Holiday Lake Ridge Village was a very friendly place. The gentleman we spoke with, Bob, was very pleasant, very friendly, and professional. He gave us a very thorough tour. The rooms were nice. Each room had a bedroom, a small living room, updated bathrooms, and a small kitchen. They have a little patio area for each resident, too. That was nice. The cleanliness was good. The biggest issue I had with that facility is that it is so spread out. It would require a lot of walking, and my mother is 84 years old.

I moved into Holiday Lake Ridge Village. They have wonderful meals, and you have food choices for each meal. They have a lot of activities, like bingo, crafts, and all sorts of other things. I'm very happy. The staff was very nice and helpful. We all have our own patios. There is a maid service to help clean up our apartment. The dining area is very nice and clean. People gather there early to talk and things like that.

My dad moved into Holiday Lake Ridge Village. I like everything about it. I have no negative complaints about it. It's been good so far. My dad's room is large and very spacious. The dining area is beautiful. The activities are nice. The staff and residents are really friendly. They give you a calendar with plenty of activities on it. At the time I was there, they were watching and doing karaoke on television.

I went to look at Holiday Lake Ridge Village. I liked that there were a lot of people to mingle with. The apartment was kind of small. They said it was 650 square feet, but I couldn't imagine all my furniture fitting in that apartment itself. The staff did very well, but he's kind of persistent. He keeps calling me. I've already told him that I wasn't interested in moving in because, number one, it was cost-prohibitive. They said meals were included, but the meals were like snacks. I looked at the menu, and they had a very limited menu. They had good amenities and a lot of activities. The laundry was convenient. They had a little exercise area and a lot of walking areas outside. If they're going to include meals, they have to have more choices. The food size was very minimal. I liked the place, but I wasn't enthusiastic about the price I would be paying per month for what I was getting in return.

Everybody we met at Holiday Lake Ridge Village was very friendly and very welcoming. They were great. The place was very nice and open. It was more like a family type of care. My mom really didn't like the location, because she said it was a little bit outdated for her, but overall, the hospitality of the people who took time to show us the place was really nice. The apartments also seemed nice, but it just wasn't for her. Everything was on the ground floor and she had some safety concerns about patio doors, but that was just her own preference. It was clean though, and they mentioned that they had some activities there, a gym, and a bus that would take them to places, and shopping and so forth.

Holiday Lake Ridge Village was OK in a lot of areas, but not great. It just wasn't as clean as I thought it should be. Some of the staff were great. Some were just not that attentive. Mom said the food was OK. They had pretty good entertainment. The general appearance could have done some work. It's not rundown, but it's not great.

We saw Holiday Lake Ridge Village. When I first went in the door, I was greeted. I walked the property first just to get a feel of the property. They didn't know me, but I felt like I wasn't a stranger, like they knew me when I entered the facility. They were very nice and very courteous. I like the fact that they have three prepared meals for whoever is staying there. And like the fact that they have VA on staff as well, and everyone that I encountered was very nice and friendly. So I felt very comfortable there. The property is beautiful. The rooms are nice, I saw the one-bedroom and it's spacious, so I don't believe a person would feel claustrophobic, and also had an enclosed lanai, which I thought was a nice touch, making them feel independent. I walked through the dining area. It's spacious. It was very clean, but I didn't get to taste the food. But it looked very clean and very organized. I think there was a small workout room, and I think there was an area where they could come out like a community to watch movies or whatnot, and I think I saw a transportation truck.

I saw Holiday Lake Ridge Village. I liked it. I was pretty impressed. I wasn't going to be impressed, it's an old community, you can tell it's showing its wear and tear. But I found the people there very nice. The apartments were nice. They seemed to be very willing to work with me on some issues that I had, and they were just very pleasant. I could see myself living there. The woman who was the activities director was wonderful. The apartments were old, and from what they said, they're doing a gradual policy of renovating the apartments. I thought the apartments were spacious. I liked some of the amenities they have. They have a call button in the apartment. The bathrooms were nice. They offer meals, but they don't offer the arrangements you find in assisted living.

