Brookdale South Bay was clean and looked organized. The people seemed friendly. The rooms seemed nice, as far as the studio and the one-bedroom that I saw. The restaurant side of it looked good. I only met the one lady who showed me around and she was very nice. They had a game room and a cafeteria.

The tour we had at Brookdale South Bay went very well. The facility was very nice. We liked that my mom could have her own room, the staff being pretty professional, and the fact that the meals were served and that they're able to eat downstairs in a community environment. They gave us some snacks during the tour, too. The place was clean. The area was nice. They provide transportation to medical appointments, do arts and crafts, have a movie theater, an exercise room, a hair salon, and a little sports bar area if you want to watch football/entertainment. It was nice.

Brookdale South Bay was very nice. Everyone was very nice. We got to meet some of the people who lived there, and they seemed very friendly. We liked the fact that after lunchtime they had a gametime where people came out and played board games together. The people we met were very nice. When we were there, we had lunch. The food was good. There were different items you could choose from, and the staff members there were very friendly. The layout was fine. The rooms were a little bit small, but I think you could make it work. Everything was very clean but obviously not brand new. You could tell that it was an old building, but it was still kept up very nicely. They all have patios. There was a very nice garden with a koi pond. It was a beautiful garden.

Everything was nice at Brookdale South Bay, but it was a little bit too far out of range of where my dad wanted to go. We did see the room, and it looked pretty nice. The staff members seemed friendly enough. They have activities. They had a nice seating room, game room, living room and lobby area. The food was very appealing, varied and interesting. The director was very friendly.'

My Mother lives there. Overall it is a great facility. Most employees are wonderful. It is very disappointing that two years in a row they have raised the rent over 6% each year. This doesn't make sense when inflation is around 2%.

We've been living in Brookdale for six years now. Most of the staff are good people. We have a two-room apartment with a living room and two baths. They raise the rent every year. We don't participate in much; my wife goes to bingo, and I take a walk occasionally. There are around 145 people here. The dining area is set up nicely with tablecloths.

Brookdale South Bay was very nice, large, beautiful, and lovely but too expensive and too big for my mom. She doesn't do well with elevators and gets lost from roaming around. It's the loveliest place I visited, but it won't be good for our needs.

My mom is staying in Brookdale South Bay. It is conveniently located near my home, so visiting my mother is easy and somewhat effortless to do a couple times a week. It has a friendly, nice, and lively atmosphere. It has a nice, quality environment. I felt it was a really good value for the level of quality in terms of the facility, the people, the staffing, and the room. We have a great room and all the services that my mother needs for now. It is an independent living senior community, but they have personalized living services to assist with ADLs. There are many elderly residents there that have outside nursing care from a couple of companies that Brookdale either recommends or contracts with, but they're not part of Brookdale. It's independent contractors who are providing various levels of assistance or nursing to some of the residents.

The staff of Brookdale South Bay that showed us around answered all of our questions. It was a very maintained and well-layed-out facility. The location and cost made us decide not to go there. In one visit, we decided it’s not what we wanted.

Brookdale South Bay is very nice. After my visit, they actually came out to visit me which I thought was nice. I had come to visit when they were having a meal, and I didn't want to cause anybody to have to leave their meal to see the room, so I opted not to see the room. The meal was served, they were finishing up, and I'm sure the food is fine. It is not too big, and I think it has four to a table which is nice. I didn't see anything other than that, but I know they have a lot of activities because they sent me a list of some of the things they do. They mentioned things like bingo, and they have people that come over to entertain. I like the staff; I thought they were really nice, and they seem to be caring. I wasn't interested in Brookdale because it was too expensive. I wouldn't be able to afford it myself. I think for the price it is overcharging. For the price you are paying, it seems like that you can get more benefits like a larger room. I did like it because it is clean, and it looked OK. I think they need more outdoor things or provide a lot of nature like walking trails were people would want to go outside. There was very little parking, and it was right in the middle of a very busy intersection.

I made a brief visit to Pacific Inn. I did not like it. I happened to visit it on a very hot day and it was extremely warm for me walking around in the halls. The staff was OK. The rooms looked OK, but they were not outstanding. The environment and the dining area were pleasant.

I have a friend at Pacific Inn, and I am very quite happy with the facility. The facility is very clean, and my friend's room is very nice. A cleaning lady comes in once a week and cleans the whole apartment. Their dining room is also very nice. The staff are very nice people.

I went to visit Pacific Inn because it was not that far from my home and someone recommended it. I liked the location and it was extremely clean. The staff and the residents seemed upbeat. They had a lot of activities. The dining room was very nice and very well-maintained. It was my number one choice if I moved my mother.

Pacific inn was a very nice place. I would love to live there myself. It was a nicely decorated place. The rooms were nice and clean. But I thought they were very expensive.

I moved my mother to this place about a year ago. Beforehand, she was living at home alone, and she wasn't that much of a social person. It's amazing what I've seen since she's been at this fine senior living establishment. The facilities are almost spotless, and the staff is always making sure it is a germ-free environment. She's always out at different activities. She loved the trip to Griffith Park a few weeks back. She has great neighbors and friends. The staff is there for her whenever she needs them, and the staff is so attentive to all her needs. The food as also amazing and very healthy. You won't find a better place in the Santa Clarita Valley. She's very happy here. I'm so thankful that such a place like this existed so close to my home.

The Pacific Inn is an extremely nice facility. It is most definitely not like any other retirement or nursing home - and it is right on the beach in a great location. The gazebo out back was a very relaxing spot to sit with my client. They also had a very nice client entertainment room, where the elderly sat to play crads, enjoy the view, and talk. It was nothing like a nursing home - bur more like an apartment complex on the beach where the elderly could ask for help doing things if they needed; such as chores and daily living routines, etc. The client seemed very happy with where she was staying, and with no complaints as to the staff or the facility itself. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in the Torrence / LA area who is looking for a retirement community for their elderly family member.
