Evergreen Chateau in Van Nuys is a very good facility in my opinion, the staff is so friendly, the residents gets a AAA treatment for the amount of money they pay, the doctor comes to the facility twice a month and really examine the residents, I know for fact that the manager helps the low income people to stay in the facility , they help my grandma, eveytime I visit they always have an activity , food is good , I have eaten there , so I know what I am taking about , they have happy hour 2x a week , which my grandma talks about and looks forward to every week , all in all I think Evergreen is the very good , for a building that old , it does not smell , it's very clean , not only the place but the residents too! I highly recommend this place, don't look at it from the outside, because it is an old building, come inside and you'll see, I wl recommend this place to everyone

We had a horrible experience here. Most residents just wander around, scared my mom she spent her days locked in her room. When I got here from this place she was bleeding and they did nothing about it. Also, they took money from her and blamed me or anyone but themselves, when mom found out, she started bleeding and ended up have stage 3 cancer from lack of care!

The physical therapists were wonderful with my grandma and really helped her get back to normal. Everyone on staff seemed helpful and friendly. The facilities were good but not great. The atmosphere was alright, there was lots of light because of an open courtyard in the center of the building and I think that made a big difference. The TVs in the room were tiny and hard to watch. The food was hit and miss, but overall not bad. It was also nice that they had alternatives available. Though I never saw them it seemed like they had a lot of activities available to residents. And my grandma especially enjoyed an outing to Norms restaurant which is right down the street. Overall my family was pleased with the treatment my grandma received. We thought that it was the best possible place for my grandma to recuperate. I would recommend it to others.

Nice facility, caring group of peolpe. Nice back yard, with lots of outside room for family members to walk around
