I visited dozens of senior living places and I narrowed it down to three. I chose The Meridian at Waterways because of the staff ratio per person. It was a little bit cheaper than the other two because I didn't have a big swimming pool and a couple of things that I knew my husband was going to use anyway. He has a beautiful view of the waterway, and I've been very pleased with it. I haven't really found anything I don't like because he enjoys the food, and the staff is very kind and nice and so, right now I don't have anything I don't like about it. The rooms are nice and large and they have very large bathrooms.

The Meridian at Waterways is where I would want to go if I needed to go somewhere. I was extremely happy with it. They are a rather new development. It's right on a major waterway. The views are fantastic. The dining is on the seventh floor, and you have views of the ocean and the waterway. It just appealed to me immensely. There's beautiful artwork in the common areas and the hallways. It was nice. The staff was fantastic. I met with the chef and he explained the meals that they prepare and the fact that if you have a favorite recipe from your family, you bring it in and he will prepare it. If you have a favorite cookie recipe, he will make cookies for you. It was just a good feeling. It was beautiful. The rooms are reasonably sized. The only comment I would have is the windows in the various rooms seem to be small, but then when you're in your room, I don't think you stand around looking out the window. I would like larger windows, but they are what they are. There's the ease of parking. The entryway has a beautiful sculpture as you enter the lobby. They have a nice receptionist and receiving area. The hallways are not long and hotel-like. They seem to be very short. All in all, I was very very impressed with it.

A member of my family lives at Meridian. The apartments are well designed and convenient to all parts of the service space. It is clean and well maintained with a friendly and helpful staff. There is entertainment and the dining Room has great food. This makes for an easier transition for an elderly person.

I went to The Meridian at Waterways. Because the land that they built on was so small, everything was small. The rooms as well as the hallways are small. It has a beautiful view of the Intracoastal, but other than that, everything was just small. The food was good. I had lunch there, they gave me lunch. That was very good. The dining room is on the eighth floor, and it has a beautiful, beautiful view. But the prices are very expensive. They had regular amenities. Like most places, they had a place where they had entertainment, a movie theater, and basically, they had a calendar of events for the month. The staff seemed very nice.

The Meridian at Waterways was excellent. I only had an fabulous out of this world chocolate chip, freshly made cookie that the chef presented to me. I didn't have a meal. They had a very beautiful dining room looking at the water, but you can't see the ocean from there. It's not surrounded by as many conveniences and shops, but it is right on the water and they are getting a boat to take people out on excursions on the water. It's a little bit smaller than others, a little more intimate, more like a boutique hotel. They had lovely furnishings and a smaller dining room. They have their own theater. They have a lot of excursions. They have a memory floor, which they call Montessori Moments in Time. It's a very good value for the money. I met the chef who's very responsive to requests. They have meetings with the chef and they ask the residents for recipes that they would like and that's excellent interaction there.

We went and visited The Meridian at Waterways. We like that one. We toured the whole facility. The views of the waterway were very nice. The facilities seemed very nice. The staff seemed friendly. It seemed clean, well-kept, and fairly modern. It was mostly good. They have a beauty salon, a nice little bar, a beautiful piano bar that we liked, and a lovely common area. The hallways around the memory were not nice as the rest of the facility. It was a little shoddy, and the carpet seemed a little worn. In the memory care room that we were shown, the blinds were askew and looked to be broken. It just didn't seem quite as nice as the assisted living room.

My tour at The Meridian at Waterways was very nice. They showed me around, and it seemed very nice. It was just a little pricey, and it was ala carte. Where my mother is right now is less expensive and everything is included, so that's the only difference between the two of them. The Meridian at Waterways is close to me. The staff seemed nice, and the rooms seemed quite nice. The facility seemed very clean and well kept. It's six stories up and down, but it's very compact. A lot of other places are so spread out that if I were 91, I would lose my way. I did not have the time to try the food, but they said it's very good.

My mother-in-law is at The Meridian at Waterways. It's a very nice-looking place. I've dealt with many facilities, and they all have their issues. It's the same everywhere. Communication is bad, and I'm not saying that they're any worse than any of the other facilities. It's a beautiful facility, but it doesn't mean that the care is any better than anyplace else. It's the same at every facility. She doesn't do any of the activities. They have an exercise program, a place for physical therapy, and a beauty parlor. She doesn't like the food, but that's not to say that it's not good. She's not happy there, and I think it's overpriced. The ratio is very poor for the help to the residents, though it's clean.

We are living in Symphony at the Waterways. We can't eat the food because it is bad. Some of the staff members are good, but some are bad. They're friendly, though. We have a room-and-a-half with a bedroom, a living room, and a small kitchen. The rooms are clean, but the food is horrible. They have a theater and a card room, bingo, and trips out to restaurants, plays, and shows.

It is amazing. It's fantastic, brand new, and gorgeous. I'm sure people would be very impressed. If you can pay the money, it's a lovely place to go. It has beautiful view and you can see the ocean. It's also in a nice area. The building is gorgeous. It's like a high-end condo.

I will move in after five weeks. It’s a brand-new building, it’s eight stories, they have three dining rooms, and any resident can go to any dining room anytime and any day. There’s a memory care on the fifth floor. They have a full-time concierge, a car to take you anywhere, and a movie theater with a 70-inch screen. The eighth floor is a place where you can order drinks, and this is open to the public.
