My mother moved into Sonata Boca Raton. It's a beautiful place. My mother's very happy there. It's a very small community. They know their people. My mother is a very finicky eater, and she loves the food. They cook everything homemade. They cater to what they like to eat, which was very important to us. My mom's room is very big. It's handicapped-accessible. They have night lights, so when the lights are out, you can see. My mom has control of her heat because she likes it warm. The maintenance there is fantastic. If she had any little issue with the shower, they were right there fixing it. The staff members are very caring and attentive. I couldn't be happier with the staff. They check on my mom all the time. If my mom needs somebody or she does press the button, they come right away to help her. She's been doing a lot of stuff there. It's very good value for the money.

My husband stayed at Sonata Boca Raton, and it suited our needs. He was in a very large and comfortable room. We furnished it ourselves, so it was homey. The food was very good. The staff was friendly and nice, but they did not have enough people. It appeared that every day, they had activities going on to cheer up and get the residents to be social with one another. There was always a party or a display of some kind or a sale of things. They had a very, very nice selection of books. My husband was a very avid reader and there were lots of books around that he could borrow.

I visited the assisted living at Sonata Boca Raton. It's mostly studio apartments, it's very intimate because it's small. There are only 60 residents. Everyone seems very nice, but it feels very small. The staff was very attentive. They have physical therapy, and they have said an area set up for entertainment with a TV, and board games. If you have someone who's an active social person, it might not be the best place, but they still have activities daily that look interesting. If you want somewhere that's nice and small and contained, then this is a good place. They have a patio and there are certain areas to walk, but it's on Yamato Road, which is a very busy road. And it's not enclosed.

My dad moved to the memory care at Sonata Boca Raton. It's very nice, but it lacks help. They dont have enough aides. The staff, excluding the aides, are good. Everything is new and it's just been remodeled. The rooms are very nice and large. They have two aides for 15 people. The food and dining areas are excellent. They have entertainment, lots of memory care things, they take them out, and there were belly dancers last week for the men's club. My father has 24-hour private duty aides, which is very expensive.

Sonata Boca Raton was fine, but it wasn't the best match for my aunt. We just met one person and looked around. It was the smallest of the ones that we looked at. The people there seemed to need more individual care, and for my aunt who is physically able, she didn't like that. The rooms were nice.

Sonata is the epitome of The definition of Assisted Living. Our father received amazing personalized care because Sonata goes the extra mile for their residents. We transferred our father after a bad experience at a different assisted living and the director, care givers, dining staff and activities staff went above and beyond to meet our dad’s needs. We could not be more grateful to everyone on the staff at Sonata! It is a warm and inviting environment and we never had to worry about our father. The attention given is great!

My mother is in the memory care unit. Fourteen residents. The aides are wonderful. She is happy and doing well. The caring atmosphere is obvious. You can visit anytime. The place is clean and the rooms are very large. The staff makes accommodations for each client. My mothers food is cut into small pieces and here fluids are thickened.. She even has thickened coffee. I have no issues with the place. I can rest assured that she is clean, well fed and looked after..

Our experience with Brookdale Boca Raton has been very good. Their security is very good, but they should have more activities for the residents. We chose this place for Mom because the whole facility is very nice, on one floor, includes trips outside every day, and has nice people. The food and the dining area are very nice. Their price is comparable to the other places. Mom has a very nice apartment, and the facility is very large. The staff are very nice people.

We chose Brookdale Boca Raton for my dad because it was very close to my parent's apartment, and dad could see his friends. For the most part, it's a good facility, but they are going through a lot of major changes. They were brought out by Brookdale Living, and the staff has changed quite a few times. I don’t know if my dad is getting the same care as before, but the people who had left really took good care of my father. With a larger company like this, they make it a lot harder to get information, and they are not calling me when they should. Dad also always complains with their food. They went through a series of different chefs, and they complained about the food, but we don’t know if it is because they are giving them meat since they have no teeth. He doesn’t like the majority of the meals there. He did lose a considerable amount of weight.

We did visit Brookdale Boca Raton which is a few miles from where they ended up. The facility is very nice. It is actually my first choice for my parents, but it wasn't my dad's first choice. It's just that my dad liked the other one better. It was bigger, and he saw a more active community there. But I would recommend this facility to others.

After 7 months in Brookdale Corporation's Homewood Boca we moved our folks as care services “sold” to us were never fulfilled. The attitude was to fill an empty room at any cost. From misdiagnosing the level of care my parents would need to not being able to provide the care promised, the experience was one of the worst I could have imagined. We were told Day 2 to get a private nurse which drove costs up 35% or more. We chose this facility because of the “Care that would be provided is the best around”. Wow….. Staffing levels were minimal and the staff providing watchful eyes on the residents were in reality the kitchen staff as well. They spent more time serving food and cleaning up than providing assistance to the residents during meals.

I went to Homewood at Boca Raton and it was a very nice facility. In fact if I decide to use one, it's the facility that I would go to. I just took a quick tour and it seemed very nice. The woman I talked to was very informative. She gave me a lot of information. I like the fact that it's a small facility. I also like the proximity to where I live and the fact that the facility is a little smaller than some of the others I saw. It would be easier for my mom to move around.

I visited Homewood because as soon as my parents sold their house, they would move in a facility. The place was not overly large, the size was just right. The rooms were small and fairly clean. The staff were good and friendly.

This facility is located in Boca Raton not far from major highways and shopping centers. This facility is absolutely beautiful and gives you the exclusive feeling. Nursing stations are hidden away so it really does not give you the nursing home feelings. I especially loved the dining room area and the way the staff members provided residents with a menu versus just bringing out preorder meals. The staff really looked like they catered to the residents and knew the needs of all their residents. I really enjoyed this facility.

Hey this is a great center that everyone should check out if in the area. The city around it is beautiful, the hospital is nearby less than 3 miles away. The people working there could not be nicer. My family toured this place for our grandfather but decided for him to live in Orlando instead due to being closer to family homes but if this area would have been right for us he would have been staying here. They offer assisted living, in home care, short term care respite, alzheimer's care, and hospice. The rate if I recall is 6230 per month for assisted living, in home care is mid 3000 range. It has patio courtyard, 24 hour security 1 and 2 bedrooms couples living together is fine. I would recommend this place for anyone who has an elder and wants them to be happy and living in a good condition that is not like a hospital but more like living at your own home. Beautiful scenery and nice nurses and staff.

While staying at Boca Raton, Florida at my friend's apartment, we had been to visit his Grand Parents at Homewood. My friend told me that his Grand Parents searched for an Assisted Living Facility for almost two months and they were fully satisfied with Homewood in their first visit itself. Me too got really impressed while we visited Homewood. There his Grand Parents were very comfortable in a nice apartment with all facilities and they had many friends of their age and taste. And there were a medical team who were always vigilent and they were monitoring all the inhabitants every day. It was a very nice place and I too wished to spend time there in my retired life.