I toured Holiday Lake Ridge Village. The staff were very friendly. They gave us a lot of information. They gave us a tour and all of that. It's just that we didn't like the building and the design. I know they have different classes and exercise and all that. I also remember a dining room even though we didn't eat there. But because we didn't like the location and the building, we didn't pay a lot of attention. The place was dark and small and looked a little aged, that's why we didn't like it too much. They need to make renovations to the facility, like modernize it. It just looked aged.

I was a resident of Holiday Lake Ridge Village. The facility, I wouldn't call it excellent, but it was adequate. The staff was all excellent. The food service was excellent, and the location was excellent. Right across the street is a shopping center, so it's not too bad. The facility was okay, it's not brand new, but then again, it's not so old. The staff, they're not perfect but I rate them a four. A couple of times a week they would have different activities. They would bring in musical acts and piano players, all kinds of different things they brought in a magician one time. So, they bring different entertainers in to keep us busy. I didn't appreciate the food at that time but compared to what else I've had out in the real world, I would say that was a five.

The personnel that we met at Lake Ridge Village were nice. It just needs a complete redo. We pulled into what was a parking lot and we couldn't find the entrance to the place. We finally walked around the building to get into it. There was a screened room that was open and the screens were all ripped out. When we walked into what was the dining room, it was old. The rooms need a lot of renovation, too.

We had an in-person tour of the Lake Ridge Village. The staff did a very nice job showing us the unit. It was on the lower end of the spectrum for the cost of care like that, which I thought was offered a good value for the cost.

Lake Ridge Village was quite good. It seemed to be open and friendly. The sales manager was able to discuss financing and what the costs were. The whole place was quite nice. It is an older community. So, the carpets were a little worn, but the sales manager said that they were going to be updating some of the services. They had a barbershop, a salon, exercise equipment, a nice dining room, an open area, and different activities such as bingo. They gave me a menu that covered a whole month of meals and they always offere different things throughout the whole month.

Lake Ridge Village is independent, but they'll allow a nurse to come in (like in the morning and in the evening) to remind my mom to take her medicine. They have tours. They have exercises. They have different types of games and things that they did. It was nice. It was just too far away. We only met with the girl at the desk and the guy that gave us the tour. They were very nice and very helpful. It was a very nice facility. We were able to see the rooms, and they were very nice. We were looking at a 1-bedroom, and it had a little patio. My only concern is that the patio had a couple of steps down into it; for some people it could be a problem.

My aunt has moved into Lake Ridge Village, and it's very nice for her. She has a little outside space and she can have her cat. It just wasn't something that was going to work for my mother-in-law because she needed somebody to prompt her to take her medication. I like that they could have a lifeline available to them, and their meals are prepared for them. There are some amenities that they're able to walk to as far as a little shopping center across the street. We only toured with somebody who showed us the place and he was excellent, then there was just a receptionist. I didn't really have any interaction with anyone else. They seem to enjoy the food, and my aunt said it's fine. They're just starting to come out of the COVID restrictions. They're just going to be able to dine together, so it's hard to get a good opinion of what really happens when the world is not the way it's supposed to be. It's clean. There was a hall that was a little offensive because there was some cigarette smoke that was strong. I don't smoke so it was very noticeable.

My mom has been in Lake Ridge Village for several months now. It has been good for her because we can still have access to her. She thinks the food is very good, too. I don't think the manager is the best, but she said the staff seems OK. They have activities, but with COVID going on, everything is so restricted now.

I visited Lake Ridge Village down in Eustis. It was an older facility, but they offer you a lot for your money. It just was too far away from my family. It was clean and it was better priced. The staff was also very nice. The room was good and for that amount of money, they will give you an actual apartment. In other places, that will only pay for a studio. If it had been closer, I really would have considered it. The building has 1 story, and it was not as modern as the other facilities. It was located right across a shopping center. I think it was built a long time ago before other buildings were built around it. It was not as palatial as the other places, but it would have been adequate for me if it weren't for the location.

