My husband is a resident of Arvada Health Center. Like the director said, it's not the shiniest penny on the block and the dining room is kind of shabby. But the care is not bad at all. He has been in a few other communities, and they kept on dropping him. He doesn't have any problem with them, like when he's fallen he's not all beat up. If he needs to go to the bathroom they come right away; the care is actually good. We visit him once or twice a week, and it looks like they provide pretty good care. The staff is good, they come right away when you need them, and they treat him and us well. However, the food is bland. They have some activities for the residents, but nothing great. It's just a small, poor nursing home. They only have 150 beds and no amenities. But the staff doesn't abuse people, they're right there when you need them, and that's important. They respond promptly, they bathe them all the time, and change their beds every day. I have never seen cockroaches or mice in there. They actually have good reviews. The board came in and gave them a big plaque for caregiving on the wall that says they're very clean. The receptionist smiles all the time, and it makes you feel welcome when you come in. They're always very friendly to us. They're also cheaper than most of the other places. I don't think in Colorado you'd find anything for $7,200 a month. It's an old building on an old ranch, and the rooms are very tiny.

While rooms were maintained, my mothers clothes disappeared. Additionally, I was never informed what the fee was and was told my mother would be on medicaid and not to worry. I was not explained all the ends and outs and was surprised when I received a $23K bill! I prpmptly paid it and removed my mom because I could not afford to pay that kind of price! I will never return, as it's obvious this facility is all about $.

Do not choose this nursing home for your loved one. There is no van to take the residents out on outings. The only way the resident will go out is if they have a doctors appointment or family can take them despite the advertisement that they have a van that takes them around, they’re always short staffed and the staff does not communicate with the family. If it incident happened, they don’t call you that day. They will call you days later. The place is not clean they run out of linen during the day so you have to wait for towels and linen. There is always staffing issues. They have gone through several Director of nurses as well as directors . this place is not open to constructive criticism. This is not the place for your loved one.

Arvada Care & Rehabilitation Center was very dated and wasn't well-organized. It didn't seem like it was very clean either. They have skilled nursing, but all of their rooms are shared rooms. None of them are private. So, each room has two residents, and they share a bathroom with four residents in total. That was a concern for us, as we wanted a private room. They didn't even really know how much it was to be there per day. They had to go and find the information. The tour didn't really feel like they were staffed appropriately, because they weren't really prepared to answer a lot of our questions about the rates and all of that.

The care at Arvada Care and Rehabilitation Center was adequate, but my wife didn't care for the food. The place was clean and adequate. They have adequate activities considering the condition of their residents.

I can't say enough good things about this facility. I saw firsthand the genuine caring for each resident. The place was clean. The care was prompt and compassionate. The food was great with many choices for individual tastes. The therapy, both occupational and physical, were outstanding. The entire staff made me feel so much at home it brought a tinge of sadness when I got released to my beloved home in the mountains! Thank You for all you did and continue to do!

My dad is in Arvada Health Center right now. It’s an older facility, so it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that newer places do, but it’s kept fairly clean. The rooms are small, and they don’t have a lot of parking, but the staff is attentive. I’ve been pleased.

The room at Arvada Health Center was really nice, and the director was super cool and nice. The place didn't smell at all. The room's setup was good, and it had the bathroom there. They have days that they take them out shopping and Bingo.

My wife is in Arvada Care and Rehabilitation Center. They have pretty friendly employees. It is an older facility, and they have one bathroom for four people, so it does not work too good. She has been there for over a month now. The service is average.
