Sandy Tingle and her staff at Carrington provided a safe place for both of my wife’s parents during their end of life transition periods. Sandy and her staff are loving and caring people and nurtured and cared for both of my wife’s parents as closely as if they were their own parents. What a blessing they are to our community. We are forever grateful.

My brother will be moving into Carington Manor. It was very nice and homey. The rooms were good and nicely decorated. The cleanliness was excellent. The owner, Sandy, was a very nice, compassionate lady. She said the meals are all home cooking, which is good. The staff was very nice and caring.

Carington Manor is more geared towards people that have dementia. My mother didn't really fit in there because she doesn't have a dementia diagnosis, but it was my favorite of all the places that we toured. I really liked how they had their rooms set up. They were decorated differently. They had a butterfly room, a palm tree room, and a carousel room. It makes the residents feel it was more of a home rather than a nursing facility. They had a library area and a salon. The facility seemed pretty nice.

Carrington Manor is a 28-bed privately owned community. They dont have very many amenities so to speak, but they have an outdoor patio and a common room, but that's about it. I usually meet the administrator and the assistant whenever I go up there, and they're doing a good job. They also provide three meals a day plus snacks to the resident. They host a family dinner for the family members. The family members that I've met so far have been great. I have no complaints right now, although they don't have a big therapy department, but a lot of the folks that are in there are pretty far along in the dementia process and therapy won't help them. They do take my wife to her doctors' appointments if I can't. Our dogs get to visit in their front porch so she gets to see them. They also get her to walk around and sit in the common room instead of letting the residents lounge in their rooms all day. They also check on the patients every two hours to make sure they haven't soiled themselves, and they get them cleaned up right away if they did.
