My mother is in Carriage Care, and they are doing a beautiful job. The care is round the clock. She has a huge, beautiful, private room. They gave her a hospital bed. They'd give her anything she wants. She has cable TV in her room, and because they are a very small facility, they are not on a rigid, structured schedule, so that they can wake up and eat at anytime they would like to. They were feeding dinner too early for my mother, so she said, "I'd like to eat later", and they do that. The woman who runs it is there all the time and she will give choices for the meals. My mother is a fall risk -- she walks with a walker -- and they do not let her go anywhere unassisted. I can't say enough about them. My mother's room is bigger than any bedroom I have in my house. It is fully furnished and has got glass patio doors to the outside, which she can't open. Every window and door is electronically protected. It has got a fireplace with a mantle, mirrors on top, and an overhead ceiling fan. It is just gorgeous. They only have 5 residents, and there is a woman who comes in a few times a week, who is the activities worker, and she works one on one with my mother. She sits and talks with her, and she does exercises. There is a woman who comes in and plays the piano and entertains them. They play Bingo once in a while. They take my mom out walking everyday on the patio, so she gets her exercise. The grounds are immaculate. They are constantly cleaning and upgrading, and they are in the process of putting a solar roof on right now. They take pride in the home.
