My mother is in Palm Garden of Clearwater right now. It looks like she will be staying there permanently, and she seems to be enjoying it. She has a pretty high level of dementia, but from what she is telling us, she enjoys the staff, and they treat her well. As far as we're concerned, we've been treated very fairly by the staff and very nicely. We're getting daily updates by phone. We have not been able to go inside the building because of COVID, but we have done several window visits. The floors are nice and clean, and the room she is in looks clean, neat, and cared for. From what we can see in the hallways and even at the front door where we dropped things off for her, everything looked very nice and clean.

Food: My mother was given food that she doesn't eat...several times. She was told that they ran out of what she ordered and did provide her with other options. She waited 3 hours one day for Tylenol, when my father tried to get assistance everyone he went to stated that it wasn't their job. Medicines are not given at the same time everyday, but rather within a 3 hour time span. That's a long time to wait for a needed medication. One of the nurses turned her oxygen down below the level she needed one evening causing her to have breathing issues and panic attacks. I could go on. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

As of June 18, 2023 we could feel something coming on like a virus and many employees too. By June 20, we were very sick with sore throat congestion. Lungs were clearly rattling. None of the employees saw the signs. They just thought it was a cold. Patient is fine they said as the chest rattled. Patient ended up in the hospital with Covid. No observation abilities. Poor communication between departments.

The Palm Garden of Clearwater was fine. The staff was friendly. The facility was all on one level. It was clean and didn't have an odor or anything.

Hardworking care staff. COVID-19 adds a bit of challenges but staff meets it. Rehab and Care Services very good. Facilities clean and patient friendly. 👌

Admission to a care facility can be a stressful time for both patient and family. This facility provides exceptional care and services in all departments. From admissions (thanks Nick) to the discharge "celebration", my family member and her husband were both treated with caring and respect. Dining room experience and food were outstanding. Rehab was the best possible. Nursing assistants and nurses were caring and attentive. Five stars from the Bradbury family.
Will never go there! Unless I have a death wish!

My friend had to put her husband there for rehab since there was no other place. He did nothing but sleep for two days; seems that he was not getting his meds for a UTI, they said he was eating....he was not. He was getting no liquids. Fortunately, my friend and her nephew realized the problem, had the nurse call 911. The husband is in hospital, with severe infection and severe dehydration. One of the nurses got really ugly to us when we asked about waking him up to eat/drink. I would stay AWAY from this totally uncaring facility. Really

Palm Garden of Clearwater is everything I thought it would be and has lots of activities for everybody. The food and people are good. The rooms are OK. I share my room with another resident. The dining room is lovely.

My friend was in Palm Garden of Clearwater, and it was a lovely place with lovely people. She liked it, and she enjoyed herself there. It was kept well, clean and nice, and it looked beautiful outside and inside.

Maybe I am old school (I am only 53) but I feel this facility lacked compassionate and respect, except for the physical and occupational therapists. There is a lack of communication as well. As a new resident I expected someone to come into my mother's room and introduce themselves (ie. Social Services, shift nurse, CNA, ....) There was a slight language barrier as well, broken English, however some of the CNAs were sweet. I felt bad for my mother's roommate who was very hard of hearing and slightly confused. I did not see any dedication to repositioning to avoid bed bed sores or any encouragement to assist with feeding/meals. Overall, if his facility got 5 stars, I would be very afraid to see what the other facilities were like.

The only reason I am giving any stars at all is due to the nurses aids. They were wonderful with my grandmother. She was transferred here after a hospital stay and they assured us she could stay 45 days. After 3 days, she was moved, without my grandfather's approval after he left for the afternoon. They didn't even give him the courtesy of a phone call, I had to find out when I went to visit her and saw her in the hall, scared, begging to go back to her room.

Palm Garden is the name of the community we found. My wife is the one who made the decision and did all of the research. It is for my mother-in-law, and she seems to be very happy. She likes it. The staff working there is very nice. The rooms are OK. I don't want to live there, but her mother is happy so that what she cares about. It is adequate with two people in a room. The dining room is very nice. It is beautifully decorated with good food and wonderful service. It is really very nice. They play bingo, and they play all kinds of games. They have all kinds of activity depending on the ability of the person.

Palm Garden was a better facility for my mother. This place was more intimate. The room was closer to the main area, the lobby and the dining room. There’s just more people working there, and they are more attentive to their residents of all the other ones. The care is excellent Monday to Friday, it drops off on the weekend, but Mondays to Fridays it’s very good. They are active at bingo games and they provide some music off and on. They do a good job of keeping it maintained. They just repainted it and they just redid the floors. They were selected up there as The 2014 Home of the Year in that area (they have a big banner outside). I’m there two days a week. I’ve visited probably at least fifteen facilities because it wasn’t working for my mother in some of those places; they just don’t have enough people working. It really comes down to who's attending to the patients or residents. Now the other facilities, they don’t have adequate staff. Based on my mother’s needs and her feeling lonely, and having somebody there to show them love and care, I would say overall, Palm gardens does a very good job at that respect.

The facility is very clean. The staff is nice and caring most of the time. They have the patience required to work with the residents. Most of the residents seemed very happy. They have plenty of games to play and activities to do.
