Grand Valley looks a little crowded and it's kind of fast-paced. The staff does what they can. The rooms are all shared. The food was pretty decent. They have a list of activities but I don't see them really pursuing all of it. My mother is there mainly for physical and occupational therapy.

My mom hated this place. Was referred by Kaiser and it only gets 1 star for being clean. She couldn't get any rest as the other guest were screaming and hollering for help up and down the halls. She wouldn't eat the food and the nurses didn't try and help her eat at all. We got her out after 20 days on the 16th of June and now this Facility is trying to get us to pay for the remainder of June (an extra 14 days she wasn't even there) it gets WORSE, two days after we moved her to a Board & Care that they recommended she passed away. We had to prepay $2,500 to move her in & the owner said she would refund us $2,200. Problem is she wrote a check on a CLOSED ACCOUNT. We had to chase her down for 12 days to get the CASH refund. Never let your loved one go here. You will not be happy with the experience.

My brother is at Grand Valley Manor. It's a good facility with lots of professional staff. The facility is very clean and organized. He likes the food there, and they do have the nutritional value count for him. They are aware of his medical needs and are conscious about it. They also do keep a good record of the personality and the patient's temperaments. They do get the patients up, and they don't just leave them in the corner sitting alone. I'm impressed with them.
