Golden Pond always puts the welfare of their residents first. The GP response to the COVID-19 outbreak has been exemplary, with excellent communication to families. The caregivers have made my mother’s experience much brighter, even in these times.

Yesterday, we visited Golden Pond Retirement Community. It is multi-level. I believe they have independent living, assisted living, and memory care. There are two facilities. One runs into another in the hallway, but they are separate as far as assisted living and independent living. I loved the two-bedroom suite. It had two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a living room, and a full kitchen. It was awesome. There's a dining room. And the way they're pricing is because it has the full cooking facilities in each unit, you can opt to rent the space without a meal plan included, or you can pay for meals on an as-needed basis. So that was nice. It was a very new facility. It looks gorgeous. It had a lot of existing large trees and established landscaping. It was beautiful inside and out. The residents were adorable, friendly, and welcoming. It was lunchtime and it smelled delicious. The outside areas included fountains, and ponds, for sitting and enjoying the outdoors. They had a little movie theater, and the staff were all very friendly. They are remodeling the independent care unit. The one we viewed was the only one so far that's been remodeled, and it was beautiful. The one downfall we're finding, my husband is a double amputee and uses a wheelchair in the mornings and evenings, but especially in the morning, getting ready and shaving and showering and all that. The bathrooms technically were probably wheelchair accessible. But here at home, when we had this bathroom built, we had a roll under the sink to where my husband can stay in his wheelchair and roll right up to the sink and shave, and then take care of his morning needs. So far, we haven't found a place that would accommodate that part of his routine.

Angela and the entire staff took were wonderful to our father, getting him situated and then taking great care. He had a newly remodeled room and it was done very tastefully. He enjoyed the staff and residents.

My mother moved into Golden Pond Retirement Center. It's nicely appointed and has friendly staff. Her room was recently renovated. The activities are pretty standard and include exercises and happy hours. Pets can be brought in but cannot stay there. The staff has been very helpful, and the food is good. Mother is happy, and she loves the Friday happy hour from 4-5 pm where entertainment comes.

I visited Golden Pond, it's really nice. It's probably the best place out there. The people were accommodating, they had lunch for us, and it was nice. My mom loved it, but my dad refused to live in an assisted living environment. The rooms were a nice size, but it didn't have a walkout to your own balcony.

Golden Pond was beautiful. It was like going to The Broadmoor. It's gorgeous. It was just beyond our means. They had nice people and nice facility. We didn't get to see the rooms, but it was a lovely tour. They had lovely people. If I win the lottery, that's where I want to go. We entered the lobby and one of their staff gave us a brief tour.

Golden Pond had a beautiful view and was an expensive but beautiful facility. The rooms had good layouts, full kitchens, and new carpet, new everything. The staff was very nice. They had a wide variety of activities, like cocktail hours and cookies, card playing, and a lot of things they transportationed residents to do. We did not have food, but it was a lovely dining area.

Golden Pond was mom's choice. I think she has friends that are already there I think it's clean. The rooms are good.

The building is just gorgeous. It's three stories, I believe, and looks out across Golden, Colorado. Around the facility are a number of walking paths, benches, and ponds to entertain the residents. Once I went inside, I was just amazed at how pretty it was. Everything was kept very clean, and all the residents looked happy. The staff are pleasant, and it seems like a really nice place to live, if expensive. I also noticed that residents are allowed to have pets, and there's one dog in particular that is allowed to roam throughout the facility. In addition, all the furnishing are quite lovely. Everything is dark wood, with plush chairs and couches. There are fireplaces, a library, and many other options for residents to enjoy. On top of that, the staff seem great about getting the seniors active. There are a number of activities for them to choose from, if they are up to it. It seems like a great place!

This is a beautiful facility near the foothills and mountains in Golden that I know because I had a hospice patient there. It's fairly new and offers both assisted living and independent living but no memory care. It looks like a hotel but with lots of homey touches--not institutional at all. And the apartments are nice, spacious, with common areas throughout the building to relax and socialize. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the food is good, and the activities schedule is seems good and full. One day while I was visiting, there was someone in the main lobby reading to the residents and interacting with them. The people who do best there are fairly independent with high cognitive functioning.
