I visited this facility

The one that I liked was the Sun City Gardens. It's very clean and quiet. I got to meet a few people. They have a very nice staff. The living spaces are very nice, very spacious, very clean, and very safe. They have everything you need including housekeeping and stuff if you need it. They have laundry facilities. They have a restaurant, which is very nice. They also have a library. Everybody that was in the lobby said it was a very good facility.

We toured Sun City Gardens. I thought it was a pretty nice setup. It was clean. I think it offered a lot of good things like the meals and activities, and stuff like that. It's a nice place. We looked at the studio and the one-bedroom, and they're both nice, really spacious. I like them, but she's not ready for it yet. They had all the conveniences that a person would need. It has a nice dining room. We didn't eat there, but I'm sure the food is good. We only met the person who showed us around the place. He seemed to be knowledgeable in everything. He was very helpful.

I went to Sun City Gardens. I chose Sun City because of the location, and the facility is very nice. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. We had lunch, it was very good, very well prepared, and well served. They offer a salon, a gym, and transportation.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My husband moved to Sun City Gardens. It was very nice and seemed very peaceful. Everything is clean. There are some exceptional staff members. There are lots of activities. He's not able to participate yet because he still can't see, but they have beach ball, volleyball, bingo, and outings. The dining area is good.

Provider Response

Thank you Pamela for your positive recommendation of Sun City Gardens! Our team is passionate about providing the best possible experience for all of our residents and their family members, and we are so glad to have achieved that today.

My brother is in Sun City Gardens. It's very clean, very nice. Everyone is cordial. People are well taken care of. Their rooms are cleaned once a week and beds are changed. Toilets clean, bathtub clean. It's Perfect, and they have meals provided for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff is very caring, very nice. Just warm and caring. The food is adequate. It's not a good menu, as most of the places are for seniors, but it's adequate. They have a theater, a movie night, and a movie in the afternoon. They have church services. They have a hair salon, barber, and activities that come in. People come in for entertainment. They have parties on all the holidays, bingo, pool, swimming pool, and a hot tub.

We are choosing Sun City Gardens because of the convenience of the location. We are only 6 minutes away, which is ideal. We also have a little bit of history with them. My husband's mother did respite care there; she has dementia. She has to go to get her hair done there every week, so we know one of the staff members. My sister, who's going to be moving there, took volunteer work there about 5 years ago too, so she's had a little bit of exposure. We like the appeal of the garden area. They have an expansive garden area with pathways, and they have a pool. She loves the idea that they have activities throughout the day, I think they have activities three times a day, some days it is 4. They have a theater that will be opening up soon. They have community dining, so she'll get to meet a lot of people there. Residents can also have their own pets. She likes the idea of a private room with her own furniture. She is starting with independent living and a caregiver. There are two dining areas. One in the building that she will be staying in. It's a smaller one, but very adequate dining area. Then there's an expansive dining area right off the main lobby, but they're not offering meals because of the COVID restrictions.

Sun City Gardens was a very nice place. The staff was neat and well dressed, and some were in uniforms. There were a lot of residents in wheelchairs and walkers, and they were well attended to. I saw a room with a bath, a built-in closet, and a small refrigerator. I also saw a 1-bedroom and a 2-bedroom apartment, which had more elaborate kitchens. They had great security at that place.

Sun City Gardens is very positive. The people were decent, helpful, and of good quality. Everyone was very good, and my uncle loves it there. The rooms were spacious, clean, and exactly what he needed. They have exercise rooms and a large movie theater room where they watch movies. They got a really nice facility for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I have eaten there too, and the food is really unbelievable; it’s the best I have ever seen. I am sure all people that live there like it.

My mom has been living at Sun City Gardens for 11 years. It is very good. The staff is wonderful and treat her very well. I don't have any complaints whatsoever. The food is good. I’ve eaten there a number of times when I go down to visit. They do bingo, play cards, and go on little excursions. At Christmas, they went to see Christmas lights.

I like Sun City Gardens. The facility is very nice and my father is there. He has got a large room and a large bedroom overlooking a park which has a waterfall which he can hear. He goes down to meals; lunch, and dinner. The food is great and he has met some people there. He plays volleyball and he is doing really, really well. It's also nice because they got veterans there that my father can talk to.

Last week, I checked my grandparents into Sun City Gardens. What I like best about this facility is that it is very near. Also my grandparents are residents in Canyon Lake, CA, so it is in proximity to their pastor and friends. It also came recommended by one of their friends. In terms of ambience, they have a very welcoming lobby. The main dining room/activity room is right in the front. If you walk through that open and airy dining room, you immediately would get in a very, very large courtyard. It wings on all four sides to the different parts of the facility, where you get a park-like feel. The assisted living wing is very nice. With regards to accommodations, the particular studio apartment that my grandparents ended up moving into was freshly painted and it had nice new carpeting. It looks like an apartment that you would want to rent.

I really like Sun City Gardens. The place is beautiful. The room and the studio were both very nice. The studio has a nice-sized room and I could fit what I have now. They don't have a kitchen, just a little kitchenette because they cook the meals for the residents. I have eaten there and the food is delicious. The people there are friendly. They have a bus that takes the residents out to different places like going to the doctor and restaurants.
