Hearing about Seaport 17th from 1 of the best Hospitals, in Santa Monica,Ca. UCLA. After having a hip replacement. I wanted the best care and rehabilitation possible. @ Seaport 17th, not only did i recieve the best therapy. The staff and activities worked well for my moral. In general the nurses are quick to respond to my needs & the CNAs kept my hygiene and room impeccably clean. There's a good healthy energy vibe that most of the staff members have. The Assistant Director is a kind and caring Man. I also appreciated Patricia Rose, a volunteer @ Seaport 17 for the recommendation. I recieved everything she promised and more. Very well satisfied with Seaport 17th. I give it an overall rating of well over 4 stars.

Horrible facility. There is nobody that is accountable for the welfare of the residents. Their clothes and diapers often disappeared. Patients are left alone and unattended, I witness one patient hit the floor because the cna was busy. My mother suffered a hip fractured there and nobody knew how it happened. Do not put your loved ones in that facility. Employees don't stay to work long and its a revolving door. Be aware!

My mother was a patient at the Seaport 17th and I don’t recommend this facility to anyone. This place smells. When you walk on the hallway, watch your steps. There are feces on the floor. One time I step on one and it was bad. I had to wash my shoes. The owner goal is only to make profit; therefore they don’t have enough staff. The poor CNA’s have to rush from one patient to another. I feel sorry for the hard working CNAs. The patients have to wait a long time to go to the bathroom and sometimes the patient’s sit on their feces for hours before they change their diaper. Activities are so boring that most patients prefer to sit in the hallway than going to the activity room.

Overall the care at Seaport was pretty good. They kept the rooms very clean, and they washed the patients twice a week. The food wasn’t horrible, but my mom was super picky at that point. There was a time when patients needed an attendant, and they weren’t there right away. The people were friendly, courteous, and caring and treated the residents with respect. I talked to the residents, and they liked it there.

I had friendly experiences with the staff at Seaport. The facilities were nice and there is a central courtyard with a koi pond and turtles. Parking can be a challenge for visitors, of course parking in Santa Monica is always a challenge. I found the administrator and staff to be very accommodating.

I felt this facility was just acceptable. The staff was about average. The facility itself was in a nice area and located close to a good hospital. There was a patio and a recreational room that my family member liked to relax in. The activities were nice and quite thoughtful. Many people visited the facility to entertain the people staying there. I think that it could have used a remodel. The rooms were big but a bit dated. I also think that they were a bit too dark. Many people seemed to be wandering the halls and seated about without anything to do. The nursing care was attentive but not especially warm. My family member complained about the lack of friendliness some of the nurses exhibited. We overlooked this because the facility was clean and the doctor's instructions were carried out correctly. Parking was very difficult and we sometimes had to walk two blocks for a visit.
