My sister has moved into Ls Holistic Care. It's an assisted living place where for an extra charge per month, they will give her showers, get her in and out of bed, change her diapers, and everything else like that, stuff that a normal assisted living would not do. It's a private place. They're only limited to four people, and she was the fourth one; it was a goldmine. It was a Godsend for me. She's 100% cognitive, she just happens to be paralyzed on her left side. She doesn't have the strength to stand up and walk. Nobody wanted her, and I found an assisted living facility where for the extra money, they would get a registered nurse to take care of her, and she's been there for two-and-a-half weeks now. She's very happy. She gets along with the other people. They have games, they have barbecues, they'll take her to church if she wants to go to church, they take her in and out of bed and put her in a wheelchair. The entire situation has changed for the better 200% by my putting her in that place. She loves it. It's clean and very organized. The woman who runs it is a licensed registered nurse. She and her husband run it and they limit it to four patients. It's great. The service has been excellent. She's very happy there. It's very nice and very comfortable. They have plenty of things to keep them busy. She gets a shower every other day. Lavern, who runs the place, has been nothing but helpful. They've gone out of their way to accommodate my sister. It's a lovely place. They've got a great diet for her. It's expensive, but they've gone out of their way to accommodate her. The other tenants in the place are mobile, and she's not. She's different than the other tenants, that's why there's an additional charge. The nursing homes I called were outrageously expensive to start like $2000 a month more than what she is paying now. The facility is absolutely spotless and very nicely organized, and the way they have the furniture set up in the rooms for the residents. They allowed me to bring her bed and her desk there. She's very happy with the food, which makes me happy, too. They cook it for each person individually. It's not like a mass bucket of food. They're doing a good job. They have an exercise class every morning. I called the other night, and she said she's playing Monopoly, and last night, they played Scrabble. They have a group exercise for the people. As far as activities, she said every night, they have something. The people are friendly, and they are checking on her all the time.
