My father-in-law is currently in Villa Marin, and it was very positive and very nice. I think it's pretty well run. The people are extremely nice and extremely helpful. The food is great; we've had dinner there several times before the pandemic. He's been there for a couple of years. So before the pandemic, we would go and have dinner there every once in a while with them, and food was always great. It's a different experience because it's independent, but they have good activities. He's very, very involved in the social activities there. They have movie nights and sometimes they have dances and he likes that. He's been involved in the resident advisory boards. It's pretty darn expensive; you have to buy in. It's not just paying a monthly rent. It's like a condo, so you have to come up with a lot of money upfront and then pay a monthly fee also. It's a nice place though.

If you have an issue with this facility good luck getting it resolved. The nurses in the skilled nursing facility are horrible. The CEO avoids issues when contacted. Lots of questions were left unanswered. Looks nice on the outside but would not recommend for my loved one.

Villa Marin has been a Godsend to my family member who was in dire straits before moving into the skilled nursing unit. Since her transfer there, she has had exemplary care by the nursing staff. I realize how difficult it can be to work in a skilled nursing facility and be pressed with the demands of so many patients, but the staff, all of them, jump through hoops to provide the best care possible. My family member is happy and feels her move there actually saved her life. If you are considering a move to a skilled nursing facility, do not hesitate to visit Villa Marin as a choice for care. You will never find the perfect care Center, but this place will be the closest you'll ever get.

My mom has been at Villa Marin for 5 years now. It feels like a condominium complex or an apartment complex. She has a regular apartment like a one-bedroom with a den, two bathrooms, and a kitchen. They have a dining room, and they provide meals. They have independent living, and then they also have skilled nursing care. They have a full range of social activities. They have classes, social gatherings, outings, and a bus service that goes shopping. As assisted living, they are a little disorganized in their information of how you access a lot of these things.

Villa Marin Retirement Residence wants a million dollars in your bank, and that’s a little bit out of my reach, but it is awesome. You name it, it has it, like tennis courts, swimming pools, everything. It’s high up on a hill and like a real country club. The gorgeous rooms were like two studios made into a living room and one-bedroom. It was a rental and I could afford it but not the million dollars in your checking account part.

After many years of a 5 star opinion of the whole place, I had to comment on an unforgivable incident where a 95year old hospice resident patient was denied a bed for an overnight stay because it was a holiday and "some paperwork" was missing. Told in the morning that this would be "no problem." But when night came, the duty nurse's pleas on the phone with the managing nurse, empty beds, and common sense, she was turned away. The manager "nurse" was apparently willing to leave the old lady sitting in a wheelchair in the hall all night. Reviewing the very expensive contract with Villa Marin for residents' medical care, they should lawyer up if this is the way it is gonna be honored - and perhaps review the mission statement and one employee's attitude.

I found a place for myself at Villa Marin. The staff is very good, and the food is good as well. The facility is very well kept and they have a very high standard.

Villa Marin was great but you need a buy in. It’s up on a hill. The staff seemed very nice. They have a lot of activities and they have a pool and a restaurant.

Villa Marin Retirement Residence is gorgeous and I like their philosophy. In fact, I'm going back again there on Friday to have lunch with my Aunt who lives there and talk to the marketing people. They have an option for you to buy the unit if you like. They have studio, condo, single bedroom, and double bedroom and my Aunt is living in a 1600 square foot condo which she bought and is deeded to her. They have full meals. They have an extended care facility. When someone fell on my Aunt and she broke her hip, she was treated in their extended care and when she gets well, they will bring her back to her condo. The staff is very friendly and ongoing. They know everybody. They come once a week to do the cleaning, change the sheets and help with the laundry and housekeeping. It is really a full service place. The grounds are beautiful. They have a very nice garden area at the back. The residents can have a plot to plant if they want to. They have sitting areas outside. They have a beautiful library. They have all kinds of activities with wine tasting one night a week. They have transportation. It is very nicely managed and everybody is positive.

I thought over all both of the facilities were well kept and had very well mannered employees. One thing I did not like about the facilities was the temperature. In both facilities the temperature seemed to be way too low. From my experience with elderly they overall seem to enjoy mild temperatures. My grandmother commented on it twice actually. The facilities both had extremely good lighting which I thought of as a positive because my nanas eyes are not as good as the used to be. I really expected the food to be sub par but I was pleasantly surprised to find that my relatives would be well fed. Of course the complaint you would get most, which I have as well, is the prices of these facilities are outrageous. For my great grandfather the place cost 4 thousand a month. I think if they could be more economical it would benefit them and bring in more customers.

Villa Marin was the perfect choice for my mother in law. Her unit is small but adequate for her needs as there is so much going on in the community. When she fell and broke her hip she was able to convalesce in the downstairs wing which allowed her to feel at home and I believe allowed her to heal more quickly. As she got more mobile she was able to visit her condo so she always felt at home. Her unit has a full kitchen and she entertains often. The one thing I did not like was the decor felt a bit dated but they are currently updating and my mother in laws floor just got new carpet and paint. Now I think it is absolutely lovely.

Clean environment that is esthetically pleasing. Friendly staff that is passionate. Dining area is robust, has a good variety and food is above average. Very quiet the majority of the time except when it is meal time or social mixers. Their unit is decently sized, the kitchen is a bit small but manageable. Open living room and 2 bathrooms located on opposite sides of the unit. Overall size is adequate for two people, there is plenty of heating and lighting. When my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer, their medical center is top notch. They accommodated all of her needs. If I have to live in a retirement facility, I would look here first.
