I was a patient for over a month (most stays are much shorter) so I really got to know the place inside and out. Conscientious nurses and aides, an excellent skilled rehabilitation department, and facility doctors who very skilled doctors and empathic people. Lots of other pluses like monthly podiatrist ( if needed) and a beauty salon. I would not hesitate to send a family member there. They are good folk and would not hesitate to put a family member there. They will be in good hands.

hubby was a rehab resident for several months. long after, i needed specific copies of records. Charles is a super human being who not only obtained what I required but hand- delivered same. I am soo impressed with his professionalism and caring attitude toward our needs.

The staff is rude. You ring your bell and it takes forever for someone to help you. They do not have enough staff to care for patients. DO NOT SEND YOUR loved one here.

Rooms are terrible. They couldn't find a bed long enough Not enough staff 2 to 4 people for 28 to 30 patients Didn't understand the seriousness of the patient. Staff they had tried but administration was terrible and never available No activities for people with walkers or wheelchairs Food was not for diabetes Never saw anyone from community. No one ever contacted us about request. This is the third company to own and run the place in 4 years.

In my opinion, Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation - Smith Ranch is fine. They're doing a nice job. They have a nice dining room for the residents. They do amazing physical therapy for Mom, and she's doing pretty good. It's a nice place, and it is one the best rehab places in the area.

Pinewood Hills is too big that it overwhelmed my sister. You walk into the dining room and everything was too massive, and she was a loner. But the people are very friendly and warm. I would recommend it to other people looking for this type of facility.

My mother was in Kindred for a month. The physical therapy was good. It's a newer place, so the rooms were nicer. The staff she had were very good, but very rushed all the time. There weren't enough people. They had a very small dining room, and the food was adequate.

I visited Smith Ranch and it's a very high quality facility. The place is very nicely kept. The residents seemed very happy.
