My mom is a resident in this facility and my dad was until he passed a couple of years ago. I visited many nursing homes before we decided on Regents and hands down since they became residents I have NEVER had any regrets. When COVID came upon this country it was a whirlwind for everyone including the staff here. At first I was concerned about miscommunications but then realized EVERYONE was trying to wrap their head around this. My mom and dad have always been happy there. The staff from the nurses to recreation to fiscal and social worker have always gone out of their way to make accomodations for myself and my parents. I owe them every debt of gratitude.

The rooms are basic and old fashioned, with a bed, dresser that is shared by two people, a tv, nightstand. And a little curtain between patients. The bathroom is basic at best with a toilet, sink and shower. The meals are very small and sparse. The nurses and CNA’s act as if helping patients/ residents like it’s a chore. Don’t like to get up to do anything. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

My dad was at Regents Park at Aventura. They left my dad in a hypoglycemic shock in the middle of the night. He managed to call me on his phone, but I couldn't even understand him. When I got there, I asked them why they didn't do anything. And they said, "Well, what do you want us to do?" They didn't even have a doctor on staff. Then they finally called 911. It's ridiculous because they didn't even bring him a packet of sugar or something. A waterbug about the size of my thumb crawled across his bed while we were waiting for the EMTs. The place was sort of depressing and dirty. They almost never took him for physical therapy. He was there for a little bit, and they took him only twice the entire time that he was there.

Thanks to this place...I lost my dad. This is where I believe he contracted Covid-19. He had noticeable symptoms too. There was zero communication from the "Rehab" center. My dad was moved into a couple of rooms without any explanatation. There was a physical therapist on his phone during sessions (if he had therapy) and some inattentive and inconsiderate nurses (always staying near the nurses' station) who needed a nicer bedside manner. My dad spent more time in bed, alone... at this facility, than in his subsequent hospital stay to treat covid. My dad took his last breath in his bed, at home... surrounded by his family who loved and respected him. I would reconsider placing your loved one in this facility.

My mother was 97. She was on the 3rd floor in Regents Park for 4 years with the help of our private nurse. On the 3rd floor nurses were nice n caring. In Dec. She was taken to the hospital for a week and when we returned her low n behold WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION OR NOTIFYING US they removed all her personal belongings from her room and moved them to another room. The management gave no reason for the move n refused to put her back in her room. She was confused n upset. She did not recognize anything. Being in an unfamiliar surrounding sent her into a tail spin. The nurses on the 2nd floor are lazy n rude. She was ignored. When her private nurse tried to address these issues with staff she was ignored as well when we tried to contact them they refused to discuss it with us. This facility has gone down hill since new management has come in. I would avoid this place at all cost.

My wife moved into Regents Park, and she's getting good care. I don't have complaints. The location is good, close to my home, and the grounds are kept very well. They have a nice garden. She's in a shared room. It's a well-run facility, and the CNAs and nurses are considerate.

Regents Park at Aventura is much better than all the other places I've been to. My mother has CNAs and nurses taking care of her. I liked that the place is clean and there were people to watch her, unlike other places with bad nurse-to-patient ratio. The food is OK, even though it's not the type of food that my mother is accustomed to.

It was very serene driving into Regents Park. The people at the desk had been great. It’s very pleasant outside where clients can go out in wheelchairs in the garden area, and it’s very clean. She was going into rehab once or twice a day, but I wish she could have gotten more.

To Everyone at Regents Park, You have created here an environment of healing andnatural beauty. We commend you for maintaining the high standard of care where both comfort and recovery are the goals. During my husband (our) stay here, we have seen that it is the norm for folks to go well beyond "doing their job." Indeed, we have encountered countless individuals who have stopped their actual work to offer a ride or other assistance or a kind, loving word to residents who needed it - including ourselves. We thank you all for all that you have done for both of us. While providing personal care in the room, multiple therapies, and dietary needs, you have listened to our concerns and helped us deal with our "issues." In short, everyone here has made passing through a difficult time a positive experience. We are so grateful to you all. We wish everyone continued success and growth. We will miss you. God bless you all, Marty and Susan

Our Dad's stay at Regents Park was a wonderful experience given the circumstances. He was in Rehab for a surgery and the nursing staff, wound care nurse, and management teams did everything they could to get him better and back home. My Dad called his nurses "his angels" and was just amazed at the level of care, skill, and support he was given every day he was there. Our family rested easier knowing he was safe, well cared for, and most of all respected as a person, not just as a patient. We looked at several other facilities and Regents Park was by far the best. We give it our highest recommendation. We will never forget the wonderful staff there. The Cohen Family

My aunt started out in this nursing home following a nervous breakdown that resulted in a short hospital stay. She is 87 years old and seemed to have a hard time dealing with aging. Her stay in Regents Park was for a few months. Her time spent there seemed to be pretty good. The staff there was very accommodating and seemed knowledgeable about what they were doing. My aunt seemed to be getting better and eventually was acting well enough to leave. Overall my family was satisfied with this facility. As of July 2011, the medicare rating for Regents Park At Aventura, was 3 stars, which is a better rating than 59% of nursing homes in Florida. Experience with other nursing homes has not been quite as good. My family has had issues in the past with other nursing homes such as neglect. This was not something that we could see going on here.

If I had to sum up what I thought of regent nursing home as a first impression, I would say class. The entry way is designed as a circle shaped valet like pull up. However I have never seen any valet. The first thing I saw was the front desk. The lady was very polite and had me sign in before I was allowed entry. I didn't mind because safety is important. Anyway, I thought the lobby was clean and nice. There is a garden that residents can access which I saw as well. Now, once you get to the rooms everything seems to lay on the cheap side. The beds are old fashioned. They are cranked in order to go up, which can't be good for staff. The beds do not raise very much at that. There are usually to residents to a room. The rooms are not personalized like ones home. There is just a bed, dresser, maybe TV, and curtain. The bathroom wasn't special. Bssic old sink and toilet. I guess I was just a little thrown of from the lavish appearance I wad greeted with. The facility was an overall ok experience. There is a large population of Jewish residents, as is the neighborhood. I enjoyed my visit there because it was a very quiet floor. The staff is knowledgeable about residents and their preferences, which is sometimes all that matters to loved ones, not the quality of furnishings, but the quality of life experienced.
