Bay Port of Fort Walton Beach is a little smaller than the other assisted living places I have visited. It also has smaller meeting or gathering areas for the residents so it was a little bit more homely. It's more of a commercial area, though, so it's around busy roads. The staff was good. We just did a walk-in, we didn't have an appointment, but they seem to be pretty good at being able to accommodate us immediately. As soon as we walked in, they were able to hook us up with somebody and gave us a tour. The facility was new so overall, it was in a pretty good condition.

I toured Bay Port of Fort Walton Beach. It was a decent community. I wasn't crazy about the layout of the studios because there was too many bedrooms and not enough living space, but the facility itself was very nice. The staff members were very nice and very helpful. They had the usual amenities. They had like a salon. When you walk in, it's very bright. It doesn't feel like a dungeon or anything, which is nice. I don't want my loved one to be somewhere dark and depressing. So I liked the fact that it was bright. Everything was nice except the layout of the studio. The staff who gave the tour was fine. She was nice, so the only improvement that I see would be the layout of the studios.

Bay Port of Fort Walton Beach is brand new, so everything is immaculate, and it looks nice. I can't remember the name of the person who showed me around and talked to me, but she was very friendly and very nice. I liked her. They have several little dining areas, and they were all nice. It was well lit. It was nice. They also have a separate dining area that you could reserve for family things for up to 20 people, which is very nice, too. They have an exercise area and a movie theater where they show movies. It felt more homey than an institution. It's brand new and it's very nice. Not only were they the nicest looking and newest, but they were also very expensive.
