigerator, and a microwave. The place was very clean. The staff was caring and friendly with my dad. He had no mistreatment or anything. I was just happy with the care they gave to my dad. The dining area was very well set up. They had another room set aside for private family meals, but they have large dining areas. They opened up for families to come in for Thanksgiving.

We toured Brookdale Fort Walton Beach, and the staff that we worked with there was very helpful. It's an older facility, we saw both the assisted living and memory care also. It was very nice. The staff showed us rooms that they were working on that were empty and they were cleaning up. And you could tell that they were doing work on it to make it ready for someone to move into. I noticed that from the people living there that you make the room your own, so they were very nice. Their location is very easy to get in and out of and secluded, it's not on a busy street. It is a busy street, but it's off back from it so it's a good location. The staff who gave the tour was very nice, very good, and very knowledgeable. I've been over there a couple of times in a two-year frame. From the first time I went there and even just recently, even when she moved over to the new facility, she has continually kept up with me to check on mother and mother's status and to let us know that they were still there for us if we needed her and all that. So she's been very helpful.

The thing I liked least about Brookdale Fort Walton Beach was the parking lot out front, because it was raining on the day that I went. Most of the parking spaces, if you park in them and you got out of your car, you were going to step into water. That was just my very first impression, because it happened to be raining that day. I don't know if there was parking in the back that I could have used; if there's not, there's not a lot of parking. To me, you can't have very many people visiting or even to be able to have any functions outside. It was nice, but nothing stood out, good or bad, other than the parking lot. The staff was very accommodating, answered questions, and was knowledgeable about everything. The rooms were big and nice. They were definitely reasonable, actually bigger than what I thought they would be. Each room had a closet and a bathroom. Some of them might have two people living in them where they go through the same main door, had a shared living area and a bath, but they had separate bedrooms, and those were fairly nice. You could still have your privacy. Even though you're sharing a room, and probably what they would consider sharing costs with that, they would still have their own private bedroom. I think that makes that good, especially in the assisted living area.

Brookdale Fort Walton Beach was nice. The staff was nice, and the people seemed friendly. I didn't have any complaints at all. I saw both assisted living and memory care. The rooms were very basic; there's nothing fancy about them.

Brookdale Fort Walton Beach was not quite as clean as the others I looked at, but they had the biggest rooms. The layout was OK. The dining area was small, and they had some snacks out. The girl during the tour was really nice. There were residents sitting around tables and talking to each other. They had a very small library.

Brookdale Fort Walton Beach had a patio area, but I didn't see the rooms. I wasn't particularly fond of the dining room. The place seemed bland. There were people waiting upfront for somebody to come in for entertainment, and they were very bored. I was not impressed with the facility so much, but I loved the manager. She was fantastic herself, but the facility seemed real quiet and very generic to me.

My father is living in Brookdale Fort Walton Beach. Its been exceptional, and the people have been extremely helpful with the stressful situation of getting my father moved. They were awesome about it, got him settled, worked with me, and manage his healthcare extremely well. I like the people. It's a very safe environment. They do all of his cleaning, laundry, and food.

I visited Brookdale Fort Walton Beach, and this one had smaller rooms. I was not as impressed. The people seemed very nice, but most of the residents just sat around and were bunched together, and they just stared. It wasn’t the same climate for me. The groups of people I saw were probably advanced in their facilities, and that could be why. I did not like the location because it was pretty close to a busy street. They lock the door and did not even have an inner courtyard where people can go outside, so I did not like that at all. They had activities, and the staff seemed very nice.

I love it, and my father loves it. We chose Wellington Place because of the location, great services, and the amount of people. He gets the attention he needs, and he doesn't get lost in the noise.

The staff during my visit was very informative and very helpful. The security seemed fine. The rooms were small as far as I am concerned, but I just felt like Wellington Place was a nice place.

Wellington Place was nice. We were very impressed with it. However, it is too expensive for us. I have a gluten allergy, and the lady that I talked to there said that she didn't know if any assisted living provided a gluten-free diet. It is something that they could not do there too, so we could not go there. Their apartments were nice. Their dining room was nice. My wife liked the food, but like I said, I'm on a gluten-free diet, so I didn't eat much of it.

The lady at Wellington Place of Ft. Walton Beach was very patient with me. She took all the time in the world to answer my questions and I couldn’t ask for more. I was able to visit the dining room and I was told that they would give you a menu and you can have some choices. I am diabetic and they told me that they are able to accommodate diabetic diet. The room was small, but it was nice and everything is clean too. There are still a lot of thing that I didn’t know about the facility, but I did not find anything that I disliked.

I heard about Wellington Place from friends. The rooms and the staff are all super. The food is very good. They have everything she wants to do and they bring her out on outings. She's fine there. I like best the care that they give her. She adjusted well.

Wellington Place is very nice. If she needed more assistance that would probably be the place, I will put her. The rooms were nice. I liked the personal assistance when I went there. The place was recommended by my financial adviser and his family lived there.

We like everything about Brookdale Senior Living. It is a very nice facility with nice employees and it was convenient for us with regard to the location. They've showed us all the rooms and everything before we decided that it would be a good place for us. Right now, they're doing some upgrades to the actual infrastructure and once it's done, it will be great.

There are not many choices for elderly care in my town. I visited this one and liked it. The staff were all very nice and seemed genuinely concerned about the residents. They took me on a tour of the entire facility. Letting me take as much time as I needed. The common areas were very nice. All was warm and cozy. The food looked and smelled great! I was very impressed with that. I liked the variety of activities that are offered to the residents. The outside was nice as well. I am glad that in took the time to visit. It is a place I will consider for my family in the future.

The first thing I noticed was how nice the place was, it reminded me of a hotel, in a good way. It was clean and kept up. They treated family members and friends of the patients with respect. I appreciated not having the feeling of being "in the way" the entire time, like I have with past assisted living centers. The cooks their were on break, and we great company to talk to while waiting to see my friend, she even offered us coffee. I was able to have a long chat with my friend plus one of the nurses. She was very nice and attributed to the conversation. I am young, and my friend is far older than me, but she is not senile. She is smarter than many of the youth I'm friends with, and a much better friend as well. I appreciate knowing she will be treated with dignity at this center and I look forward to visiting her again in the future.

We went to visit Wellington Place of Ft. Walton Beach assisted living facility since we were looking at places for my friend's mother to live. The outside grounds had many exotic plants that were extraordinarily vibrant. The circular drive provided easy access. The interior foyer was fresh, bright and spacious. The facility offers plenty of amenities - like social enrichment activities within the community. The lunch we saw was like you might find in an upscale diner. They also had a private dining room for friends and family to enjoy. The restaurant style dining area was fresh and bright with a light color scheme. The staff takes residents on weekly outings for shopping and entertainment. The exercise area had nicely appointed equipment and offered exercise classes. The spacious private rooms were nicely personalized with comfortable furniture and colors. This assisted living facility offers residents flexibility and comfort. The respectful and professional staff is kind and caring.