We took a look at Lake Ridge Village personally, and had a look around. They really helped us out a lot, and tried to make some deals. It would have worked out really well if we could afford it, but it's mostly independent living, and we're thinking mom might need assisted living, and that's well outside our ability to pay. They did well for us, it was a nice visit, and it was close. It was a nice facility.

My brother is now at Lake Ridge Village. He is very satisfied. They have a meal program for him. He is very easy-going but he is fine with it. The staff that I dealt with had a very good contact, and I got a very good response from them. We finished the apartment and cleaned it up, but everything is fine. He got a small unit, and so far, he hasn't called me and complained about anything. Everything seems to be working OK. The staff is doing a very good job.

Lake Ridge Village was great and very homey. Everybody's very pleasant. You couldn't ask for a better treatment. Everybody came up to talk to us and showed us around. The help and management were awesome and great. The dining area was very homey. The activities were organized and the organizer was very active in it. The place was an older building but other than that, it was very comfortable and very conveniently located.

Front desk staff is unfriendly. Management does not follow through on residents’ needs. Some apartments now have rats, bedbugs and lice. Monthly rental fees include weekly cleaning but often don’t occur because they are short staffed. When they do clean it is very minimal as they are not allowed to move ANYTHING. Last month the kitchen used the monthly food allowance and ran out of food and condiments. They seriously need new management and to clean up their facilities.

I liked the villas at Lake Ridge Village. I liked that there was a garden spot because I enjoy plants. There were no real dislikes other than it was located too far away from being able to do a lot of things on your own. The activities were OK, but to do things with our own car to go places, it was too far away.

My mom stayed at Lake Ridge Village and came home because she didn't like it there. They didn't give her the care she needed. It's just an apartment for the elderly. They have one doctor and a nurse who comes in once a week. When my mom fell, they said they couldn't help her and said that she'd have to call 911. My mother enjoyed the puzzles, games, and they have church on Sundays. The staff was great.

My visit with Lake Ridge Village was very informative. We talked to just one person and he was very knowledgeable, very nice, gave us all the information and the tour, and told us all about the different things that go on at the facility. They were doing arts and crafts and had a whole calendar of activities. The apartments were very clean and very nice. The only thing is it's a very old facility that has not had any updating.

Lake Ridge Village was very nice. It was great. The people were very nice. All of them were very accommodating. The dining area looked wonderful. They have a gourmet chef, so they have good food. I saw few activities being done for the residents, like exercise classes. The facilities were very nice. I was only there for a brief time, but from what I saw and gathered, if I needed a place like that, I wouldn't mind staying there.

Lake Ridge Village was a very nice facility. The building is old, but it's been kept up and remodeled, and the apartment was completely redone with nice paint. The people that we were interviewed by were very friendly. If we were to give up our home and move into a retirement center, Lake Ridge Village would be the place that we would choose. We were very impressed with it. They have a wonderful dining area and they have lots of activities going on for the seniors. They have a little buffet with fruit and everything that's available at all times. They have a swimming pool and a beauty shop. It has everything you need, except for doctors, but they do have a bus that can take you where you need to go.

Lake Ridge was a very nice place that was ready to negotiate with me to lower the price. They had activities for seniors and help if they want it. It’s clean, and the apartment area was comfortable and roomy. The bathroom had a comfortable arrangement for people with a disability. They had a little porch where they could sit. The place looked like it had been there for a while.

Lake Ridge Village seemed to really care about their residents. They seemed down-to-earth, worked well with people, and seemed to be very accommodating. Even though they are independent living, they seemed to reach out and help those who needed some extra help. The price was reasonable. They had transportation two days a week for doctors’ appointments and shopping, and off-site excursions, like lunch out. They had special programs on different holidays where they had entertainment and activities going on. They served three meals a day. We had a nice lunch with them. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Some residents who were ambassadors for the facility sat with us at lunch and talked one-on-one about what they liked about it, and that was nice.

We had lunch at Lake Ridge Village, and it was pretty good. They gave us shrimp, lobster, and nice salad; we really enjoyed it. It was nice; we liked it. I wouldn’t mind living there once I need it. The associates that were there were really friendly and nice. The units were about 2100 or 2200 a month -- which is not a bad price -- but I think my friend only pulls in 1200 a month. Security seems good.

