My mom moved in at Villa Maria Nursing & Rehab Community, Inc last February. She's doing as well as can be expected. She's getting around OK, and she seems to like it. The place seems to be clean and there's plenty of parking. It's an older building and there's no place you can go outside to sit in the courtyard or anything like that. Like most places right now, they're shorthanded, so they can't get to everything as promptly as they should. A lot of the staff is temporary. They call in from the agencies, so they're not familiar with the place and they're not familiar with what their jobs are. It gets very confusing. My mom liked the food when she first got there, but they changed the chef, so she's not fond of the food anymore. They try to push them to eat their dinner in the dining room. They offer bingo almost every day, but they don't offer a whole lot.
