This facility is for residents that are pretty much independent. The rooms are shared mostly. There are a few private rooms but either way you must share a bathroom. The food is hit or miss. While they follow a menu many times the person cooking doesn't know how to make the meals. For example, last night the wipe board said pork stew. What we got was pork chunks with a side of the ever popular peas,carrots,green beans mixture out of a can. Stew should be in a bowl, with gravy veggies,and potatoes. I asked for a sandwich which they will make for you gladly. While the staff is pleasant almost all of them speak Spanish, no English. They understand you but can't respond in English. It frustrates the older residents. They also advertise that they have a barber/salon which they no longer have. They also advertise that we have activities daily, we don't. However the activities board is full, which they do in cases a potential resident stops in for a tour. They also advertise a shuttle service to take residents shopping, they don't do that either. There are no phones in the rooms or call lights in case you need help. They also have staff that aren't formally trained to be med techs yet they do the meds. That's a big no no. Also they don't provide linens or towels for bathing.