I went to Lake Ridge Village. I suggested my mom to move in as fast as she could because I was very impressed with it. I was impressed with the people, and I thought it was a very nice place for her. Everything looked nice and clean.

My mother is not too interested in very many of the extra activities, but they provide transportation for doctor’s appointments, and they have a very nice dining room. Lake Ridge Village is quite nice. I had lunch with the residents appointed as ambassadors of the community. They sat with me during lunch, and they answered all my questions after having taken the tour. We brought my mother-in-law and her husband the next day, and they fell in love with the place. They wrote the check that evening and moved in right away. It’s a lovely place. The chef and the food are excellent. They have 3 meals a day, all served in a lovely dining room. You have a choice of your drinks. They wait on you. It’s like you’re in a nice restaurant. I would give them a 5. We would live there ourselves if we had the money.

Lake Ridge Village was very clean, well-kept, and well-managed, and everything was very nice. They have 3 meals a day, and they have somebody on staff 24/7, medical staff if you need it, transportation to shopping and doctor's appointments, and help with cleaning. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and they were well-staffed, well-trained, and very personable. The 1-bedroom apartment I saw was comfortable, had a nice living room and bedroom, and had lots of closets.

I have a good friend who lives in Lake Ridge Village, and she loves it. I like the friendly people there. They showed me different available apartments, and I just love it, even prior to my visit there. They take them out on outings on a bus. The staff is very friendly, very helpful, and accommodating. They are great. The place is warm and friendly. They have a beauty salon, a library, and laundry facilities. They will pick up your garbage, if you want. You just put it by the door, and they will pick it up and take it to the dumpster. They deliver food to your room if need be and serve three meals a day.

Lake Ridge Village is good overall. They serve good food, have plenty of activities, and have a doctor on-site. The apartments are really spacious and nice and include little kitchens with a little stove and a full-size refrigerator. I decided to go with them because I really liked it and the location. It was halfway from my home to work, so it was easy for me to stop in on my way from home to work, so that was the main reason I chose it. Also, the price was the best.

Lake Ridge is dated, but for seniors it’s nice because they have their own private deck. The staff is awesome. I love them. They care for everybody, know everybody and they help everybody. We felt a little hammered at Lake Ridge. I didn't really like the heavy-handed sales approach. However, the facility itself seemed nice. They clean the apartments and they do your laundry, i.e., bed sheet and towels. The residents raved a lot about the meals. We never had one, but it seemed pretty good. They also provided transportation.

I like everything about Lake Ridge Village. It is all good. The staff is excellent. The rooms are great. They're roomy. I like them. They have a lot of activities. They have a lot of different card games and bingo. They're all like family. We have a good time down in the dining room. Again, it is like family atmosphere. The food is good. You can't please everyone all the time, but they try to accommodate as well as they can.

I didn’t like Lake Ridge. It's out of my price range. It was advertised as handicapped accessible, but it wasn’t. They had a screened porch for every apartment, but a person in a wheelchair could not reach it because there are two steps to get into the porch. All the doorways were too narrow to fit my wheelchair. There were only two entrance and exits that had a ramp, and they were a large distance apart. There were a lot of exits, but they all had stairs, and their bus wasn’t wheelchair accessible. It was not a wheelchair-friendly place. The staff was wonderful -- I cannot say anything bad about them. They were very nice and helpful.

We didn't like Lake Ridge Village that much. The whole interior looked very dark. The residents didn't look so happy; they all looked very depressed and down. We saw them when the residents were at lunch, and the workers were just like standing over on the sides, smoking cigarettes and whatever. They weren’t very involved with the residents, whereas, in the other two places, you could see that the staff really interacted with the residents. It was a very old facility, and it seemed clean enough, but it had seen much better days. The rooms were actually quite excellent. They were large and had nice patios attached to them.

My experience with Lake Ridge Village was very positive. I was very well received and very well fed. I was given a tour, and I liked the people -- both the management type people and the residents. The studio apartment, which is the only thing that I could afford, was really tiny. It was nice, clean, and light, but it was tiny. The food was good. The dining room was set in tables of four; that is with four chairs at a table, and there was lots of space. They have a variety of activities including bringing in entertainment on the weekends, and there was not anything which specifically appeals to me.

