We're brand new here at Orchard Heights Gracious Retirement Living, but everybody is very nice. Everybody is hands-on care if you need it. The food is very good. We're happy here. We have a small apartment, but it's lovely. It has a living room, a kitchenette, and a bedroom. The dining area is lovely, too. Value for money is fair.

Orchard Heights Gracious Retirement Living is gorgeous. Everybody's nice and they have lots of activities. I was given a guided tour. They have a minibus for going shopping and to appointments. So, you don't need a car. They provide three meals a day. The facility is nice and clean. The apartments are lovely. You do not have a stove, but you have a kitchenette. You can bring in a coffee pot, a toaster, or anything you need for cooking if you care to cook, that does not have a flame.

Orchard Heights Gracious Retirement Living was beautiful. I love everything about it. The administration was marvelous. I liked the dining area and the freedom that they had to walk around. They have knitting, a little resident's kitchen, a movie theater, and a gym. It was two levels with an elevator. They have an onsite chef. My problem with it is the money, and I think my mom might need more skilled nursing. It's more independent living. You have to bring a microwave. They had a laundry facility. The prices weren't that bad either. I really like this place. The staff was very attentive, patient, caring, and people-oriented. He was a great guy. The menus were something fancy.

Orchard Heights Gracious Retirement Living was very nice. The studio apartment was $2,175, and everything was included. They serve three meals a day. There were a lot of activities going on, and the people were happy. They have a lunchroom and the food is good. They have housekeeping, a pool, a gym, and a church. The bus goes out once a week to take you wherever you want to go, to the doctor, on trips, and outings. The staff was excellent. It was a very clean facility.

Everything was great at Orchard Heights except the food wasn't quite as good as the other places. Everything was beautiful. You're up on a high hill and it's just a beautiful view. They have beautiful rooms. They have a chapel and a library. It was a very nice place, but it's further away than we wanted to be from our doctors. The staff was very pleasant, very accommodating, and very nice.

INCREDIBLY expensive. The ran out of food twice this week and gave my parents iceberg lettuce and a dinner roll as a “meal.” They pay over $4k to have the convenience of not needing to cook nutritious meals but this is absolutely appalling. The old management was wonderful, the faculty itself is nice; however I am looking at moving my parents out because this could be deemed abuse.

Orchard Heights was very nice, and we liked what we saw. The place was clean and well-maintained, and everybody seemed happy there. They had computers, a library, pool table, and you can do your laundry right there or they can do it for you. The staff also seemed nice, and the food was outstanding.

Orchard Heights Gracious Retirement Living is run by a couple which is what I was impressed with. It’s beautiful; everything is well decorated. The walls have beautiful artwork, and the rooms are beautifully done. They even have rooms on the lower floor. The dining area is beautiful and bright with cheerful colors, and it has candelabras from the ceiling. They have a lot of activities for the seniors to do. It’s a little bit further, but they do provide transportation. Most places had showers, but they had a bath tub. I was impressed with that. The outside is very well manicured, and they even have little spots where you can go on the yard. They have seats where you can sit on, and they have this fireplace where you can talk, so that was interesting, too.

Orchard Heights was not as fancy as some, but it’s clean, very nice, and looked bright and new, not dingy or dirty. The people seemed to be responsive.

I’ve been to Orchard Heights a number of times because we have friends there. It’s cheerful, airy and bright. The food is excellent. The staff is very friendly. Even the chef comes out and talks to you. But I can’t afford it. My friend’s room was specially built because he put a deposit on it before the building was finished so it wasn’t like the others. But I did see one of the efficiency rooms. They’re nice and bright. It was like a studio apartment.

We chose Orchard Heights because it’s a monthly rental so my relative can leave if she doesn't like it and it takes dogs. The staff is very good. The apartment is fairly small, but it is clean, and the facility is just one and a half year old. She likes the “our daily bread” activity, which is a prayer they do every morning. They have an activities director and do all kinds of activities.

Orchard Heights Gracious Retirement Living is a beautiful, new facility. It was clean and pretty. The dining area was really nice. They also provided the meals. Although they didn’t have full-time nurses on their staff, there is a company that they outsource that has an office inside the facility. You could still get your home health care, it would just be a separate price. But the price to live in this place was lower than in an assisted living. There’s a house manager who lives there to take care of problems 24/7. Their price is reasonable for the amenities that this place provides. It’s like living in a hotel, only your meals are included.

We just looked around and really liked Orchard Heights. They have everything. They have indoor activities, a fitness center, chair volleyball, field trips, shopping trips, and baseball trips, and they're going on the boat tour next week. They have transportation to and from doctor's appointments. They have three meals a day. It's been awesome.

My mother moved in at Orchard Heights, and our experience was very positive. She participates in all activities that are being offered in the facility. Her room is lovely with a balcony that overlooks a lake. It is a large studio unit, and it looks very nice. I would recommend them because they meet my mother's needs and also because it is affordable. Overall, it has been wonderful.

Orchard Heights was a wonderful place. It was very nice, and everything was covered for you. It was a place where you could go month to month. In other words, anytime if you felt like you wanted to leave, you could because it was a monthly place. However, it was quite expensive. It does cover everything -- I guess that was important too -- but the cost was more than my monthly income. The rooms were nice; they were quite good and comfortable. They took care of everything. Even if you don't have a car, they would take you where you needed to go to get things done. They provided all the meals, but the smallest unit was I thought about $3,500 a month. There were nice areas outside to sit. They had games and things like that going on. They had activities scheduled, but it was still more than what I could spend. The only other thing that was not good about it was that all of them were carpeted, and I was asthmatic so I couldn't live in a carpeted place. They said they would allow you to take the carpeting out and put a floor in, but it would have to be at your expense. In other words, they would have it done, but you had to pay to have it done. I was not able to taste the food because they were not open yet at that time. They supposedly had a top-notch chef there who would provide dinner. They provided lunch and breakfast as well. However, if you didn't feel well or you didn't feel like going into the dining room anytime, you could call ahead, and they would prepare something for you that you would be interested in having and send it to your unit for you. They were very helpful.

I am in Orchard Heights, and it is a wonderful community. They are very accommodating. We have 3 meals a day, and the food is excellent with a good variety. They have a swimming pool here. They have a movie theater on the premises. Our apartment is very nice with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and the pricing is moderate. It has about 1000 square feet of space. We have a garage, though not exactly near the apartment. They have a bus that will take us to various places around town. They have cards games, board games, and they have a variety of activities within the community. Maintenance is very good. It is a secure facility. At night, one can't get in unless you have a special pass. We are happy. I have given them a number of suggestions that they are considering at the moment -- like I asked for a double curve cut near my apartment so I can get a wheel chair down in my car. I suggest that they have a defibrillator in the dining room in case somebody needed a defibrillator. I also suggest that they screened in the porches in the community.
