I toured Complete Care at Groton Regency. They were very nice and helpful. The place was clean, and I liked the layout of it. I thought it would be a good place for me. Ava was wonderful. She explained everything and was easy to talk to. The room size was very sufficient, and I was pleased with it. You have your own private bathroom right inside your room, and I felt I could be very comfortable there.

I have a friend in the Groton Regency Center. It has quite a few levels of care. It reminds me of what you'd think of an old nursing home, although it does have some nice outdoor areas to sit or a place to watch TV. You know, you can. It has its own laundry room and patients can do their laundry, at least in the area where my friend is, and she has quite a bit of freedom. You know, she just checks. She can go out for a walk. She can go shopping, not necessarily with everybody, but she goes by herself, she likes to walk, although I don't know that there's sidewalks. I ate there with her once, it was good. It wasn't a huge amount, but it was good, they had a couple of choices. It didn't seem like a lot of people in her area went to eat in the kitchen or the dining room. I think the staff is plentiful and I think they're nice to the residents. The room seemed nice, it's like a hospital room.

I had the MISFORTUNE of staying there for a week, I am 59. non weight bearing broken leg. HORRIBLE. The food is vile, I couldn't even eat it because of how bad it was but I am a type 1 diabetic, they refused to count my carbs or feed me an ADA diet, even after my doctor sent them instructions. The staff is wonderful, that is where it ends. The PT person, Joanne is a control freak and her young assistant, occupational therapy is clueless. I am STRONG, my upper body, their idea of therapy was lifting 3 pound weights and treating me like a child. Joanne refused to allow me to have any input and kept telling me I was incorrect as to the doctor I was supposed to follow up with. As if this all wasn't bad enough? They decided to move an elderly woman who was dying into my room, she died, in my room a few hours later???? Why they did this I have no clue. The room that I was in didn't have a shower, I was washing up for a week, I left with yeast infections under my arms from not being clean. My room was only cleaned ONE time and not very good at that. So, if you love your family member choose another facility. They don't even have an ice machine.

Facility is outdated and in need of a refresh. Significantly understaffed in regards to PCA’s. Nurses are phenomenalMy father enjoys the activities but says the food could be better.

Groton Regency Center has multiple levels of care. They have a nursing home, a mid level, and then assisted living. You go in the front door, and there’s a security individual there to check you in. They did a good job. The only problem is they’re very typical of some of the nursing homes that I’ve seen because a lot of people were sitting in either wheelchairs or chairs out in the hallways, and that drives me crazy.

Groton Regency is by far one of the best facilities in the area. There is a "state of the art gym", kind, caring and respectful staff. (I recently discivered that several staff members trust the care so much that they have relatives living there) that's a testament in itself.

My uncle was staying there before he passed as well as a great aunt. The center was very clean and the staff was very warm friendly, and well trained. Everyone who stayed there seem very happy and pleased with the service. All rooms were clean and had a great view in each room. It was also very easy to go about the center be it the rec room or the library. The dinning experience was amazing because they served fresh food and had peaceful music playing in the background. Overall the center gave me the feeling that my family member were being well taken care of and that if any other family or friends needed to be placed somewhere I would recommend the Groton Regency Center and I felt nothing negative at all about the center. It was somewhere that I could trust with the well being of others.