We basically chose Lake Ridge Village as it was very cost effective. It was a clean facility, it had good food, and the people were very friendly. The resident managers and all the staff were very accommodating. They seemed to be very caring and genuinely concerned about my mom’s welfare. They have tours that they take them on, entertainment, games, physical therapists, and exercises with them. Very nice facility and all encompassing.

They were very pleasant at Lake Ridge Village, but it was not what I was looking for. The room was fine. They did not have medical staff available during the night. The person in charge was fine.

Lake Ridge reminds me of a rundown motel. If you are really desperate, it is a place you could stay. Your parking is out in the community parking lot. It is a long walk to get in, and you have to walk down long hallways to get to the room. You have three meals a day there, and then you have to walk a couple of miles to the dining room. Cleanliness is average, and nothing in there really stood out. We were not impressed at all.

Hi, I'm Katie, I work at Holiday Retirement's Home Office. First, thank you for your sincere review. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your tour. Admittedly, there is not much we at Home Office can immediately do to revise the building's layout, but if you have any other suggestions for aesthetic improvement, we'd most certainly like to hear them. Please feel free to call 1-800-370-8331. Thank you, Katie

We visited just one -- Lake Ridge in Eustis. It was old. It seemed to be clean, and the people we talked to -- the manager that we talked to -- were all friendly. We had lunch there, and it was OK. We did not like the neighborhood. When we left, we kind of looked around, and it is right across from the shopping center. The majority of shops were closed and out of business, and then we had to go through a lot of traffic to get anywhere, and we just decided it was not the place for us. The only thing we would be getting out of it would be the meals, and they weren't all that exciting that anyway. We just decided it wasn't for us.

Lake Ridge is nice, but it’s not what we need. The facility was OK; I didn’t find any fault with it. The staff was OK; I didn’t find anything wrong with them. It’s good for people who are ready to have a place. The food was OK.

We went to visit the Lake Ridge Village, and we were served dinner. The staff was lovely, and this gal named Lisa showed us the apartments; it was nice. We didn’t leave there with the feeling that that was where we wanted to be because of the location itself. We live in The Villages, and we’d like something closer to here. They have most of the activities there, and they take people around to different places. The area wasn’t just for us.

Lake Ridge Village is a nice facility. It was the one that my father wanted. They provide you a little room of your own where you can enter from the street level. It looked pretty good. The area was clean. The unit has an entrance on the street level just like an apartment. Inside, the place was extremely clean; there was no smell or anything like that. The people were very friendly.

We liked Lake Ridge Village, and we visited it a couple of times. The staff was very nice and courteous. The food was delicious. The apartments were nice. It was close and convenient to everything. The amenities included transportation to doctor's offices, entertainments, shopping, and things of that sort. I believed it was even close to a DA's facility, and that was important to us because my husband goes to the DA. The only thing that they didn't have was swimming pool or a hot tub. They had a small physical therapy room. They had different things for men and women of anything that you could think of.

I was looking a place for my husband. Lake Ridge was nice. They have nice rooms and friendly staff. They also have good meals. My overall experience with them was good. The Lake Ridge surrounding was close to a mall, but there wasn't much grounds there around the building. It was like a city facility. What would I say to others about this facility? If they needed independent living with the food, the housekeeping, and all of that being paid for, Lake Ridge would be a nice place to retire to. It will give you a lot of independence.

Lake Ridge Village is a great and wonderful place. The food was wonderful and the people were very nice. The rooms were very spacious and affordable and that was the big thing. The activities were great, too. They have games, dancing, and karaoke, and all kinds of lessons: exercise, church, and lots of other stuff. It wasn’t just for us because my dad can't participate in any of those. He did move in for about three weeks, but it didn’t work out.

I am in Lake Ridge Village and chose it because of its value for price. It is kind of old, probably '60s or '70s construction, but on the other hand, it is several hundred dollars less than the competition. The staff was fine, helpful, and friendly. I have a very large one-bedroom apartment, which has a very good layout and fits my needs perfectly. I have three meals a day, seven days a week, and the food is fine. The dining room is more than adequate. They have different kinds of activities, like card games, bingo, music and exercise. I would recommend them to others.

We were able to tour Lake Ridge Village because it was recommended to us. The facility is all on one level. I like the fact that it gives you the opportunity to walk because it's all on one level. The residents are very happy about the food and the care that they are receiving. They also have in-home care in the facility, and that is what we liked about this facility. If I were moving into a facility, I would more in there. We saw a room that was empty, and it seemed very comfortable. The facility is close to a shopping center and a drug store. When we were there, I saw two vans taking people out for an organized outing. I saw some people using the Wii. I like the idea that there is planned activity at certain times of the month to have people out. If there's one thing they can improve on, I think they need some remodeling. It's an older facility, but not bad. It had more to offer, even though it's an older facility.

Lake Ridge was very old, probably 30 to 40 years old. It was single level and everything was pretty old. They had a little sitting area. They have nice people, but much older. It was cheaper than the other facilities and it was clean. The rooms were nice and the dining facilities were small and with less choices. The people who manage the place lived there and were always there to help. It was more family oriented and closer to the residents. They reminded me more of assisted living than independent living.

Lake Ridge is close to where we have been living. It was among of the least expensive places we've been to. I had all the facilities we needed. It's an older place, but it was very well-kept and nice facility. The people here are friendly. We have a lot of things going on. We have a pretty busy activity schedule like crafts, movies, games and trips. My wife has fit in very well. The apartments are nice. The food has been pretty good and they handle things very well in the dining area.

I like Lake Ridge Village very much. They were able to give me a good tour. It's an older building, but it's nice and they seemed to be fixing up the place. The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. It’s a comfortable place to live. I noticed that they have a lot of good activities and I saw that they play cards. They also have a barber shop there. The price was also reasonable.

Lake Ridge is a wonderful place. I would move there if I could. They were right at the end of their remodeling so it should be all finished now but everything was fine to me. The apartments were pretty nice. The one we saw had a bedroom, a living room, a little porch and a little kitchenette area and my aunt wouldn't even need to cook. She would just go to the dining room for everything. We had a lunch there the first time we went in and they actually let her stay for three days and two nights to see how she liked it. The food was very good. The people and the atmosphere were really nice. People there were sitting in the dining room. The day that I took my aunt over there to see it for the first time, she actually sat and played bingo with the residents. They had a little bus that would take them to doctor's appointment or the shopping mall. I really liked it there.

Dad is at Lake Ridge and he likes it because it is single-story. He likes it that it is independent living and he can have nurses when he needs one. He likes that he can have the meals serve to him and he likes the food. They also have meal options. Someone does the house cleaning. He likes the area and it is a nice place over all.

We went into Lake Ridge Village for about six months, but we decided that we're not just ready for that, so we went back to our house. The facility was excellent and it was close to where we live. They provided us three meals a day.

This is a nice place. We looked around and saw some facilities where we would absolutely not send my mother! But we looked and found Lakeridge, went there and it was something that we could afford. They were so kind and show us their rooms. The other residents would let mom look into their room too. The little porch on back and the three meal a day was great! We brought her a microwave but she doesn't really know how to use it. Bonnie and Helen, a few of the staff there, they were very nice. I would like them to improve on their food. My mom loves veggies and they only give her a scoop. Perhaps more serving on the vegetables because she doesn't get enough veggies. Also, the day mom moved in we saw a roach, and honest to goodness she'll leave if she sees another bug! And roaches are nasty. So they need a little more cleaning and sanitizing in the place. Mom is also supposed to get some help once a week with the housecleaning but her shower was never really cleaned. Mom said they were just in there for five minutes. She's also not using their linens or anything like that and so she does her own washing but sometimes she does need help making the bed up. She also has holes in her walls where they had done some drilling and those have not been filled in because they're right there in the living area, so when you walk in you see the holes. We brought it up to the staff already so I hope they do something about it.
